Amazon.

I get all my embarrassing TTC stuff from amazon. I'd die of shame buying them in person, because I'm on a mission against woo.

Onthewrongsideof30 · 19/04/2018 22:23

Does anyone believe that too much exercise can hinder you getting pregnant ?

LexieJean · 19/04/2018 22:58

Snap @june I’m cd13, had loads of ewcm cd11&12 and none today. No sex as had house guests and been v late to bed ‘entertaining’ plus generally stressful week at work both me and OH. There always seems to be something! Plus I have no idea about my ov as these internet cheapies are still completely without ov line. 🤦‍♀️

MichaelKnightsCar · 19/04/2018 23:02

Hi all, I was an original yammer but had to nc as was outed. But I'm on the fb group.
I missed out the last thread due to feeling deep despair and life being too busy to keep up (you all talk a lot! Grin)

Love the new thread name btw.

Hi Chook I've been diagnosed with PCOS too, although recently I've been a bit more unsure of the diagnosis. I have PCO but I ovulate and have regular periods. I got the PCOS diagnosis based on the fact that I have PCO + excess hair. The thing is that no-one really said how they measure the 'excess hair' factor but I've since found out it is using the ferriman-gallwey score & based on that scale I don't actually meet the score for being hirsute! I wish I'd known about it before talking to the Dr as I didn't have a good idea of what 'normal' was. I just have some hair I wish I hadn't & said so!

I've been taking the My-Ova Inofolic supplements since October but haven't really noticed a difference from them. I don't really have any issues with weight or skin. So I have been a bit unhappy with the PCOS diagnosis although I'm not getting pregnant anyway so not sure it makes a difference!

WonkyDonk87 · 20/04/2018 10:18

Morning ladies - back in the UK, tired but happy and relaxed. Just had a look at that Ferriman-Gallwey score.... wow. I always thought I was a hairy lady but turns out not by those pics - phew!
Cd33 and?14dpp here. No FP as yet but have been having cramps for a few days and boobs are sore. Going to the beach today so invariably I'll get my FP then when it's least convenient!

JaggyJobby · 20/04/2018 10:31

Haha @Bubblegum89 & @LexieJean think tumblewomb is a term someone else cane up with in one of the older yam threads, it's so accurate!

@Chooklass still got he book, DH thinks I'm being overly sensitive about it haha "don't let a book get you down, some people wait years to get a BFP and it's normal" haha. Well there's no charity shops round here, and I know the owners of the local bookshop so don't want them to know I had it, so it has returned to the back of the bookshelf for now.

Currently at the gynaecologist waiting room, my levithyroxine tablets are about to run out so I have to get a prescription for more. Dunno if she'll have a wee look while I'm here or not. Think I might have ovulated yesterday as I was super in the mood, but DH was tired so no luck there, then he was in the mood this morning but I wasn't haha. Argh! My gynaecologist is joined with a kids doctors (same reception desk and with a glass wall splitting the two waiting areas) so there are happy women with babies all over the place, urgh.

Welcome back @MichaelKnightsCar ! I've also NC since the first thread haha, also on the FB.

@ronswansonstache I also got told I'm on "the verge of" PCOS but don't really fit the description other than my cycles are occasionally 39 days rather than my usual 35, and that my testosterone and thyroid levels are a tiny bit high (only had one blood test for this though, apparently you are meant to have three before getting meds). I've actually always been underweight until recently (now on the lover end of correct weight) but am now on hypothyroidism tablets haha. Not too happy with this but to be honest I am at the point where I will try pretty much anything to have a child, and will ask questions later haha.

Pinkemi · 20/04/2018 10:38

@MynameisJune ah dont worry.. I had a 4 day period (1 day shorter then normal) but to be honest.. It was a pretty standard period. I just have a lot going on at the moment and im sure its my minds way of coping with it by pretending that im up the duff. meh.

all i can say is thank goodness its the weekend.. Im going to have a few drinks.. sod it.

JaggyJobby · 20/04/2018 10:57

Well, got a prescription to go to a fertility clinic, thankfully there are a few in my city although the best one (in terms of service and not charging you loads) is quite far away. DH is getting quite frustrated with all this, especially as it turns out his doctor only gave him the results of his blood test and not of the sperm sample he has to give so he might have to do it again haha. He can't complain, if far prefer to have a couple of wanks than to have someone poking around inside me multiple times over a month like I had!

Chooklass · 20/04/2018 12:00

Hi @ronswansonstache - wow, there are quite a few of us in same pcos boat here! I'm awaiting hysteroscopy and hycosy (as also have suspected endo), so will see what turns up there. It's so frustrating not knowing if the supplements and low sugar diet will make a blind bit of difference, but I keep telling myself it's good for lots of reasons, not just ttc! DH also has poor sperm results so my pco might not even be an issue!

@JaggyJobby urgh - men just don't have the same ttc experience as us at all, do they?! So chilled out!

SparkwoodAnd21 · 20/04/2018 12:46

@starwishing I saw this and thought of you. If your work continue to be arses and you look for more work, bear this in mind for your interviews.

@SparkwoodAnd21 that's awesome. They are being a massive pain! It's not fair 😆

SparkwoodAnd21 · 20/04/2018 12:57

Have you decided what you are going to do Star? Apart from double muff/nut punches for them all, obviously.

OP posts:
WonkyDonk87 · 20/04/2018 14:54

"Double muff/nut punches" has me in stitches 😂😂😂

Pinkemi · 20/04/2018 14:58

ha! I loved this one:

“How many of your staff are total arseholes?”

I would so have loved to have known at that time that my future manager was one. Grin

Paranormalbouquet · 20/04/2018 15:12

So I’ve worked out how to get a BFP.

Book in for important surgery to reduce risk of further miscarriages. Use condoms. Don’t have much sex.

Shocked. Not sure how I feel. Mostly worried that I’ll have to cancel my surgery and then miscarry again anyway. Haven’t told DH yet.

Chooklass · 20/04/2018 15:28

@Paranormalbouquet ! I'm not sure whether to congratulate you or not, given your circumstances this month?! Hope you are okay x

Pinkemi · 20/04/2018 15:29

@Paranormalbouquet no way.. you got a BFP??

How if you were using condoms?! Confused

Paranormalbouquet · 20/04/2018 15:33

I honestly have no idea. I suppose they aren’t the best form of contraception but we used them properly and each time. Just checked the box and they are in date. I really wasn’t expecting a positive test, just I’m 5-7 days late and am always very regular.

I haven’t had big problems getting pregnant but I’ve had big problems staying that way. Just called recurrent miscarriage clinic and left a message.

WonkyDonk87 · 20/04/2018 15:40

Para I really want to send you every congratulation/Pom Pom dance I can, but I totally get that you're probably really fucked up and anxious right now. So a tentative Pom Pom shiver in your direction, and I'm raising my plastic glass of prosecco in your direction (I'm on holiday - no judgement please)

SparkwoodAnd21 · 20/04/2018 15:46

Wow Para! I am also tentatively shaking my pom-poms at you. All things are crossed.

No judgement here Wonky. I’d bloody love one of those but it’s frowned upon when you are working with children. Bloody squares.

Here's to you @Paranormalbouquet !

STOP! Yammer time. 🍠
Paranormalbouquet · 20/04/2018 15:57

Thanks everyone. Wonky I could really use a plastic glass of prosecco (or maybe neat gin) to calm my nerves but I suppose I better abstain.

Called DH. He's beyond shocked but thinks this one is meant to be. I think we just got a dud condom and will have to anxiously wait it out. Have zero symptoms but decided last time after having severe nausea for weeks and miscarrying anyway to try not pay too much attention to symptoms.

LimpLettice · 20/04/2018 16:00

God, Paranormal! You really are a fertile fecker! It's so hard after miscarriage, so much conflict. I'm still in a state, 9 weeks today, and I still won't believe anything until much further on. This is 4th go for you as well isn't it? I really hope the clinic have a plan to help this time. Bed rest and such maybe?

Very tentative congrats and a big hug too.

WonkyDonk87 · 20/04/2018 16:01

I have pre-mixed gin in a can too (guess who grew up like a total lush by the sea? Hmm) I'll drink it for you. DH and I are planning holidays and enjoying the fact that it's actually hotter here at home than it was in Portugal! How long till you're with DH Para? Hope you're ok
