Cups, ohhhh brooking so hard that all is well. Poor you, you absolutely don't deserve this stress.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 29/03/2018 10:57

Also brooking like crazy for Cups

DancerOnIce · 29/03/2018 12:15

Oh Cups Flowers I like the sound of keeps calculations though. Brooking for you

keepitgoing · 29/03/2018 13:53

Hi all
Still brooking away here
Any exciting Easter plans? I've just eaten a load of mini eggs...

DancerOnIce · 30/03/2018 18:35

Eating loads of chocolate is the best plan! Hope everyone’s doing well

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 30/03/2018 20:25

Happy Easter brookers! Just updating on my beta test. It's doubled up to 153. Still bleeding bright red blood pretty constant so not feeling too confident. I was honestly really shocked it had doubled though. The plan is to go back in on Wednesday for another blood test and potential a scan if still lots of bleeding. I'm 5 weeks today by dates but I defo think the embryo implanted late so probably a good few days behind that. I'm on bed rest, the clinic said I didn't necessarily need full bed rest but every time I walk for more than a few mins I bleed a lot heavier so I'm trying to stay still as much as I can. I'm so bored already! Hope you are all having a lovely weekend Smile

DancerOnIce · 30/03/2018 21:23

Oh Cups how scary! You must be in bits. Such great news the number has gone up though. Get lots of rest Flowers

keepitgoing · 31/03/2018 07:18

Oh gosh cups how scary. If the HCG is rising so perfectly then the emby is hanging in there. Remember the Brooker who had a full on period and didn't realise she was pg? V tough to be on bed rest with a little one, but make the most of it. Xx

NoMaybeAboutIt · 31/03/2018 10:50

Oh Cups that sounds so frightening. But its amazing news that your HCG is doubling so beautifully. I hope the bleeding eases following some rest xxx

DancerOnIce · 31/03/2018 20:21

How are you getting on Maybe?

Imps9 · 02/04/2018 10:40

Hello all

Hope you had a good Easter Sunday yesterday! We did, but it was knackering. Looking forward to a bit of a quieter day today.

How is the spotting Cups? And how are you other two diffed folks getting on, Maybe and Dancer??

Still no AF here. B-B is 17 months now. I guess I may have to wait until I stop feeding him completely - I'm not keen on weaning him off totally when we still both enjoy feeding, seems a bit sad to deprive B-B of something he clearly still wants/needs for the sake of a second baby which may never actually materialise. And a bigger age gap has its benefits anyway. I was slightly fixated on the 2 year age gap which seems the norm these days, but I read this which put my mind at rest a lot. Obvs there's no right answer to the question of an ideal age gap, but it's v reassuring to read that a big age gap has its benefits.

Right, B-B is napping, dinner is on, so I might do some crochet for a little while! Happy Easter Monday everyone.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 02/04/2018 11:31

Happy Easter Monday to you too Imps! Everyone I know had a 2 year gap. I was really upset that we didn't, but in hindsight, 4.5 years really will work nicely. The thought of a toddler and twins makes me shudder Wink what you crocheting? I'm starting a Sophie's universe. I've akways wanted to make one, and now I'm not really working in going to go for it!

How are you holding up Cups?

How you feeling Dancer? And lovely Keep?

I'm just waiting for my midwife to come and do my 16 weeks check. Still feeling super sick and tired. But I think it's par for the course. I have my next scan on Thursday, then next consultant appointment next week.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 02/04/2018 12:35

Happy Easter everyone! I can't lie it's not been a good one in our house. I've continued bleeding, it's constant and as heavy as a period. I've also been in pain. I ended up going to the epu yesterday and had more bloods and examination. My beta is still doubling, I can scarcely believe it! The midwife did say my cervix is closed but below it I was bleeding heavily. I'm back there tomorrow for another check. I'm feeling so so anxious though and still can't see how this can end well when the bleeding isn't slowing at all. Maybe has your bleeding been that heavy or has it been more spotting?

Imps now I have a nearly 3 year old I genuinely can't imagine having a 2 year gap. Toddlers are really really hard work!

DancerOnIce · 02/04/2018 12:45

I love that article imps I always wanted a smaller gap too... maybe 2.5-3 years. But didn’t end up ttc until F was 2.5 in the end. I have become a bit obsessed with calculating age gaps when anyone announces a pregnancy. If all goes well with this pregnancy, there will be over 4 years between F and the baby. I never thought I’d want that much of a gap, but I actually think it’ll be ideal for all of us. F included.

Hope all went well with the midwife maybe. I still haven’t told mine. But she didn’t see me until 9 weeks last time and I’m still —somehow— only 6+4 now, so I’ll wait another week or 2 before phoning.

I’ve been feeling really sick and tired the last few days. I have work tomorrow and not sure how I’ll hide it. I haven’t been at work since last Tuesday and I wasn’t feeling too bad then. I wish I wasn’t feeling so rough, but at the same time I’m super happy to actually have symptoms and know something is going on

DancerOnIce · 02/04/2018 12:46

Sorry cups cross post

I’m so sorry about all the scary bleeding. It’s amazing news your beta is still doubling though. Let us know how you get on tomorrow Flowers

NoMaybeAboutIt · 02/04/2018 13:26

Oh Cups that bleeding must be so scary. I only had one gush of red blood, the rest was lots of spotting. All coming from my cervix though. Did the epu give you any indication as to what may be causing the bleed? I'm so chuffed that your HCG is doubling still. I kbow Musical had period bleeds with both pregnancies, and all was well

Sorry about the sickness Dancer, it's so grim. But I totally get what you mean about it being reassuring.

Appointment went ok. BP is a little high for me, but she's not worried. I think it's just white coat syndrome. Just a lot of scan booking really. They don't even listen to heartbeats at 16 weeks anymore Shock but at least I have scan in a few days to temporarily put my mind at rest

Imps9 · 02/04/2018 19:42

Oh Cups I don't know what to say. It's brilliant that the HCG is doubling but the bleeding and pain must be horrible. I truly truly hope the bleeding is just one of those things and nothing horrible. Will they not scan you?

Maybe the policy has changed (in our region at least) so that when I was pregnant with B-B, they didn't listen to the heartbeat AT ALL!! Apart from an old-school midwife who said "I shouldn't be doing this, but I think all mothers-to-be should hear their baby's heartbeat"!

OP posts:
NoMaybeAboutIt · 02/04/2018 20:04

It's madness Imps I thibk the consultant may listen in at some point lucky I have a home doppler

What's everyone up to this evening? I'm making a late dinner. Crazy stuff

DancerOnIce · 02/04/2018 20:34

Wow I didn’t realise that about the heartbeat! Luckily I have a Home Doppler too for when the time comes

Well I only feel half human at the moment when I’m sat/laid down, so I’ve been in bed for the last 1.5 hours! If it’s anything like the last couple of nights I’ll be asleep by 9:30!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 02/04/2018 21:23

Oh good, I'm pleased it's not just me!! Sleep is the best thing for you Dancer Easter Smile

DancerOnIce · 03/04/2018 19:51

How did it go today cups?

I’ve not felt ill since this morning which worries me, but I know it’s probably normal. Wish I could stop worrying

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/04/2018 16:41

Just checking in for Cups' news

How are you feeling today Dancer? Did you manage work?

DancerOnIce · 04/04/2018 19:16

Hope everything’s ok cups

I’m feeling ok thanks maybe Which is making me really worried! I’ve not felt particularly sick the last 2 days, just some indigestion I suppose. I’m worried it’s all going the same way as it did a couple of months ago. Anyway, at least work was fine yesterday!

How are you feeling now?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 06/04/2018 20:55

Just remember symptoms come and go Dancer. I know it's so hard not to worry though. Have you braved the gp/midwives yet?

Much the same here, incredibly nauseous still. Had my first growth scan yesterday and all was ok. Twin 2 has a slightly smaller head than twin 1 which obviously made me panic for absolute no reason at all Blush
