When do you start doing the ovulation tests ? Mine have just arrived so excited to start but don't want to waste them

@lovewinemorerthanhusband how longs ur cycle? Mine is usually 26-27 days so I would test from prob day 10. They say u ovulate around 14days b4 ur next af but it's not always the same for everyone.

Oh god I just worked out that if I ovulate tomorrow I will be due af on Friday 13th! 😩

These are ovulation tests before anyone gets excited, the top was Tuesday, middle yesterday and the bottom today. Would you say today's is a surge or not? 🤞

Thank you all so much ladies! This holiday was definitely what I needed, had an amazing time and got a great tan my SO and I have decided that our approach this month is just to be more relaxed, my fertile week starts next week and if it happens it happens, if it doesn’t then there’s always next month! Hopefully I stick to it lol anyway I don’t have high hopes for this month as SO has been having plenty beer this holiday and I’ve been enjoying cocktails and I heard that alcohol can stop you from conceiving? Oh well, not going to worry about it. Staying positive! Hoping the PMA doesn’t stop as soon as I get home on Sat lol. Hope everyone is doing well, will properly catch up soon!

@hayleyfx glad you had an amazing holiday. Long may the PMA last. It's a great way to look at it. I got to that point this month too. We gave it our best shot, but if not, we'll try again next month and the month after until we get there.

@weasledee your temps seem really high. Are they always that high? Have you done a pregnancy test recently? If you take the temps off the chart. I'd say your a little rocky in temps but generally that's pre ov. But looking at the temps you're way up. I guess possibly a couple days away from Ov. Maybe try a few more opks again see if they get dark again.

@Beck1988 and @Martydog they are positive opks! Go and get busy- preferably for the next three days!
@Lovewinemorethanhusband they usually have instructions of when to start. Pretty sure from memory it's day 10 if you have a 28 day cycle and add a day for every day longer your cycle is. Good luck!
@hayleyfx glad you are having a good holiday. Did you say you're in Tenerife? How's the weather? I'm heading there tomorrow!! 😀 As far as alcohol I don't believe that as my DS was a bit of a surprise conceived in a very boozy few weeks! I wish I could be as relaxed this time!

My cycle is around 31 days so start around day 14 then ? It's exciting but also nerve racking thinking about it all and hoping that it works

Forgot vital information! The high peak day I had a cold! :) normally on an average day I'm around 37.1

@weasledee how many days is your cycle usually?

All this talk of OPK's is making me want to start doing them too. I can see them getting addictive after a while! It's so annoying at the moment not having any idea where I am in my cycle. I finally seem to have stopped bleeding after my mc after 7 weeks so we're DTD just in case, but I think probably it'll be easier once AF comes so hopefully my cycle will be on the way to "resetting" itself. If things don't settle down soon I might have to get myself a stack of cheap OPK's and give it a go.

@weasledee always hard to read BBT until you’ve had a full month to base it on. What cycle day are you on and how long are your cycles usually? For me I’m usually around 36.1/36.2 coming up to ovulation and then post 36.6/36.9 so to me your temps are quite high, but different folks different strokes. Looks to me (if you take the spike out because of the cold) your temps will hopefully stay the same or get a bit lower and then you will see a spike. Then hopefully for 3 days after that spike it stays high. I’ve attached a snapshot of what my cycle usually looks like. It will always vary slightly but generally you start to see a pattern so next month it will be easier for you to read. But what I suppose I’m getting at is, I don’t think you’ve ovulated yet and I would keep testing and BDing just to be sure!

I enjoy seeing all the charts and would love to join in but the patterns I work it's pretty much impossible.
Got all my results back and nothing was found, so so so frustrating, they don't know where the pain is coming from so being referred to a gyno/urologist. At lease I'm heading in the right direction for answers.

My evening worry for today is.... what if I miss my ovulation? 😱 this is a new fear but I suspect I'll now always have this fear while ttc! But seriously, how often should we be doing opks before ov to ensure we see it?
