@Primrose16 I'm glad you are doing ok. All things considered. Also glad the doc is paying attention. My GP referred me to a gynae specialist at the hospital and I was lucky to get an appointment in three weeks. I had the bloods taken there and will go back 7dpo to get the others. The pelvic US is booked for 4 weeks. That is partly because he requested a particular person and she's away. But I don't get results until appt in 7 weeks so that wasn't a problem. They are going to check my ovaries and my egg reserve then so that's good.

Boboelephant · 28/03/2018 20:52

Fingers crossed @Laney79
@BabynameEdie I'm not an expert but I think they usually say short cycles are a problem if your luteal phase is super short. Like less than 10 days as it can take 12 days for egg to implant. If yours is 13 I should think it would be fine.
@ApplesTheHare it's so hard. I hear stories all the time about when people relax and take a holiday, bang they get pregnant. But can I relax and stop worrying? No! So it's definitely easier said than done!

BabynameEdie · 28/03/2018 21:26

@ApplesTheHare thanks for your message. So sorry to hear you've been waiting so long for af to arrive after mc. I can't imagine how frustrating that must be. And yep I've heard too that holidays and not worrying = pregnancy but it's almost impossible to make yourself feel relaxed. Although a friend of mine did start yoga and meditation classes and she thinks it really did help lead to her little baby. Who knows. Try anything eh!
@Boboelephant thanks. I hope so. Am terrible at googling everything. I think I have an addiction to google!! How are you? Where are you at at the moment?
Am hoping it's almost FW here..here we go again🤞

BabynameEdie · 28/03/2018 21:31

@Laney79 Am just catching up with the posts and am so sorry to hear your story. This place has been a wonderful support to me recently. I miscarried my first pregnancy at 8 weeks in middle of Feb and it's the hardest, saddest and most harrowing experience I've ever been through. But this really has been a lifeline.
I'm going to try and catch up on where you are at the moment by reading through the posts but just wanted to say welcome and you're not alone 💜

Boboelephant · 28/03/2018 21:37

@BabynameEdie haha you are definitely not alone with that obsession! My work organised therapy for me after my latest loss and my therapist keeps telling me to stop googling!!! 🤣🤦‍♀️ CD12 here and entering fw too. Thankfully we are going on holiday on Friday so I really hope this does help!!! Just had acupuncture tonight so uterus is ready!

BabynameEdie · 28/03/2018 21:41

@Boboelephant oooh acupuncture? I haven't done that...and I really will try anything! (Yoga classes start next week!)
Also my pregnancy that I lost happened while on holiday, so here's to your holiday!!
I'm CD6 but according to my bbt chart, FW starts tomorrow. We're also moving house tomorrow & Friday though!

Cakelaur · 28/03/2018 21:42

@BabynameEdie your cycle is very similar to mine.
I have 26days, ov cd 14 and 12 day LP.
Like @Boboelephant said... as long as you have more than 10day LP then bub can implant fine.
@Primrose16 I'm so pleased they're going to test you. No one should have to go through the losses you have and not be referred. No idea how long it takes but hopefully soon.

BabynameEdie · 28/03/2018 21:49

Thanks @Cakelaur that's good to know!
Hope all is well with you x

Boboelephant · 28/03/2018 22:00

@BabynameEdie yep I'm trying it all now. It took a year after my EP to fall again (which ended in MMC) and I really don't want to wait that long again! Unfortunately I have longer cycles so feel like I'm always waiting! I started fertility acupuncture last month which I enjoy. Didn't fall first time but my cycle was shorter and it helped back pain so fingers crossed it works this month! Fingers crossed for both our weekends!! Good luck with your house move.

peachesarenom · 28/03/2018 22:56

I'm back! Cycle 2 post 1st AF post mc. Lots of stress at work, finding it difficult to concentrate on DTD during this fertile week and hubby away for expected ovulation! Typical!

Hi ApplesTheHare I'd get second opinion, is that possible?

Hi Boboelephant good luck with all the tests.

Funkyemzie · 29/03/2018 00:45

Hi everyone, just checking in, I haven't read through all the posts yet, I will though!

Just a quick update, CD8 today after my first af after MC. Is it normal that I'm still getting times that I completely break down, it's normally while I'm cleaning or doing the dishes on my own.

I've started to get the faintest of lines on my opks so dtd tonight and planning on the next couple of nights. Not really an issue for us as we're quite 'active' anyway. I so hope the myths about being super fertile after an MC are true.

@Hidcat how are you doing lovely, did you get your bloods back yet?

I hope everyone is doing ok and those going through bad times, my heart goes out to you through this awful point in your life. Xxx

BabynameEdie · 29/03/2018 01:39

@Funkyemzie it's not just you. I had a bit of a breakdown yesterday and couldn't work out why I was so sad, then just burst into tears when my husband came home & realised it was all mc related pain still. I feel I should have moved on by now but also realise that's ridiculous as I'm also only just post first AF after MC. I guess it all takes time, so we've got to be patient with ourselves.
Sounds like we're in a similar place although I'm CD 6 & starting opk testing tomorrow. Also really hope the post mc high fertility myth is true 🤞. Good luck!

HidCat · 29/03/2018 07:37

@Funkyemzie bloods came back at 31 last Wednesday and then had spontaneous bleed mid coitus Tuesday night which carried on until lunchtime yesterday. I'm calling it CD1 though it stopped very quickly, but quite a bit came out initially. Seems to have eased my mind a little just thinking of it that way lol though a 1 day period seems a bit optimistic and I know we may have just "irritated the cervix". Got to do a HPT on Tuesday and call EPU with the results so will use a FRER to be on the safe side. Cheapies are negative now. Just hoping that cycles get back to normal quickly again. Stocked up on OPKs ready to start from next week!

I've had odd days where it hits me like a tonne of bricks still so don't feel that you're alone on that. I've booked 2 weeks off work around my EDD so I don't have to worry about that affecting work again though they've been brilliant and I still have days where I struggle though it is definitely getting easier. I had a voucher for a spa day for Christmas so going to use that but I know it will be weird as it was supposed to be for a pregnancy based spa day and I haven't had the strength to book it yet in case it sets me off. Hoping we'll get pregnant in the next few months and then it may not be so bad. 🤞

Cakelaur · 29/03/2018 08:34

Whoop! The DTD marathon is OVER!!! And I'm still alive! I've officially ovulated and I'm 3dpo! Started pineapple core from 1dpo and now I'm trying serenity progesterone cream as of today. I feel good about this cycle. There's nothing more we could have done. Plus my OH has had the best news yesterday so wE've been bloody celebrating with champagne. I am now back to my no drinking again!! Haha

@peachesarenom hi again. Sorry hubby is away over O! It's such a buggar when life doesn't fit around our cycles. I was talking to my OH the other night saying if we don't catch this cycle next cycle is going to be a pain!! I'm gonna have to travel into central London every night, DTD and come home to take care of our new puppy! Haha!
@Funkyemzie sorry you're having a hard time of it. I found I'd break down ALOT!!! Up until about two weeks ago it was practically every day. The last two weeks I think my hormones have levelled out a bit and I've started to accept the MC and I've started to move on from it and actually see a future. Before now it was just all I thought about. I'm now on cycle 3 since mc.
@HidCat I did that as well. Booked two weeks off over EDD to go to france. Didn't want to be here at all.

Boboelephant · 29/03/2018 10:33

Hi @peachesarenom welcome back. And Thankyou! Of course I'm hoping that I will catch next week on holiday and won't have to have the tests! Or better yet I can go back to the stupid rude doctor and be 8 weeks pregnant! I hope you manage to get some bd in before DH goes away.
@Funkyemzie it's totally normal. The trauma of losing a baby is so distressing and stays with us. I think that when we're busy and distracted it's easier to look forward. But when you're alone all the thoughts come out full pelt and can consume. It sounds like a cliche but I have found time does really heal and letting yourself feel it and grieve is important. Sending hugs.
Hugs to everyone!! Don't worry about being strong. We are all super strong. We have gone through horrible loss and are still here battling on and still trying. As someone who tried to be strong after the first loss I realised after the second that I had not processed it and it was all much harder. Take care of yourselves and be kind to yourself!!! Pep talk over! 😘
@HidCat I hope you're at 0 on Tuesday and back to normal asap.
@Cakelaur well done. What a marathon!! Hope you've had fun celebrating and fingers crossed it works this month.

weasledee · 29/03/2018 11:42

Well done cake! I'm impressed!

Boboelephant · 29/03/2018 11:50

@weasledee what's happened with your temps and opks? Did you get darker line again? Has temp spiked?

weasledee · 29/03/2018 12:40

No didn't get a darker line and temp has stayed low for 2 days on the run. Managed to dtd twice and might try again tonight.
Where are you up to bobo?

Boboelephant · 29/03/2018 13:13

@weasledee I'm no expert on bbt (a massive beginner actually!) but my understanding is that when your temp goes up and stays up for 3 days that confirms ovulation. So sounds like it's still coming for you! I would keep dtd for a few more days!
I'm cd13 and feeling like fw has arrived. I ovulated day 17 last month so a busy weekend for me! Hardly seen DH this week and we're off on holiday tomorrow so kinda glad it hasn't happened yet. Fingers crossed for us both!

weasledee · 29/03/2018 13:50

Hmmm thing is bobo the line on my OV sticks have all but disappeared?!?

Boboelephant · 29/03/2018 14:25

@weasledee hmm odd. I dont know! Do you usually feel ovulation? How do you usually know that you have?

Claire138 · 29/03/2018 15:06

@weasledee you mentioned your temps were 36.9/37? For me, they are my post ovulation temperatures. Is it possible you may have already ovulated? Whereabouts are you in your cycle? Maybe post a pic of your chart and we can have a look and see if we notice anything, if you like? BBT can be tricky, which is why I threaten sometimes to stop because there can be a lot of analysing!

Cakelaur · 29/03/2018 15:16

@weasledee quite often your temp will be really low just before O. So keep DTD. My opks were a bit off for my first two cycles. Post a pic of your chart. I've attached mine. I have two questionable temps after chiropractor which always sees a jump.
