The Yam Commandments are as follows;

• Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day

• Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only

• Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways

• Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month

• Thou shalt not be offended by strong language

• Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams

• Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

• Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

Well it would seem my body might not hate me so much after all. DH is due Home today, I usually ovulate on CD11 (which is today) but I’ve only just got EWCM this morning so hopefully ovulation will happen tomorrow. We are planning all the sex this weekend as he goes away again on Monday!

Thank you Yammers. DP is half day from home today so I will pick him up on the way. I don't really want to go, mad as it sounds, but I think there is very little they will be able to say anyway. Despite strengthening lines I still feel like they are going to laugh at me and tell me it is all in my imagination / leftover from before. Will certainly update you later.

I asked if I could have a scratch @si1ver but abc don’t offer it unless there’s a history of mc. But I’m concerned I should be having one to increase chance of bean sticking. Did you ask or was it recommended to you?

@LexieJean based on the reading I'd done, I decided I wanted one. I spoke with the clinic and they told me I could either fly over for it or arrange it locally. I decided on local. So I called round and found someone happy to do it on that basis. It's costing me £150, which of it helps is a small price to pay, especially when compared with IVF.

So am four days late - no sign of my lady days and I did a clear blue test this morning which was negative. Why is my body so off balance? The good news is, I can drink cocktails with friends tonight without worrying and by the way I'm feeling I may have A LOT of cocktails! Hope you're all doing ok! Xx

Hi all. I'm on day 40 of my cycle. And confused! But I need a virtual slap to stop me symptom spotting.

I'm the same @myusernameisnotmyusername - have felt really weak, nauseous and generally not myself today and keep hoping I'm getting false negatives but I have been late before (only since ttc mind!) so am not holding out much hope. I just want my period to arrive now so I can start again! I also have a pelvic ultrasound on Tuesday so not sure if a period would interfere with that?

I know it's horrendous when it's late. I'm getting cramps now so I think it's on the way

A pelvic ultrasound is fine with a period.

I am feeling a little better today, thanks all. Just still very sad for myself. April was our cut-off month last autumn before our bfp and it's looming so close. I think I might look into adoption again, maybe go along to an open evening and chat to some people. DH and I would just very much like a child/some children soon, however we get them.

Speaking of spinkbarket I’ve got loads of it just as period ends. Can’t try this month anyway but wonder if it will be another short cycle or if it’s just my useless cervix playing tricks.

So I'm no further forward. Nothing other than thickened endometrial lining seen at scan, so diagnosis of unknown location / too early / possible failure. Means nothing. More bloods again on Sunday, then some sort of plan Monday. They did tell tell miscarriage consultant has fucked off to her home country til June, hence late appointment. So more worrying, not much else. Pfft.

Some c*nt on one of the ttc/infertility fb groups I’m in just posted a video thinking she was dead funny. She filmed her husband picking up a “positive” pregnancy test and he was so excited and almost in tears and then she was like “just kidding, it’s fake” hahahaha yeah fucking hilarious that. Idiot.

I don't have dates really. Miscarriage bleeding started 17th Feb, so 5 weeks ish. Can't be much less, as bfp was last Friday. The sonographer did say she didn't expect to see much, and I have a pretty tilted uterus which I know makes visibility poor. Nonetheless I don't feel remotely pregnant apart from tiredness and I just can't see through the misery enough to be positive.

Baby dust is pukey.
