TTC #2 April BFPs

Following on from our last (many) threads, this is one for anyone hoping for a Christmas baby number two.

My stats -

Age: 35
Cycle: 24+ lost count..
DC: 3yo this month
AF due 19th April
Not a hint of a bfp in that time

I'm charting now and send myself crazy every tww so come join me for the bumpy ride x

BFN this morning, what a surprise
I know logically it's probably a good thing as my health isn't great at the moment, but it's still a bit shit.

Went to the dentist this afternoon and while looking in my mouth asked if I was pregnant. So of course I was straight on good old Google to see if a dentist can tell you're pregnant while testing negative officially lost it

Mumma100 for me, I'm around 36.6 during follicular phase, then I have an ovulation dip down to 35.5, day after O then rises by 0.2 degrees. I have attached this cycles chart (as actually it's super clear this month, not usually though, before was really rocky)

Bambamber why did your dentist bloody ask you that, way to get your hopes up. Have you tested early though? Any sign of AF? Fx for you still

Wow twittlelook at those stable temps! Mine are sooo rocky but there is a similar pattern each month.

mayago yep im obviously doing that! I prefer the gradual coming to terms with a bfn over the waiting and build up just for a massive disappointment. Its self preservation!

Sorry about the bfn bambamber.Hhow many days dpo are you? And what a strange question from the dentist! Was he about to do X-rays or something? I had bleeding gums last time I was pregnant and apparently that’s quite common, but I. Can’t think how he would tell from your teeth?!

I think I’m going to be out this month. Only a few days dpo and feeling bloated and crampy, which is typical for me pre AF Fertility Friend tells me to test on 26th, and Ovia on 25th, it I’m hoping to just wait and see if AF comes.

CatRen27 first time they have been that stable but also first cycle I have been temping same time every day after a decent night's sleep!

@Mumma100 I'd get a proper BBT thermometer as the temp changes can be really quite small. My temps are generally quite rocky as can be hard to take it at the same time with DD sleep.

I actually feel a lot less obsessive this month as I'm taking a month off temping and it's nice.

I'm 10dpo today and normally I'd be itching to test by now. Got acupuncture tomorrow so I'll see if I get any sighs from that! Otherwise I'm planning on waiting til AF arrives this weekend. Will try to only test if late.

Those BFN are so disappointing sorry @Bambamber.

I know the feeling of AF turning up early unexpectedly @largepinotplease I am really hoping to get a 'normal' cycle this month.

Don't be too disheartened @Pinklily1 PG and AF symptoms can be really similar.

App is saying that I am due to ovulate on Thursday. Have been BD'ing every day since Saturday. Started getting some spotting yesterday and again this morning. Not sure what is going on but I was wondering if it could be ovulation bleeding. Has anyone on here experienced that before?

@sodababy2 I am also trying to have a more relaxed cycle. Did you use OPKs this month? Have never temped before but if this is not my month then I have decided to go all out next month with BBT and OPKs.

Geegeegirl If I DTD too much I get a bit of bleeding, can just be where you knock a blood vessel a bit too much?

@sodababy2 @twittlebee thanks what’s your app called? I only use ovia, I don’t pay to know how attention to temperature but still find myself doing it every morning 😂

@Mumma100 it is Fertility Friend - it feels a bit clunky at first but you get used to it. It is free unless you want to upgrade to VIP which has some good added features but I think you get those all unlocked for your first 30 days with the app anyway. Also you can just pester us on here for extra information (that the VIP would give you) to save you a bit of money

Hey geegee i regularly get ovulation spotting in the days leading up to an opk+ so could well be that. Usually accompanied by cramps. Doesn't exactly put me in thr mood but needs must!

@catren27 yeh I think it might be that. I'm just so confused by all the mid-cycle bleeding I've been having since I had the mirena removed. Now every time I get any unusual bleeding I start panicking.

Pink it's still too early to tell! Though it is a good coping strategy to be a little wary

Soda I don't think I could temp reliably now, as DD interrupts my sleep cycle too frequently. She was up for the day at 4am yesterday, and 5:30 this morning I did enjoy analysing the data last time around though! Fingers crossed the more peaceful approach works. Do you find the acupuncture relaxing? I keep meaning to try reflexology again, but there's never the time!

Geegee I've never had OV bleeding, but occasionally from more DTD than usual!

Geegeegirl AF due 20th and I have already said to myself I am allowed to start testing from Saturday (14th) with FRERs. Given up this month trying to curb my POAS addiction

Well my plan to dtd every day for 10 days has already gone wrong. Tore my bicep muscle at the gym yesterday and it’s just been horrifcly painful 😱 Luckily Dr gave me some great painkillers this morning so feeling very floaty like right now 🙌 So no action last night but will try and get it done today x

Thankyou ladies. My cycles still haven't returned as still breastfeeding, been having positive OPKs and EWCM for 6 months though and more recently spotting in between. If I had ovulated when I though I would, I would have been 15dpo when I tested.

I don't know why he asked, don't know if it was a stupid attempt at small talk, but seems stupid to attempt small talk while he's looking in my mouth! I pay to see him as he normally puts me at ease and have always felt very comfortable around him. I get a scorecard with the health of my teeth and gums etc. And my gum health has slightly declined in the last 6 months and apparently gums can give telltale signs of pregnancy, though it seems it's just coincidence.

I will take some time now to look after myself and get myself back feeling happy and healthy. I will keep lurking on here though as I'm hoping to see you lovely ladies getting your BFPs!

Decline in gums is also a thing when BFing, it is why you get free dental care for the year after your baby's birth as well as during pregnancy.

So after having a good feel of my cervix and putting it all on ovia my fertile window changed to being highly fertile now! So I pounced on the hubby 😂

Hi ladies, how is everyone doing? Hope there has been lots of DTD for those in the FW. I’m currently in TWW and convinced AF is going to show soon. I’m having my usual period like cramps which I get in the run up. Only difference this month is my boobs are really sore.

It feels like we are hurtling throughoutaapril really fast. We will definitely need a May thread for those of us don’t get a BFP this month!

Hi @Pinklily when is your AF/BFP due?

According to app I am due to OV tomorrow but I haven't been using any OPKs this month so I have no idea if that is right. Me and DP have been having sex daily and am going to try and keep it up until the end of the week. Finding the time between both of us working and DD waking up at 5.30am it has been tricky so far

I am kind of dreading this month's TWW. The first few weeks of my cycle seem to fly by and the last two seem to drag so much!
