I’ve just done a ovulation test and I’m apparently ovulating now we dtd last night is that enough? Or have I gotta jump my dh now? Sorry everyone for the tmi but I’m a bit of a novice at this.

HidCat · 08/04/2018 14:02

@Beckyboo123 I'd jump him, doesn't do any harm!

TTCnum2 · 08/04/2018 14:22

Hi ladies jumping in on this one! Just coming into my fertile week so always nice to have other ladies to chat to during this very looooooong time.

Had a chemo left pregnany in Feb, didn’t manage to conceive in March every though we dtd on and off through and I was using clear blue ovulation kits donee we had been dtd at the right time.

Not going to dive my self crazy this Mo th and have just decided to dtd every 3 days for the month and we will see! X

Mumma100 · 08/04/2018 16:01

Obvs I meant chemical not chemo! That’s me above changed my name as ttc is confusing in ttc threads!

Geegeegirl · 08/04/2018 16:48

Hi everyone. Been a bit absent as I have been visiting family for a few days. Was lovely to see everyone but the constant questions about baby no.2 can be a bit tricky. Trying to not tell people we are trying as I feel that just puts even more pressure on us.

Coming into my fertile week now. Clue says I should O on Thursday. I haven't been using opks as I have been out of my normal routine. Need to get back on that tomorrow.

Sorry about the BFN @may. Hopefully it's a bit too early and you will still get your BFP this month! It's so hard to try and stay positive especially when you can't wallow in it with DC around.

Good luck to everyone testing soon. And everyone who is DTD this week I hope the DC sleep and we can all get down to it!

Peanut1980 · 08/04/2018 19:35

@beckyboo hope you managed to dtd today. I told my hubby this morning that this month we’re going to do it every day for the next 10 days. I’m due to ovulate next week. Although I don’t want him thinking I’m that keen for it out of my fertile window 😂😂😂

TwittleBee · 08/04/2018 20:20

Beckyboo123 hope you DTD but no worries if you didn't has spermies can live for 7 days. Also I know my DS was conceived with 5 day old spermies (was only time we done it that cycle and knew when I ovulated).

Mumma100 hello there! Hope you're more relaxed appraoch gives you a bfp and a sticky one at that.

Geegeegirl yeah questions are tricky aren't they! I just think some people don't realise how hard it can be to conceive. My Nan and Dad are particularly bad.

1dpo here, been using OPKs and BBT (had a rise this morning). Been having some doubts about whether we should have #2 right now. Done some maths on the finances and if we actually wait another year then we'd be financial stable and childcare won't be crippling us. Watch this space, it be this month we finally conceive now...

Pinklily1 · 08/04/2018 20:36

Hi laides

Welcome to Unicorn and Mumma

May, so sorry it was a BFN. Are you going to test again or just wait and see if AF arrives?

Twittle, I know what you mean about finances. I'e thought about putting it back, but then I worry that if we do that, it will takes ages to happen when we do get round to it.

Peanut, how long have you been TTC this time? Fingers crossed all goes well this month with the tests etc. 10 days in a row is impressive! I don't think we could keep that up (so to speak) longer!!

We managed to DTD last night. I had a positive OPK on Thursday night, but didn't get to DTD, so hopefully last night will be enough. NO real idea when AF is due as this is my first cycle off the pill, so who knows what will happen!

Peanut1980 · 08/04/2018 20:43

@pinklily1 we’re on cycle 14 at the moment although I did have a miscarriage in August (so 8 months since then).

Every day is the plan but I’m sure we’ll skip a day or so. My sister in law has just announced she’s pregnant so it’s sent me into a ttc frenzy. I would love this to be our month and I’m trying to be positive. I don’t really expect it to happen though. Got to be in it to win it 😜

Beckyboo123 · 08/04/2018 21:04

Thanks everyone, didn’t manage to dtd as my dc woke up an wanted to play. Hopefully we have done enough. Also what does OPK stand for?

Pinklily1 · 08/04/2018 21:38

becky, just realised I have no idea what the letters stand for but it’s an ovulation test!

peanut, hope you are ok in light of your SIL news. Fingers crossed this is your month.

CatRen27 · 09/04/2018 03:03

It stands for ovulation predictor kit, just fyi 😄

I'm 7dpo today and obviously poas because why break a two year habit..! Obviously bfn and laughing at myself lol thank goodness it was one of my 20 internet cheapies!

OP posts:
TwittleBee · 09/04/2018 08:10

CatRen27 haha we cant help ourselves can we? Doesn't help when you know implantation could have happened already so you end up convincing yourself it is worth POAS

largepinotplease · 09/04/2018 10:13

Hi all, hope you all had nice weekends pouncing on your dps 😆

Pretty sure I'm out this month 😞 noticed a bit of blood when showering this morning and now I think AF is here (4 days early) as my pad was covered just now (sorry tmi) but the blood was quite different to usual, pink and almost mucus like?... I have had cramping over the weekend so I think it'll come in full force the next few days.

It's DHs 30th birthday in two weeks and I've organised a little surprise gathering/soirée and I was really hoping to get a bfp and tell him on his birthday but that's out now so I'll just drink all the wine and prosecco 🥂

Good luck everyone!

mayago · 09/04/2018 10:13

Tested again this morning, and still negative. I think I'll just wait a day or two for AF instead of weeing on money.

I've bought a CB digital OPK kit for this month, and hopefully it will make a difference! I didn't catch my peak on cheapie OPKs this month, and am assuming it happened. We did DTD most days in my fertile week, but it's something new to wee on in any case.

Welcome Unicorn and Mumma!

Geegee it is hard when you just want to curl up and wallow, but DC want to play! I guess being pregnant wouldn't be a picnic either though. I've been tired enough this cycle as it is!

Fingers crossed Pink! It only takes one.. Grin

That's typical, isn't it Beckyboo! Hopefully you've caught it!

Are you going to POAS every day CatRen? That's pretty much what I ended up doing. If I abstained in the morning, I'd use an IC in the afternoon, then wouldn't trust the negative so then would need to test with FMU.. Such a horribly stressful (and bloody expensive!!) thing to do to myself!! Used 3(!!) FRERs and goodness knows how many ICs Shock

TwittleBee · 09/04/2018 10:31

largepinotplease 4 days early, pink in colour and cramping - could be implantation? FX it is! Worth POAS if it doesn't change to its usual colour? Happy birthday to your DH, would be a nice surprise for him to have a BFP then.

mayago sorry about the BFM, you POAS too early though maybe? yeah hoping the OPK will curb your POAS addiction somewhat haha! But FX you wont need to use it.

TwittleBee · 09/04/2018 10:31

clearly meant BFN* haha

mayago · 09/04/2018 13:53

I think it'd be wishful thinking now if I was just testing too early Twittle. I'm having a lot of symptoms common to my last pregnancy over the past few days (spotty skin, fatigue, dizziness, cramping, milky CM, etc) but I really think it's in my head as if my body has been doing this for days now, it has had enough time to produce enough hCG for a positive on a FRER.

But, who knows! AF is expected in the next couple of days, so the TTC crazies can stop then please Blush

SJB90 · 09/04/2018 14:18

Hi everyone, so I ovulated this wkend just gone and we got plenty of DTD in! So fingers crossed this is our month!!

Ive just started a new thread asking for advice but i think ill re-post in here see what you all think... every couple of months (usually every other) I know when I ovulate cause i get bad ovulation pains. But this month I got my ovulation pains sat night (Right side) they're really painful and distinct I know I'm ovulating when this happens. Took painkillers and fell asleep woke up Sunday fine. But then last night (sunday) happened again more painful id say in my left side. Again took painkillers and curled up in bed but ive woke up this morning and my stomach is really sore and tender and bloated hurts to even sit down. I'm wondering if I've O'd twice and this is why I'm still sore today? Usually O pain only lasts a couple of hours. I also had positive OPKs from Friday, only faded and was negative this morning since fri. any thoughts? Any one else get O pain?

Baby dust xx

TwittleBee · 09/04/2018 14:31

mayago hopefully isn't in your head though! But I made this mistake last cycle (and every cycle before that) with looking at all the symptoms haha. Why do we do this!?

SJB90 yeah you very well could have ovulated twice, it is how you get paternal twins. I am convinced has happened to me this cycle as, like you, I have had my ov pain twice (they slowly build for a few hours before a final stab and then just have dull ache for rest of the day). Could be a double whammy of hormones making it worse for you? Baby dust to you too lovely

SJB90 · 09/04/2018 14:49

Twittlebee it's so sore today, its strange not cramping or anything just very tender.. thinking that's what it is I dont usually feel like each side releases an egg so that's what I'm putting it down to (for now anyway) if it gets worse I think a trip to the GP is in order.. fingers crossed, hopefully it just means we get an extra chance this month!xx

largepinotplease · 09/04/2018 16:06

Definitely out, AF came with a vengeance this afternoon- bright red blood so no mistaking it 😞 it's 4 days early and I didn't get a positive opk reading when I was due to ovulate so I think my system isn't where is says it is on my app....we just went for it around the time.

I think from when I finish this period we are just going to have to do it every other day during the month. With DS I fell working 3 months and wasn't tracing anything (honeymoon stage!) I think I'll move away from the app and see how we get on au natural 😬

Good luck everyone 🤞🏻

TwittleBee · 09/04/2018 16:21

largepinotplease urgh no!! I am so sorry Sad Really was thinking it was gonna be implantation for you. What app have you been using? Could you chart your BBT? Maybe start your OPKs 4 days earlier next cycle? Make sure you have lots of lovely glasses of prosecco at your DH's birthday celebrations in a couple of week

largepinotplease · 09/04/2018 17:09

Thank you Twittle, it's nice to be able to talk on here as it's not really something I'd discuss in real life (not in this much graphic detail anyway 🙈) my app is just called Ovulation Calculator and I've input my last 5 cycles but you never really know I suppose.

Definitely going to start trying again in a few weeks time and thank you I will most definitely enjoy some prosecco and celebrating with DH 🥂

🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 to you all

Mumma100 · 09/04/2018 23:17

Ladies this is the first month I’ve really charted my temps, I don’t have a basal monitor just a normal one with the one number after the decimal. How much of a rise do you notice around ovulation?
