Still trying to get my head round all the acronyms lol

Started trying last night but refusing to count this month as anything more than a practice run lol

For example, what do FRER and dpo stand for? 🤔

Hi @Englishpetal89 dpo means days post ovulation. FRER is a pregnancy test, first response early result 😊

A few more are:

dtd = doing the deed
Bd = baby dancing
Dh, dd, ds, dp = darling husband, daughter, son, partner
Af = aunty flo = period
Cm = cervical mucas

Errrrm can't think of anymore xxx

Englishpetal89 hi there and good luck on your journey with TTC (trying to conceive!) There is a list of acronyms under the Talk section of MN (mumsnet). I still do not know all the acronyms either, often having to look them up still haha

@susso I've been waiting so long to start TTC that I burst into tears while dtd last night. My husband was so confused!

It's just scary/exciting to think that I could be at this moment pregnant and not even know it.

@Englishpetal89 it's really exciting, but quite emotional too I'm finding (probably just me being a hormonal cow😂). When my DP decided he wanted to try too I was over the moon but he just wants to go with the flow however I'm a planner so I can't just do that😂 I guess he's right though, it'll happen when it happens!

@susso yeah I sympathise! My dh is also a go with the flow kind of person, whereas I like to plan and track things etc.
We've had to wait a while because I wanted to go back to uni, and then I got onto my course, and then I needed to wait til I'd been working again long enough to get maternity pay/leave etc, so I'm so done with waiting now!

@Englishpetal89 it's quite annoying isn't it, but I guess we need them to even out obsessiveness out 😂 ahh I see, yeah I bet you're ready to give it a proper go now! We've had to wait a while also, because of courses and work etc... but now seems a good time to try as baby will arrive at a good time if all goes to plan!

I think that this forum is what stops my Dp from going round the bend! If I shared all of my thoughts with him he would lose the plot - definitely also a go with the flow person unlike all of us!!!
Little does he know that I've pre-planned a 4 day booster sesh of DTD 🤣 poor thing

I think my DP is going round the bend at the minute, all I ever talk about is babies 😂 we DTD quite a lot normally anyway but I've told him it's essential we do it as much as we can now🙈😂 sorry to hear you were feeling blue! 😟 sending good vibes your way!

I defo think its a guy thing theyr always more relaxed bout ttc or maybe they just hid it better..ne fots on gd vits for OH i know zinc is gd for swimmers

@thisisouryrfx18 yeah it's Defo a male thing I think, he's excited just relaxed! I've read up on male vitamins but not sure if it's worth trying or not. If I bring them home to DP he'll take them but he'll just laugh at me😂🙈

My cycle is all over the place I'm literally just checking if I am being hopeful- even worse!😂🙈 I stopped my pill a few weeks ago but before I stopped I was quite bad taking my pill anyway so there is a chance I could be pregnant I suppose😂 patiently waiting for my body to even itself out... we are definitely crazy!!

GoldilocksTheGraceless so spot on with how I use this to stop my OH going crazy with me too haha! Sorry to hear you were a bit blue but glad you have perked up too. Ah well I am sure he will enjoy that booster sess anyway ey?

susso my OH takes Zinc and Vit D to ensure him and his swimmers are in tip top shape! he actualy was really on board with it too. We leave his and mine (Vit B, D & Folic) out on the dining table ready to take with dinner every day haha.
And don't waste money by POAS yet you aren't even sure you've ovulated haha! Love it though because I cant talk as I POAS throughout TWW haha!

Hopefulalways I stuck it in FF Lightbox Line Reader and it didn't show anything clear. But I am with susso that I thought I saw something which was why I done that! If you have another FRER, do it tomorrow morning 1st pee and report back!
