Thanks girls, chocolate eaten amd kind words appreciated!

My period occasionally only lasts a day and I still go on to have a 28 - 35 day cycle. It is usually a longer follicular stage and normal luteal phase for me but I guess everyone is different? Xx

TwittleBee · 27/03/2018 15:17

Hopefulalways ah I see! damn I was hoping I might be seeing that BFP a few days early this cycle! I just have that feeling this is the cycle for us. Because you know it is always sods law; I always said I would never have an xmas baby haha

Hopefulalways · 27/03/2018 16:27

Oh TwittleBee I really hope the law of sod gives you exactly what you didn't want 😂 it's not often I say that! Xx

thisisouryrfx18 dw I know the feeling, I'm on too many threads so get confused haha. Cycle #8 now. I'm feeling positive this month though! You're allowed to have a bit of a pity party though, it's tough all this TTC stuff

susso · 27/03/2018 22:11

Hope it's okay for me to join🙈 I'm currently TTC baby number one 👶🏼!! So excited. I stopped cerazette about 2 weeks ago, and have been taking folic acid for a while. I'm using ovulation sticks but they don't seem to be any help, is anyone finding this too? Maybe I'm just not ovulating yet. I do every test possible more times than I probably should per day😂 My partner says I'm inpatient but I think I'm just keen 🙈😂 would love to chat to others in the same situation!

Rach0110 · 27/03/2018 23:03

@susso have you tried a digital one? I got a faint one on the cheapies but when I used a clearblue digital one that gave me the smiley face! Some people have said doing more than once a day helps to catch the surge of LH

susso · 28/03/2018 00:06

@Rach0110 I've read a lot of things on here about them I was just unsure if they were any good or not? I think I'm going to give one a go though because the cheap ones seem to be quite inaccurate sometimes. Thanks for the adviceSmile

Welcome@susso and all the other newbies! X👶💗💖

susso hi there! Welcome. If you've only just come off the PiL it is likely it will take you a while before your body is ready to ovulate again. I wouldn't waste money doing OPKs until a first period personally. And even then expect your body to potentially be a little off. Do you know what your cycle was like before you went on the PiL? As that could help you know roughly when is best for you to start using OPKs.
Roughly speaking, if your cycle was 28 days long then you can expect to ovulate on day 14 (and so test a couple days before in case it's early).
Hope that helps you? Good luck though! Hopefully your body gets back to normal straight away and you get lucky with a baby straight away too xx

susso · 28/03/2018 07:23

Thanks @thisisouryrfx18 and @TwittleBee 😊
@TwittleBee yeah that's great advice thanks so much! I was kinda just trying the ovulation sticks out of curiosity, I think I'll hold off on them for a while! Before the pill; my cycle was probably about 28 days 😊 I feel as if the pill played with my body a lot so I have a sinking feeling it's going to take a lot longer than expected!!

TwittleBee · 28/03/2018 08:04

susso don't be too disheartened. You do hear about how peoole come off the pill and get lucky straight away (e.g. my sister, lucky thing).

susso · 28/03/2018 08:39

@TwittleBee yeah I'll try! I'm just going to Carry in doing what I'm doing and hope for the best! It'll all be worth it in the end! As far as pregnancy tests go, would you just use cheap internet ones or is there any others that are more reliable? Thanks!

TwittleBee · 28/03/2018 08:44

susso I have never bothered with the cheap Internet ones! I treat myself to a FRER but try and wait until 10dpo before testing. I do also buy myself some basic supermarket own brand ones or the Freedom basic ones as well to test if AF is late. I spend a small fortune each cycle though:

£13.99 on Clear Blue OPK kits
£10.99 on FRER
£1.00 on supermarket / Freedom basic test strips
(£5.00 on chocolate /treats because I always get BFN)

susso · 28/03/2018 09:52

@TwittleBee I've always used cheap ones in the past but I think just buying one expensive test will stop me from becoming obsessive over testing! The chocolate is Defo a must!! X

Hopefulalways · 28/03/2018 10:07

Hi Susso, I've never had a positive ov stick but bloods and that camera dye test thing said all is ok, has anyone else ever had this?

Ok ladies, nutty alert! Talk me down! As we all know I've been unwell with uti and on antibiotics so I think I should be out this month.

However, crazy ttc lady head is telling me the fact i just threw up is clearly my bidies way of say yaaaay your pregnant and not that the meds are making me barf!

😁😁😁😁

TwittleBee · 28/03/2018 11:33

Hopefulalways oh bless you! You aren't crazy (well not alone in being crazy, we have all been there). But as people were telling me last cycle (when I was convinced I was pregnant at 6dpo! LOL) if you have symptoms you should be showing positive on at least a FRER

susso Haha just try and force yourself to only test past 20dpo as that is when it is likely implantation is have occurred and you cant get a positive before that anyway! (not that I can talk anyway!)

Hopefulalways · 28/03/2018 11:44

I'm going insane aren't I @TwittleBee ! Currently squinting at a stick trying to convince myself it will do no hood to pee again in an hour 😁

Oh @susso! What a drawn out time for you, lots of distractions needed for you xxx

TwittleBee · 28/03/2018 11:48

Hopefulalways hold out till tomorrow morning at least lady!

Hopefulalways · 28/03/2018 11:55

Hehehehehe agreed xxx

susso · 28/03/2018 11:56

@TwittleBee
yeah I'm gonna force myself to do that! So so hard though!! Xx

@Hopefulalways
Yeah I think that's what I need, I can feel myself obsessing over it, it's all I think about! I think my partner is getting a little fed up now talking about babies 👶🏼 although he's just as excited as I am which is great! I'm going to distract myself from it and force myself to put off testing for a while! I think I might be also going slightly crazy😂xx

susso · 28/03/2018 12:02

I've started with cramps similar to period pain cramps since this morning, I'm thinking this may be my period coming although it's a bit more painful... I'm guessing my cycle is alllll over the place 😫

thisisouryrfx18 · 28/03/2018 12:18
