Anyone else about to begin their FW or coming up to it soon?

My FW starts from tomorrow, I will be CD10, cycle 3 and will be DTD as much as poss (Taking into account our house is fecking cold and all I want to do is put my onesie and fluffy socks on and watch Marcella on catch up).

Haven't been temping this month but will do my first OPK tonight... I haven't been doing them since my period finished but hoping I will catch my LH surge anyway. Has everyone been doing their OPK's since the last day of their period?

How does everyone feel about having a November baby?

We ve just been dtd as much as possible came to the conclusion that ovulation is just soo hard to predict..ive had ewcm for about a wk now but af not due for another fortnight. Ovulation calculators said i could ovulate anywhere between 3wks before or 2wks before af i dnt know anymore lol is it bad too have a 3wk luteal phase?Confused

Dr google says it’s better to have a long luteal phase than a short one :)

@peaches I think it's quite easy to miss your surge! I got a nearly positive on Monday lunch time, very faint line a few hours later and just dtd that night.

I think you have it right @fingers, trying to figure out O is harder than I thought, next month I'm going to chill (HA!) and just dtd every other day (fx there is no next month).

@Karigan1 😂😂 DR Google is basically my best friend right now, I often finding myself turning to it in the small hours of the morning

I'm having quite a lot of cramping and lower back pains, enough to take pain killers and make me think I had a UTI as they just feel different to period cramps. Managed to catch a last minute dr appt tonight and Doc tested. No UTI just a virus but so wanted the pains to be preggo related 😩 ridiculous I know, literally DTD last on Monday and it's only bloody Thursday 🙄 I'm going to eat my body weight in Chinese takeaway

Lol yeah I was surfing dr google earlier. I have surprisingly sore boobs at 8dpo! But that is peak progesterone time so internet says it’s normal.

according to my apps i'm in the fertile window but don't normally ovulate till cd18 but had a line on my opk which normally i don't get till later i'm cd 12 and dtd regularly

@Karigan I'm 4DPO now and I could swear my boobs are bigger!

@this that sucks!!! I have to say thought it's not helped me feel any better, feel totally pants today. Pulled a sicky and staying inside. Far too bloody cold.

@winter does that mean that you'll be able to test sooner as you're going to ovulate sooner? I find it so annoying that you can't update cycle tracking apps with positive OPK's, you can just do it with BBT and Im not tracking that yet.

I use the glow app because you CAN update it with positive opks. It’s why I chose that one

FW starting today so prob a bit late to join thread but popped in to give another endorsement to Glow - do have regular cycles but been using three months without temping or OPK's and it's still been bang on each time, even predicted AF arrival to the day post-mc. the "community" is cringe though

Rosie just be patient with it as it learns from data you input. First cycle it’ll guess you’re ‘standard’ but will update when you put in positive opks etc.

@karigan and @pass thank you! have downloaded it and put in all 3 years of my period data and my positive OPK this month. Loving the 'chance of getting pregnant' in percentage, looks like I have good odds this month. Think I gave the community bit about 10 seconds before I decided it wasn't for me and that I'd stick to Mumsnet....

@pass when did you get your OPK?

Isn't it weird that if we all got our BFP this month our babies would be born around the same time and could even be on the same day, but in the two week wait being a few days behind someone makes you feel like you'd be due your babies ages apart? I don't even know if that makes sense No you were up till 4am googling early pregnancy symptoms constantly even though you know them all by heart

@rosie I use Ovia which you can put positive OPKs in as well. Might give download Glow as well though, I like the idea of a percentage chance of a BFP!

Definitely got a negative OPK this morning, so I think FW is over...now starts the two week wait! Glad I did use OPKs this month because if I did ovulate, it was a good two or three days after my apps predicted so I probably wouldn't have DTD.

um boobs. I kinda thought that they should be most sore 7 dpo then ease of as progesterone falls.

@rosieposies late night googling is one of my favourite habits too Grin and I know what you mean about the due dates thing - it's a strange thought! I think after days of faint opk lines and then nothing I'm thinking I might have missed my surge - declaring myself on 2ww! (Though will obviously test opks still as what else does a cycle obsessive like myself do?!)

@peaches its brill, I was using Flo and Fertility Friend, you couldn't input OPK results into Flo and I feel like I need a degree in theoretical physics to understand how FF works. My highest percentage is 33%, let me know what yours is if you download! I defo find that apps have me ovulating a day early, it's weird.

@kaytees I keep thinking 'bugger this OPK lark next month' but who I am i kidding, I know I'll be doing it anyway. I'll probably even take my pee cup to work with me.

@karigan My boobs hurt the most just before AF rears her ugly head I find. Do you usually find them painful at 8DPO??? Sounds promising

@rosies mine is 33% too - I wonder if that's the typical peak or if they change it for other factors like age? I had flo too but I just delete it - I think it was more of a period tracking app tbh, there wasn't anything very useful for TTC and it was way out on FW predictions!

They change it for age. My highest is 18.7%. :(
