Hi @cariad we’re having a lovely weekend here. Hope you’re enjoying some family time.

Af is due Monday or Tuesday based on CM and ovulation pains. Currently having cramps but that’s the only symptom. I’m exhausted but I think that’s more due to the transatlantic flight than any pregnancy related. Will be testing Monday as I’ve got a smear booked for Tuesday so need to know. Although if af arrives before then I’ll have to rearrange.

RhiBee29 · 10/02/2018 16:04

@Cariad2017 I'm planning to test on weds too, 11dpo for me. Stupidly thinking February is my month as DS was conceived around Valentine's Day 2014.

MynameisJune · 11/02/2018 07:06

Don’t even think I’ll bother testing, heart rate has dropped and body temp has risen. Restless nights sleep always indicates af is on the way for me.

winterwarmers · 11/02/2018 07:30

Isn't body temp increase a good sign?

MynameisJune · 11/02/2018 07:49

@winterwarmer not for me it isn’t! Pre-af I’m always too hot to sleep and don’t sleep well.

Cariad2017 · 11/02/2018 09:00

I really hope AF stays away Mynameis. She can be such a cruel mistress.

I really hope this is your month RhiBee. Xxx

Bambamber · 11/02/2018 09:52

So I caved at 10dpo, and oh look what a surprise, a bfn. I even took apart the casing as obviously the casing was obscuring my invisible line Hmm but I managed to find the indent line which most definitely did not have any hint of colour to it so I'm not left with any doubt. So now I'm left in the limbo of, oh maybe it was just too early to test.

Well I've managed not to get too upset thankfully, probably because I know that it's a bit silly to test so early. Still that little pang of disappointment though as I had visions of tying a bow round a positive pee stick and putting it in a little box and gift bag and watching my husband's eyes light up when he opened it. I obviously have far too much time on my hands Grin

SecondGo · 11/02/2018 10:00

Bambamber that is the worst part of waiting - the self inflicted torture!

My husband came home last night not in the mood. We have missed it this month already and I only had af last week.

I think I need to talk to him about not trying, or putting a time limit on it. I don't think I can take the disappointment for years and it is going to take us a long time at this . Or we both need to take holiday t the right time of the month so we can try properly.

CatRen27 · 11/02/2018 10:26

Thanks @cariad. We'll see!

@Mynameisjune sorry its looking doubtful, as they say its not over till the fat lady comes and shits on your dreams (that's it isn't it?) So fingers remain crossed for you!

A bfn today for me at 11dpo but ill keep on testing until af arrives as I've got some ics now. I'm hopeful as I've got really creamy abundant cm which is really unusual at this point for me. Possibly my cycle sorting itself out still though so who knows

CatRen27 · 11/02/2018 10:29

@lopey sorry to hear things aren't going so well. I certainly said i wished i had have gotten more help sooner so would recommend doing all you can even if private - particularly if you're worried about age. Sending hugs your way

MynameisJune · 11/02/2018 17:13

@cariad and @catren thank you, I’m okay with it. Kind of used to it now! I’m fully expecting her tomorrow bang on time.

@cat sorry for the bfn but 11dpo is still very early!

MynameisJune · 12/02/2018 17:35

Af has arrived, onto the next cycle for me!

Cariad2017 · 12/02/2018 19:58

Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear this Mynameis, although I’m fairly certain I’ll be right behind you come Friday.

It feels like this Winter has gone on forever, so I shall be keeping everything crossed that Spring brings with it a flurry of BFPs. Xxx

RhiBee29 · 12/02/2018 21:13

Sorry af arrived@MynameisJune

@Cariad2017 do you think the Easter Bunny has any sway with the stalk? I'll swap all my Easter eggs for a bfp and a sticky bean!

Cariad2017 · 12/02/2018 21:45

Rhi - I got my BFP with DS on Easter Sunday, so you never know...

10 DPO at this end and the monthly hormone crash has hit, so I know I’m out... Feeling tearful and as though it’s never going to happen, no matter how hard we try... Currently drowning my sorrows with a glass of bubbles... Onwards and upwards to Cycle 18, which is due to end just in time for me to turn 36 (oh joy!)

MynameisJune · 12/02/2018 21:46

Thanks both, I was getting all the pre af symptoms so wasn’t totally unexpected.

CatRen27 · 13/02/2018 03:43

I think ill be joining you mynameis as I've got the hormonal crash as well, and at 13dpo my tests are coming back white as white so on to the next cycle..

Sorry you're feeling rubbish cariad i totally empathise.

I was told by a friend (who got 'surprise' preggers with no 2 and it was earlier than they'd planned) that i should stop "trying" and it will just happen.. took all of my willpower not to shout at her.. i am seriously not this angry and depressed irl.. i hope not anyway!!

Cariad2017 · 13/02/2018 11:27

BFN at 11dpo at this end so I know I’m out. We’ve decided to make an appointment with a Consultant Urologist to talk through what might be causing DH’s poor SA, not least as if we are going to end up spending a fortune on IVF we’d rather give ourselves the best possible chance.

CatRen - Sorry to hear about you’re friend’s lack of sensitivity - those who’ve never been through this seem to find it very hard to identify IMO. It certainly doesn’t help...

Cariad2017 · 13/02/2018 12:44

Your not You’re

BrownEyedGirlv2point0 · 13/02/2018 18:37

Hi All!

I'm 36
TTC#2
Cycles: 4
DD: 14months
AF Due: 22 Feb

I believe I ovulated 6 Feb possibly 7 Feb but DTD on the 3rd, 4th and 8th. What's the likelihood of getting pregnant DTD two to three days before ovulation at my age? For a while I felt like I could be with my uterus feeling heavy. Kind of hard to describe but perhaps it's just psychosomatic and wishful thinking.

CatRen27 · 15/02/2018 10:30

Hi and welcome browneyedgirl - no idea on the probability based on age but imagine that dtd 2-3 days should give you a fighting chance? Fingers crossed for you!

I've gone turbo ttc and bought a thermometer for temping. I think I'm pushing my obsessive tendencies to the limit but it suddenly occurred to me that i might be getting my ov date wrong as i have a long pre-ov phase (17 days) then short luteal (12 days) and temping should help. Or turn me loopy.. loopier i mean

MynameisJune · 15/02/2018 10:50

@cat I’m contemplating buy an Ava bracelet as im useless at temping due to DD. It’s £200 but figured if it worked it was worth it 🙈

BrownEyedGirlv2point0 · 15/02/2018 13:24

@cat @myname I am tempted to get the Ava bracelet as well if I end up with AF this month. I'm hoping that if I do get pregnant I'd be able to share it with friends. I haven't read too much about it so I'm hoping it's something I can share with others while I don't have a use for it.

LopeyLopez · 15/02/2018 20:31

Hi Browneyedgirl!

Cat, I also have 16-17 day first half of cycle and 12 day luteal phase, so exactly the same as you. I've been temping for what feels like forever and it is useful in knowing what's going on. I always get pretty clear signals from opk/cm/ov pain anyway but as a control freak/mad woman having even more info is always useful....!

Your temp chart can tell you loads of other things to do with your cycle too....just look it up online. Obviously it does depend on you getting a reasonable night's sleep and taking temp at the same day....so not so great if you are up several times in the night with a LO. My DS only recently started sleeping through (at nearly two and a half!!), and even now doesn't always, but my charts look so much better as a result! The wonders of sleep! Good luck with it.

Cariad, have you had af yet?? Must be due around now...,? Fingers crossed she's a no show xxx

Browneyedgirl myname I've not heard of the ava bracelet, not sure i can justify the costs but if we're considering ivf (which we have to pay for here in Australia) i guess it's not a lot in comparison!

lopey funny we have such similar cycles and control freakery have you ever been told that the short luteal phase is an issue? I haven't, but was just wondering from your experience. My obgyn wasn't concerned but she seemed pretty laid back (ha) about most things so who knows. And i know your pain, my dd has just started sleeping through, she had a few months a year ago when she'd sleep through but recently its been 1-2 times a night.. my dh has night terrors so they're both sleep saboteurs, i was considering booking myself into a hotel to get a solid 8 hours without the pair of them messing with me!

Did you guys just use normal thermometers at one decimal place or should i have gone niche with a 2 decimal jobby?
