For all those hoping for a lovely Valentine's BFP, and a sibling for their LO!

Welcome back all those who've been on this thread before, and welcome Newbies. I've been on here a while (sigh) but here are my stats...

Age 37
DS is 2
TTC #2 properly since March 2017; ntnp since Sept 2015!
Cycle 12
BFP due 6th Feb

I think it is this thread where someone said early testing is like pissing on tenners. I'm saying that on repeat! After due tomorrow. I find myself wishing days away but then I feel guilty because I am with my son and obviously don't want to wish that time away.

I didn't do the stats properly.

And cycle not sure, trying since august but I have 26-28 day cycles so had a few extra goes.

Welcome back CatRen. It’s lovely to see that you’re feeling more positive. Currently 13dpo of Cycle 17... I either ov’d yesterday or will today (I totally messed up my opk on Wednesday, but yesterday’s was very positive and I had some mild ov type pains on my right hand side, so I’m a little confused!!!)

I would absolutely love to get upduffed this month for all manner of reasons, but we all know life doesn’t always deliver what you want when you want it (or indeed at all in some cases), so we’ll see....

Waves back at Lopey. It can’t be long until you find out whether this month is the one - I shall be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you, as I know how ace an October EDD would be for a teacher! ❤️

I think this is the right thread for me, though I only came off the pill on Sunday!
Unplanned really. I have been wanting another child for 6 years, but circumstances, and my husband, had to agree! I was beginning to think we would never get to this point, and I was struggling with that.

Age: 32
DD: 7 (but she is 8 very soon!)
So this is cycle one, and CD, who knows!

One Wednesday I had a sharp shot of pain in my lower abdomen, roughly where my ovary would be. Thursday was achey pain on that side, down into my hip (like I remember period pain being), and today there was a streak of blood in cm.
But surely it's too early for ovulation after coming off the mini-pill? Desogestrel, to be specific. Think I am probably being over anxious about getting back into a proper cycles. I have PCOS, and it took almost two years to conceive our daughter. I was on metformin at the time.

Anyway.
Here is hoping we all get a sticky BFP soon!

SecondGo, we’re BFP (hopefully!) then... I’m now due on 28th too after AF came two days early. Fingers crossed for both of us!

Currently 10 dpo but don't feel any different than usual so not hopeful. Really trying to expect af and not pregnancy to avoid the inevitable disappointment...

I won't test but will wait for af, as usual....in any case I will know soon enough; next three days!

Hopping on here! Mid way through moving so it's been chaos & I had a period that was an entire month & 1 week late so this is now day cycle day 8 for me. AF finished yesterday.

Cycle: 14
Age: 26
AF due: 24th feb.

I'm not temping or using ovulation sticks. It's kind of taking a bit of a back seat at the moment because we are crazy busy with the new house. However I just have this overwhelming feeling that this is our year. At least it better be because last year wasn't! 😂

So I’ve decided to take some time out and have quickly hopped back on the contraceptive pill. Not an easy decision. I haven’t been on the pill for so long. I just feel like I need two months time out to stop thinking about falling pregnant and then hopefully after two months be back in the game. I know it’s crazy to go on the pill when I can’t fall pregnant anyway at the mo but I just want to try and take control of the situation for a bit. Had I not of miscarried I would have been due next month 💔 I have also read that sometimes it can help fertility. Who knows! So I’m going to come off this group for a bit.

Peanut - Sorry you’re having such a tough time. I got beyond my first EDD before conceiving DS and it was very very tough - I was a complete mess. I definitely think having a break for a few months will do you the world of good. Here’s hoping that once recommended, the remainder of your ttc journey is short and sweet. Xxx

I seem to be developing a sore throat out of nowhere. Sad Just thankful I’m still on AF so feeling ill won’t interfere with baby making! May need a medicinal tot of something later. And perhaps leave DH with DD while I have a bath!

Sorry to hear you need to take a break @peanut and hope this gives you what you need - i can totally empathise with the feeling of not being in control.

I'm 5dpo today, with a bit more cm than usual but otherwise feeling decidedly normal. I'm on holiday in the Aussie sunshine so that's keeping me distracted this week. And I'm drinking wine as if I'm not upduffed so as not to jinx myself..

Think I'm out....big temp dip below the cover line this morning and af is due today....am usually right on cue (I suppose that's something).

This month I have had no spotting whatsoever which is good for me....surely suggests healthier hormones...? I had been having up to four days of spotting which with a luteal phase of 12 days anyway didn't feel great. I have massively improved my diet the last month to include lots more fruit, vegetables and seeds and maybe it's paying off...or possibly too soon to tell.

We have been referred to the fertility clinic but the waiting time is likely to be 10-12 months! 😞

Onto cycle 13....hopefully lucky for me! 🤞

Oh and all the best peanut; I completely understand about giving this a break for a couple of months. The highs and lows are really starting to pull on my heart strings.... too much hope and then disappointment to take. I wish you well, have a good rest and hope to see you back here for support in the future. Xxx

Sending enormous hugs your way Lopey. Boo to temperature drops (clings onto the desperate hope that AF stays away and that the temp drop is caused by implantation instead)...

I’ve been feeling pretty glum over the past few days (which is unusual considering I’m only 3dpo)... I think the reality of infertility is finally starting to hit home, as is the unfairness of it all...
