Ladies, the old thread has now closed so I created a new one but can't post the link, hopefully you'll find it and we can continue.

I had so much PMA to start with, I was convinced it would work quickly, but no. A year later here I am hoping for a miracle too.
Also just drank my herbs (got new one today, do they change them every 2 weeks? Latest one tastes vile)

Orchid222 · 06/03/2018 22:21

Cleo my herbs change weekly depending on where I am in my cycle but can't say any of them tasted particularly good:)

I was convinced I would be well and truly pregnant by now! I never imagined I'd still be waiting. I go from being full of hope and knowing it will happen to feeling complete despair and thinking that's it for me now. That's how I feel at the moment, don't have any hope at all.

Orchid222 · 06/03/2018 22:35

I also had lots of PMA at the beginning, I got pregnant so quickly with my son that I thought a few months max and I'd get pregnant this time around but that was not to be. Trying desperately to stay positive but it is hard.

I also stumbled upon this article while searching for the other one- sounds like we might all get a shot before menopause!

Evening everyone. Yep I’m here also hoping for what feels like a miracle.

Got my letter through today to book my HSG. What is the difference between a HyCoSy and HSG?? Anyone enlighten me. I have to phone when AF arrives but like you Keepingthefaith my cycle has been long and weird this month. I was convinced it was anovulatory until CD32 I got ovulation symptoms. Very very odd.

Interesting that someone mentioned DHEA. I’ve been reading an Emma Canon fertility book and she swears it’s great for fertility in us old folk. I understand that it’s similar to CoQ10 in that you make less of it as you age. She says you can take it in supplements form but that meditation has been proven to increase it significantly! So I’m off to do my Headspace app.... Goodnight ladies.

Alibaba2 · 07/03/2018 07:08

Thanks for the articles Orchid.

Mimosa - I really like that Emma Cannon book.

Orchid222 · 07/03/2018 07:47

Morning ladies which Emma cannon book did you read? There seem to be a few out there.

KeepingTheFaith9 · 07/03/2018 19:22

Evening ladies. Typed a nice big message on the train that got lost in cyberspace when I went through a tunnel 😬
Yes Orchid you are right - we must rally the PMA and I’ve been working hard to reinstate it today. Certainly all the reading suggestions are fab - so thanks. Will check them out.

KeepingTheFaith9 · 07/03/2018 19:25

I’m on CD 21 and no sign of anything significant so I’ve no idea what’s going on in there - if anything. Alibaba might GP said no to help of any sort and told me to go private, so that was that. I figure TCM is the cheapest option for me right now. IVF is out of the question for many long and complicated reasons. My trying to conceive is a bit contraversial tbh.
Home to more funky herbs for me this eve. This week they taste rank!!
Hope everyone has had a good day. X

littlemimosa · 07/03/2018 22:12

THe one I was reading recently was Total Fertility. But I’ve also read Fertile. Ha.

Orchid222 · 08/03/2018 07:35

Morning ladies. I see I have to catch up on my reading.
Hope everyone's feeling more positive today than the other night.
AF finally arrived for me on cd34, 4 days later than normal which is what I expected given the fact my opk went positive 4 days later than usual. So I guess it's positive that there's still some kind of consistency. Plus I can finally schedule my HyCoSy after waiting for a whole cycle! Hopefully the fertility clinic appt will follow shortly.

Morning orchid
No news here except I'm 5 DPO and I've been doing my temps this month and they're following a good pattern. Fingers crossed, again Grin

Alibaba2 · 08/03/2018 11:10

Orchid, is your HyCoSy on NHS? Did you have to get any tests done for it, like I did (although didn’t proceed with it).

Orchid222 · 08/03/2018 17:16

Yes Ali it's on NHS. Idont have to do any tests for it. Did you not do your HyCoSy at all then? I thought you had it all scheduled?
My only worry is that my appt isn't until my cd15 and I was told I'd have to skip trying this month (I need to take antibiotic on the day of the appt) but given the fact that my opks don't turn positive until cd17 maybe I can squeeze both in. I need to ask. I was thinking maybe I should do it privately if it means doing it faster and still dtd this cycle as I didn't want to loose another month but if they give me ok to dtd right after the appt I should be ok and save my momey for IUI or more TCM. Just don't know how long the antibiotic will take to leave the system.

OP posts:
Alibaba2 · 08/03/2018 17:44

Ah I see. I think my guy does the swabs to Check for infection to avoid antibiotics. I’m sure antibiotics don’t affect fertility though.

Have they scheduled on cd15 due to availability? I was told I couldn’t dtd before HyCoSy. Which I guess is what they’ve told you? But you can dtd after.

Hopefully you can fit both in and have it done on nhs!

Orchid222 · 08/03/2018 19:02

Yes that was the 1st available appt they had. And yes they told me not to dtd but I didn't do my calculations quickly enough to ask if I can do it straight after while on the phone. I do hope I can fit both in that'd be great.
Interestingly, they do it up to cd25 unlike your consultant who said it must be done before ov if I remember correctly?

OP posts:
Alibaba2 · 08/03/2018 19:47

I think he does it any time after AF but I wanted him to have a look at eggs during the scan. And to be able to dtd that cycle.

Alibaba2 · 08/03/2018 22:06

Do any of your find your boobs change during your cycle? I’m a bit obsessed with this subject. Mine use to be get really swollen after ov but since my last pregnancy 2 years ago, they don’t. They seem smaller than ever now.

Karigan1 · 09/03/2018 13:35

Well gp doesn’t seem worried about ovulating early so long as the cycle is over 21 days 🤷‍♀️

JoJoyorker · 09/03/2018 14:03

Ali when I was younger I always used to get really sore heavy boobs before AF. I haven't had this problem for years although they did when I was pregnant. It does concern me as to why they never change now and that I don't have enough hormones!

Cleozeta · 09/03/2018 15:10

I used to get sore boobs before af, now they are sore between ov and before af. They stop hurting at the time it would have started before. No idea why! Crap hormones now I guess

Alibaba2 · 09/03/2018 16:34

Interesting Karigan. I will go for a scan one day to see how big the eggs are at ov and whether they are mature enough (if they can tell this)!
