78th day of no period....

As the title suggests, I haven't had a period since the 18th October. I came off cerazette at the start of June and have had irregular cycles since but this is by far the longest.

DH and I are TTC and I last took a pregnancy test at the start of December so I'm fairly confident I'm not pregnant (we were both sick after that and didn't have any inclination to DTD).

We finally DTD on 26th and 27th December and yesterday I had really sore breasts and some cramps and EWCM in the morning for the first time in a long time, but we only managed to DTD late last night. Im mildly cramping this morning and have watery CM. These long cycles are so confusing! Is there a chance we might've caught ovulation this month? How long should I wait before testing?

So AF paid me a visit this morning! I'm not even disappointed this time, I'm just relieved my body seems to be working again.

On to another month! I'm going to start taking Agnus Castus and see what happens.

That was an 89 day cycle for me. Wow Blush

Should I keep my doctors appointment anyway or cancel? It's not till 2nd Feb.

@Karigan1 - snap! I had to YouTube how to check as I hadn't a clue what I was rummaging around in there for! Grin

@Spadesofglory Were you originally going due to ovulation or something else? If it was ovulation only I wouldn't worry about it as now your ovaries have waved a white flag and gone "Don't worry, we're still here!" Grin

Next week will be 62 days since I stopped taking the pill. Something must happen soon.....

Half beginning to wonde if premature menopause hit me whilst being hidden by taking the pills. Please tell me other people are getting the same delay!

LifeOfRiley63 · 15/01/2018 15:57

@Karigan1 Are you taking any supplements? Maybe try some, you never know. It's certainly what I'm pinning my hopes on atm! I'm taking the whole cocktail (I even bought a PILL BOX at the weekend!!). Agnus Castus, Soya Isoflavones and Evening Primose & Starflower Oil!
I've started checking my cervix and its very high and like puckered lips (I don't know if that classes as open) but I'm hoping thats a good thing!

hungryradish · 15/01/2018 16:47

Oh gosh I'm going to have to google/YouTube how to check you cervix too I reckon - not something I thought I'd ever be googling & not something I've ever thought about before but there you go!

Karigan1 · 16/01/2018 10:48

Far as I can tell it’s not too difficult. When menstruating or prior to ovulation it’s firm and like touching your nose and when ovulating and fertile it goes soft. Most sites make a big deal out of washing your hands well before doing it.

Karigan1 · 16/01/2018 10:49

Yes taking supplements but a pregnacare conception, q10 and magnesium as it promotes progesterone.

Booked a Drs appt. let’s see if they can help

gossipgirl28 · 16/01/2018 11:03

I'm 28 and TTC #1. Stopped cerelle mini pill 6 weeks and nothing since. Had no periods whilst on it. Tested last week and got BFN!

Seeing my doctor today for another reason but I'm going to mention it today

LifeOfRiley63 · 16/01/2018 11:05

Hi @gossipgirl28
Welcome to the Cerelle Club!
If you read through this thread you'll see our journeys since coming off the pill. Hope you don't have to wait as long as us Smile x

gossipgirl28 · 16/01/2018 11:35

Has anyone been prescribed medication to assist with regulating ovulation?

I'm just worried it's going to take a while to ovulate regularly and then start the journey to TTC

Karigan1 · 16/01/2018 11:59

Ohhh think my body heard that I’d booked an appointment. Might have an af here although it’s just a spot so far! So that makes basically what would have been two cycles since coming off the pill. Least it means I’m probably ovulating again and can crack on with trying to make a baby :)

LifeOfRiley63 · 16/01/2018 12:02

@Karigan1 You never know, it could be implantation bleed... Hmm #justsayin

Karigan1 · 16/01/2018 14:49

Well that would be lovely but frankly I’m just so happy to see something happening lol. Beginning to wonder if I had a premature menopause whilst it was hidden by the pill!!!

LifeOfRiley63 · 16/01/2018 15:21

@Karigan1 How old are you if you don't mind me asking?x

gossipgirl28 · 16/01/2018 15:52

The doctor said to me today that over exercising can interfere with your periods. I said I hadn't had a period yet since stopping early Dec 2017.
I gym 3-4 times a week before work and do long distance running 4-5 times a week 6 to 9 miles. I'm a healthy weight and don't diet but I might cut back on the exercise and see if this impacts on my periods. Will be difficult as exercise helps me to de-stress!

Karigan1 · 16/01/2018 16:08

40 and a bit :)

Karigan1 · 16/01/2018 16:08

Too young for the menopause lol

LifeOfRiley63 · 16/01/2018 16:13

@Karigan1 Still a spring chicken Wink x
@GossipGirl28 Did they tell you to do less exercise as to what you're currently doing? Perhaps look at alternative exercise that isn't as cardi-based like yoga or pilates as they are good stress-busters! x

gossipgirl28 · 16/01/2018 16:16

Yeah he said to cut back on the cardio and see what happens. My new year resolution was to take up yoga so I need to get a move on

hungryradish · 16/01/2018 17:43

Over-exercise definitely can interfere with periods. I think because it can be a lot of stress on the body & also may mean body fat % is quite low - both of which will cause periods to stop or become irregular. I didn't have a period for a year back when I used to exercise a lot... But it came back as soon as I calmed down & put on some weight! Even though I was very adament at the time that that couldn't be the reason, lol.

I've never had regular periods though & don't know why that would be.

LifeOfRiley63 · 17/01/2018 16:40

Any updates or excitement my lovelies?
On CD89 now. Hoping I have @SpadesOfGlory's luck and get AF or ANYTHING soon!!

CoconutGal · 17/01/2018 17:19

Day 17 of no period. This was today's test. Still getting pink spotting on & off for the last week or so. How's everyone else getting on?

78th day of no period....
LifeOfRiley63 · 17/01/2018 17:55

@CoconutGal What do you make of the test? X

CoconutGal · 17/01/2018 18:01

I think it's another negative to be honest @LifeOfRiley63. I can't help but get my hopes up though & think maybe it's a faint one.
