78th day of no period....

As the title suggests, I haven't had a period since the 18th October. I came off cerazette at the start of June and have had irregular cycles since but this is by far the longest.

DH and I are TTC and I last took a pregnancy test at the start of December so I'm fairly confident I'm not pregnant (we were both sick after that and didn't have any inclination to DTD).

We finally DTD on 26th and 27th December and yesterday I had really sore breasts and some cramps and EWCM in the morning for the first time in a long time, but we only managed to DTD late last night. Im mildly cramping this morning and have watery CM. These long cycles are so confusing! Is there a chance we might've caught ovulation this month? How long should I wait before testing?

Never mind. After nothing all day I've just started with red blood so I reckon AF has finally shown up Sad

I can see a second line @SpadesOfGlory but don't trust it, I got the same only darker pink ones but I'm not pregnant

Ah spades, I think I can see a really faint line! But give it a day or 2 and see if it is AF, tho even if so I would still test maybe in a few days time just incase x

Yeah I'm trying to just keep telling myself I haven't really had normal cycles yet so I haven't really had a chance to "try" properly. If this is AF and I count day 1 from Saturday then I had a 35 day cycle...so just about a normal length again.

Welll that’s still a step forward and better than my crappy 25 day cycle with stupid opk peak on day 9. Think positive lady ;)

Spades if yesterday was first AF then a 35 day cycle isn't too bad considering, its a massive difference from your last one! It can only get better Smile It can take up to a year for cycles to start regulating again after the pill.

Yeah that's what I'm trying to focus on now, hopefully this is me starting to regulate! I'm going to treat this as a really weird period I think, based on opks and the days we DTD I would definitely test positive by now if I was pregnant. Weirdly though the bleeding still hasn't got heavier, I thought it had last night but this morning it was back to nothing lol

It could be you had a failed ovulation even and had a second surge later on. Keep monitoring. If the bleeding doesn’t get going properly and particularly if it stops test again in a week.

Would it be Ovulation spotting? Im with Karigan, if the bleeding doesn't start then I would also do another test! Very frustrating the whole thing. A girl I work with had been on Cerazette and she came off it just over a year ago, her AF returned in 28 days and she was regular however she said only recently she has started ovulating again. Does crap things to our bodies Sad

Hmm I've never had ovulation spotting before but id be surprised if it went on this long. Today is the 5th day of it! Apart from mild cramps I haven't any of my normal AF symptoms so I dunno

No a positive opk only means your body is gearing up for o. It’s just the LH surge. Probability is that O will then occur between 12 to 72 hrs later but not necessarily.

People on fertility sites say the only way to know for sure is watching for the temperature changes by temping daily or a blood test at the Drs.

@Karigan1 thanks! I just looked back at my temp chart and mine spiked on cd15, Same day as a positive OPK.

I think my cycle is messed up a bit too. No idea what my random days of spotting were. I'm due Af tomorrow so il see. Definitely having a few cramps going on today on my right hand side

I’m really hoping mine was at least one day after lol. Give that egg one extra day to cook. Cd 10 May only be a little better than Cd 9 but it’s still better!

I purchased a thermometer but just couldn’t keep it up. May get a Tempdrop if I’m still ttc in a few months as it does it for you

No spotting today yet at all! I've recorded is as a light period on Ovia just in case but I'm gonna stop testing cause it's just getting me down. Have a load of ovulation tests so will probably start using them in about a week and see what they show up

You never know Spades. Leave it at least 5 days to test again. Then try both tests. Monitor for ewcm in the meantime.

All this talk of spotting something just occurred to me. My CD1 was 11.2.18 but I had spotting on the 10/11th. Do you think it’s possible the egg started getting ripe from spotting stage which would give it a few more days maturity? Or is that grasping at straws lol
