10dpo BFN - am I out?

So I promised myself that I would follow the advice of fellow Mumsnetters and not test too early....last all week but then couldn’t resist.

AF is due between 1st and 7th January. It will be the 1st if following trend on last cycle! Opk showed positive on 19th December so according to instructions ovulation should have taken place within 12-36 hours?

Hence this is why I think I’m 10dpo but BFN with a FRER this morning.

Do you think that I have just tested too early or that I’m unlikely to get a BFP this month?

Thanks for advice - still pretty new to ttc!

I’m sorry to hear that. I hope that you are ok and getting the support that you need.

Hopefully you can now focus on your job interview. Wishing you all the success in the world.

A fresh start to a new year will hopefully do you the world of good xx

Ill be okay i dont get any help and support but thats the mental health service for you lol! I know im panicking about it only being 3 days away now! Yeah having the implant put in tomorrow then can hopefully focus on the interview. You tempted to test yet? 😝

Hopefully we both get a bit of luck on the 4th lol xxx

bubblybrit · 01/01/2018 20:35

That’s awful that the right type of help and support is not readily available for those that need it. Hopefully your oh and family are there for you.

I think I would have tested by now had I any tests in the house! Lol Smile perhaps for the best that I ran out. Almost scared to test as at the moment there is still hope. If I get a BFN then it’s on to the next cycle which would be quite disappointing Sad

Yes think the interview has come at the right time - gives you something to focus on! I’ll keep my fx for you x

Hun how was your test?! 🤞🤞

bubblybrit · 04/01/2018 23:02

This was the test I took this afternoon....I can see a v v v faint line. Mixed reviews on other threads. What do you think? I’m going to text again tomorrow with fmu to see if the line gets any darker...how was your interview? X

I think I can see something, @bubblybrit

bubblybrit · 04/01/2018 23:08

It’s a total squinter @teaandtoast85. I’m approx 15DPO so would have thought the line would have been darker if positive. However I tested in the afternoon (so not fmu clearly) and AF not due until Sunday!

bubblybrit · 04/01/2018 23:46

I’m really sorry to hear that @ameliaxx. I hope that things improve for you soon and that your mental health gets back on track xx

Hows things going hun? Xx

bubblybrit · 12/01/2018 19:17

Hey. I’ve been pretty relaxed this cycle tbh. Got so much on in January that I’ve not been able to think about ttc properly...maybe a good thing?

How’s you? X

Ameliaxx · 12/01/2018 20:32

Yeah thata definately a good thing stops you driving yourself mad about it lol! Im okay back at work on phased return just office based but completely and utterly bored bu only for three more weeks hopefully. I never got my implant done the lady wasnt in the week of my AF and my AF only lasts like 3 days n they only put you one in if youre on. Not really trying or anythin this month though and not temping for the first time in months it was getting obsessive but ive used an opk the last couple days to use them all up and im ovulating again my cycles go so quickly lol xxx

bubblybrit · 12/01/2018 20:42

Yeah I don’t think last cycle was very healthy for me. Was way too obsessed so the pressure was off the chart!

Hopefully the phased return is keeping you occupied if nothing else. Plus it’s only for a few weeks!

Will you still get your implant when af next arrives?

OP posts:
Ameliaxo · 12/01/2018 20:52

Yeah stress never helps from what ive read the last 4 cycles lol 🙈
Yeah its getting me doin something at leas and hopefully a new role at the end of it and a possibility of starting my masters in september
Yeah i will do af is due the 26th as ive ovulated earlier this month i have such short cycles lol so im going in for it the 26th think its for the best really this ttc business was making my bipolar worse with the emotions n all the upping and downing for four months was a nightmare lol! Xxxx

bubblybrit · 12/01/2018 21:02

Yeah it is stressful enough for me so can only imagine how much it must have affected you. Hope you are doing a little better now that the pressure is off.

The good thing is that you have choices career/study wise x

OP posts:
Ameliaxo · 12/01/2018 21:04

Yeah especially when i got put on a drug for over two years that can make you infertile (i was never told about this side effect) so guess that drug has worked its magic 😩 so yeah got to fall back on the career side of things now this hasnt worked out bit gutted to know i cant have kids especially at my age and how much we wanted them but just one of those things i guess xxx

bubblybrit · 12/01/2018 21:09

I wouldn’t give up hope for the future. You were trying for 4 months (when it can take up to 12) and the drug only may make you infertile. So there is still a good chance that it could happen if you decide to try again at a later date.

OP posts:
Ameliaxo · 12/01/2018 21:24

I think if nothing was wrong with me then i would yeah but with this and then being told theres no chance because of the medication i was on i dont want to put myself through it tbh its just prolonging the heartache each month whereas this month that im not tracking or trying ive been quite well, so i think its given me the answer that when im not trying im mentally well xxx

bubblybrit · 12/01/2018 21:35

I see. I’m probably looking at it quite naively as I don’t have much experience of bipolar. The most important thing is that you take care of yourself. At least career/studies will give you something to focus on for now. I’m sorry that ttc hasn’t worked out for you. Would you consider adoption at all?
