Part the third:

Welcome all anti-fertile fuckers! This is our clique for those trying longer than 6 cycles and are pretty fed up.

Here are our Fucked Off TTC Commandments

  • Thou shall not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shall not give advice to other when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shall not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shall not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shall not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

Our spreadsheet which includes what supplements (and potatoes) we are trying in our journey to motherhood.

Yay bubblegum so pleased for you - let us known how you get on, hope you get some answers xx

mama think you're doing fine with folic acid. The GP might be able to give advice on extras like vit D? The rest...I just reckon it's whatever gives you peace of mind. Some people like opks (I do some months, not others) others find them annoying. Am waiting for a bit more advice from GP or consultant as can't tell anything obvious to address (maybe a longer LP? More CM? Fuck knows). Trying to avoid getting sucked into more - feel like that way madness and yams lie. GP appointment for referral is tonorrow - bleurgh.

DoAsDreamersDo · 07/12/2017 10:18

Ooh that's great news Bubble fingers crossed you start to get some answers!

SpongeCake23 · 07/12/2017 10:35

Don't know what's up with my body.

Pains in lower left - pelvis, back and abdomen. Extremely painful, heavy and sore boobs. Stabbing pains up both 'ends'. Dragging pains inside too. I'm due on any day and it's been like this for the past 4 days at least! What's going on?!

SpongeCake23 · 07/12/2017 10:36

Oh and lots of horrific bloating.
I'm on day 27 of my cycle btw.

micropig · 07/12/2017 10:59

Actually lay in bed for a good hour more than usual to put off going to the loo and seeing the inevitable, but AF hasn't shown up yet, although there was a streak of blood when I wiped yesterday. My RHR is crashing though so she is definitely on her way.

In a horrendously bad mood today. Unfortunately had to rush into work earlier than usual as there was an issue with the keys, so I am covering up a bad hair day with a santa hat which looks ridiculous with my resting scowl haha. Hopefully DH will be back soon so I can be antisocial and work in the back office today.

This was our last chance this year, my next expected FW is at the end of this month and i'll be away from DH, so won't even have a chance for a Jan BFP. Now trying to mentally prepare myself for the family BFPs I am likely to be told about over xmas.

I know there is so much more to my life than being a mother, but I don't think I have ever wanted anything more, and I feel like such a failure right now. So glad I have you guys as other than DH I have no one to talk to about this with.

Si1ver · 07/12/2017 12:02

I know there is so much more to my life than being a mother, but I don't think I have ever wanted anything more, and I feel like such a failure right now.

Oh god, yes, this. It's so hard isn't it? That indefinable ache to carry a child and to have a family.

I know my husband wants to be a dad, I know he hurt when I miscarried, but he's never going to understand that aching drive to reproduce nor is going to understand how each month and each failure feels like a little death.

LexieJean · 07/12/2017 12:52

Oh god @si1lver and @micro that’s it. I keep feeling guilty for wanting something so much, something so basic that other people do by accident or with ease. If I put this much attention into my job or world peace what could I do? I’d still feel the void, I know I would. That’s just how I’m made.

Also- bravo yammers for ejecting the nasty troll. I totally missed that and you all did brilliantly. 👏👏👏

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 07/12/2017 12:59

micro , silver and lexie I feel that pain inside too. I mask it but I just don't understand how people are getting pregnant by accident and we have been trying for 11 months and nothing.

I just don't understand and it is that gut wrenching feeling of sharing sowmthing so much but feel powerless to have it

Sending hugs to you all

DoAsDreamersDo · 07/12/2017 13:07

Oh ladies I completely agree. It's so difficult sin't it? It's something that seems such a basic desire that seems to happen so easily for others.

RhiBee29 · 07/12/2017 13:39

Good luck @Bubblegum89, keep us updated.

CD8 and loads of ewcm and stabby pains, could I ovulate this soon? Usually it's cd17/18. Just ran to poundworld on my break and got some OPK's, can I POAS in Work?

Si1ver · 07/12/2017 13:50

Of course you can @RhiBee29

I think Soozc has a special portable cup for this purpose.

Bubblegum89 · 07/12/2017 14:03

Thanks ladies. Group hug to you all ❤️

My uterus isn’t my friend right now, period cramps on and off all day even though my period isn’t due for another’s 3 weeks. Hate that it just can’t do something normal for just one month.

micropig · 07/12/2017 14:45

Sorry that you all have to feel this way too, but I'm also so glad I'm not alone in this.

Have been in a horrible mood all day. DH is yet to bring me a bar of wholenut too, do I need to remind him every month?! Feeling like he doesn't even know me as he brought me a subway (he happened to be passing one) and got it with gherkins and jalapeños, eurghhh! I am grateful he thought of me, just feeling extremely sorry for myself.

Made myself feel a bit better reading a guardian article about 12 year old girls who tried to kill their friend, and a famous crime author who as a teenager who helped murder her best friends mum. I can't get murdered by my daughter as I don't have one, ha.

Bubblegum89 · 07/12/2017 15:05

That’s one way of looking at it micropig 😂 oh and thanks a lot, now I need a bar of whole nut!

SoozC · 07/12/2017 16:21

I do have a special cup! Travel one that can be slipped into a pocket discreetly!

micropig · 07/12/2017 17:31

Haha @Bubblegum89 enjoy your chocolate when you get it then! 😂 DH is just about to get me one. We don't live in the UK but a relatively local supermarket sells them, can't wait!

Bubblegum89 · 07/12/2017 18:20

Ooh where do you live micropig? I actually went out in the pouring rain just to get some whole nut because I couldn’t stop thinking about it haha

SparkwoodAnd21 · 07/12/2017 18:43

That’s the spirit micro! Grin

TheGrumpySquirrel · 07/12/2017 19:22

"I think Soozc has a special portable cup for this purpose."

Grin i once used a business card holder Blush

So I'm massively pissed off with DH who has been at work all day but apparently could not find 5 minutes to call the GP for his SA results?? And they phoned him yesterday and left a voicemail saying please call. I am at the mercy of this useless man.

Anyway I called them myself in the end - we have to book an appointment to come in and discuss the results. FFS.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 07/12/2017 19:23

Ps I'm 5dpo and NOT bloated which is unusual. Highly doubt we've conceived tho as weren't trying this month.

It's my due date this Sunday. I wish I had my baby with me this Christmas.

Si1ver · 07/12/2017 20:08

Oh lovely TheGrumpySquirrel how bloody awful for you.

I hope the SA results show something small and easily fixable which will result a swift and troublefree pregnancy for you.

NimbleKnitter · 07/12/2017 20:12

You deffo can piss in a cup at work! Did it yesterday - smuggles test and disposable plastic cup into the cubicle inside a woolly hat

RhiBee29 · 07/12/2017 20:26

Couldn't find a way to smuggle a cup into the loo...did an opk at home but it was negative. Still lots of ewcm so maybe fw is imminent.

@TheGrumpySquirrel hope you're ok x

LovePinaColada · 07/12/2017 20:27

Loving the secret poas pot stories - I once wee'd in my partners vitamins lid - I was desperate & to this day he is still wondering where the lid disappeared to! 😂

Can I ask some advice ladies? Sorry, it's far TMI but I am having awful times with AF (long story) basically VERY heavy, VERY painful - I always get blood clots with AF but I just had the largest ever. It was huge & made a huge noise (sorry) when it hit the water in the loo (sorry again). Should I be concerned? Have wrote it down to tell my doctor, but any experience here?

Bubblegum89 · 07/12/2017 20:41

LovePina I think the rule of thumb when it comes to clots is if they are bigger than a 50 pence piece and you have more than a couple, then it’s worth speaking to your doctor. Gross alert but one time (back when my periods were actually half decent) I was sat downstairs and felt that lovely familiar gush and I was only wearing a dressing gown so I ran upstairs to get a tampon and heard a noise like something dropping. On my way back down, I noticed something on one of the steps. A huge blood clot, about half the size of my hand. It was big enough that it made a sound when it hit the wooden floor. I was fascinated and grossed out at the same lol but as it was only one, I wasn’t concerned. If it happens often and they’re relatively big, I would just ask your gp if it would be something they need to check on :)
