Welcome all anti-fertile fuckers! This is our clique for those trying longer than 6 cycles and are pretty fed up.

Here are our Fucked Off TTC Commandments

  • Thou shall not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shall not give advice to other when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shall not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shall not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shall not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

How hard for you. I have also been earlier than my apps rather than later so haven't had they feeling yet, must be hard to not get your hopes up. Sending lots of luck!

Hehe made me laugh @micropig - I have tested before whilst on Day 1 of AF - just can resist, but then kick myself. Nightmare!

@lovepinacolada man I'm so glad to have you guys to moan with and to know that its not only me that does stuff like this. Also in my TWW I google nearly every twinge or thought I have incase its a pregnancy symptom haha. The only reason I do it less now than when I started is because I've practically memorized all the 'pregnancy symptom list' web pages now haha.

So hard not to get my hopes up today, but my heart rate is going down and it would be going up if I was pregnant so I have that to bring me back to reality. I guess there must just be something wrong with me!

@LovePinaColada yep I’d given up all hope, sunk a bottle of Prosecco then got a bfp the next day, sadly ended in mc at 6.5wks though. With DS I got a bfp 3 days before af. Who knows?!

@micropig I’m wondering if this is a weird long cycle too as my cycle seemed to be getting back to 28 days after mc and getting shorter each month but now its cd31 and still bfn.

So sprry for those awful bfn steak, rhi and love.
It really is gutting seeing a white window. I don't know if anyone else does this but I put mine up into the window light, then the light bulb light. I then squint with one eye and take several photos and make it black and white and zoom in. I mean by that point I know I've cracked 🙈

Morning ladies, sorry to hear of all the BFN’s. micropig I literally was going to do the same haha my period has been pathetic this month (brown spotting, one small gush of red blood then back to brown blood) and I was going to test but then I was like, don’t be such an amazing idiot!! Does anyone else have rubbish periods? Not much red blood, very short/watery/light with no constant flow? I had cramps for three days this cycle which I’ve never had before but figured maybe my flow was going to be heavy but it wasn’t.

Morning all. Sorry for the BFNs. So I'm 13 dpo, and have had no spotting. This hasn't happened in nearly 2 years. Normally I start spotting around 5 dpo, and AF starts 12 dpo/first thing 13 dpo. Boobs still sore. Shall I test on Wednesday with a FRER? Would be 15 dpo by then?

Oh gosh, I do all that & add every filter to see if I see a line. I saw a line on my bright white BFN for a millksecond!!

Sorry to hear AF got you @Bubblegum89 - I have the total opposite to you period-wise. Is what your describing normal for you? If not, I would be tempted to POAS - but I am an addict!! Also, you're not an idiot. X

You have amazing willpower @OverinaFlash - I would have tested by now. But guess, the longer you wait the more definite the answr will be. Good luck!

lovepina yeah it’s normal for me. My periods have been rubbish since coming off the implant last year. They’re 90% brown and the red bleeding I do have inbetween lasts maybe an hour max. An US showed I don’t have lining issues but can’t think of any other reason why they’re so bad!

@bublegum89 I used to have periods like that before I started accupuncture. 4 days of brown spotting 1 day of dark blood and then back to 3 days of spotting. My accupuncturist reckons the lining wasn't coming away properly and evenly which is why its brown as that's the colour of 'old' blood. She said it can make it harder for the egg to implant if the lining of the womb is uneven. Not sure how true that is. 3 rounds of accupuncture later last two cycles have been 1 day spotting 3 days red medium flow and 1 day spotting at end. So seems to have made a difference...i also use moxa sticks and hot water bottles ...however still not pregnant!

Oh wow mrsjones that’s crazy! Do you think it really works then? I’m pretty skeptical when it comes to holistic therapies and stuff lol. I googled about brown bleeding and all it told me was that it was old blood and you usually get it before your period starts. Nothing about having it for the whole three/four days of your cycle. What I wouldn’t give to just see a nice three days of red blood!!

@bubblegum89 I'm not sure. I am a huge believer in the placebo effect and think that makes a massive difference. However I have actually seen and felt physical changes with accupuncture so who knows. I had it before I was TTC for pain relief and had a serious shoulder injury and basically had to have my whole shoulder reconstructed and the physio I was seeing was into accupuncture and more traditional methods of pain relief so he introduced me to it and the effects on reliving pain were remarkable. So thought I would give it a go for TTC. I have seen a difference in my cycles etc and my generally stress levels. I think next step for us to to get DH tested to check there is nothing wrong there and see where we go.

I think you need to be careful and find a good accupuncturist that is honest and clear about what they are doing and why. If they can't explain it to you then stop using them. Some accupuncturists cost a fortune and charge more for 'fertility' treatment which I think is a joke. Mine is very reasonable and is always very clear about what we are doing. I saw her for another issue before we went down the fertility route and she sorted that out for me. I guess it's very much down the the individual.

I'm 37 and had been TTC #1 for 18 months when I got my BFP only to have a miscarriage at six weeks, which was followed by a couple of weeks rubbish times with hospitals. Finally got a negative test yesterday which coincided with a positive surge on CBD okps .

One of the midwifes unhelpfully told me to crack on immediately as this month would be "the most fertile you'll ever be". So despite the fact that everything hurts after by last scan by a hamfisted baboon of a technician I'm hysterically insisting that my husband has sex with me for the next three days, which I'm sure is his dream come true considering I've cried every time we've tried so far and flinging handfuls of vitamins down my neck and his.

I think I almost preferred it when there wasn't any hope.

Sorry for the BFNs this morning, whiter than white tests are the worst. I’m also someone who holds a test in 36425 different positions/lights just in case.

Morning Si1ver, so sorry to hear about your misscarriage and your insensitive midwife and crap Ovulation timing. After my MC, we chose to have a break for a month because I was crying at every attempt to BD - not my most attractive look or one which made DH feel good either. Remember to be kind to yourself and drink wine x

Si1ver I'm so sorry for your miscarriage and what you've been through. I took an 8 month break fromm TTC after my ectopic pregnancy as I just wasn't ready. You need to look after you. You need to be healthy and healed for yourself. If you want to try now and feel ready to be pregnant again then go for it. If you don't, don't. Flowers

I don't think I can face a break. My husband was so excited about being a dad; I know it's not logical but I feel it's my fault that's been taken away from him and that if I ignore the midwife and then never get pregnant again that'll be my fault too.
