Welcome all anti-fertile fuckers! This is our clique for those trying longer than 6 cycles and are pretty fed up.

Here are our Fucked Off TTC Commandments

  • Thou shall not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shall not give advice to other when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shall not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shall not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shall not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

Our spreadsheet which includes what supplements (and potatoes) we are trying in our journey to motherhood.

Steak urgh, seriously? I hope you bopped her over the head and told her not to be so silly?

I'm really hoping that all of you who are waiting a few more days to test get you BFPs.

Vicar thank you for starting the original thread. I've really struggled recently so this group of moaners has been my sanity x

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 27/10/2017 12:45

doas I also feel like I'm going out of my mind and feel so frustrated that it's a relief to see other people who understand. Although of course I wish everyone their bfp

steak that person needs to get a clue....

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 27/10/2017 12:47

limplettuce 👍 I'm sorry to hear about your mc but I've got your back. Sending baby dust to us all that we get a few more bfp out of this thread

LimpLettice · 27/10/2017 13:06

Steak she probably didn't plan it but is trying to head off any comments about being only 20 by being insenstive and stupid. I was stupid at 20, I think it is fairly standard Grin. Still blasted annoying.

Ooh, did I just be reasonable? What is wrong with me?!

LimpLettice · 27/10/2017 13:06

Thank you Mama

Steaksauce · 27/10/2017 13:07

I mumbled the fakest sounding congratulations and then ducked behind my computer monitor to chunter to myself.

I did a test this morning because I’ve been feeling sick for a couple of days and my boobs hurt.
But I’ve just checked my apps for symptoms in previous months and my boobs hurt and felt sick at 9dpo before.
And CM has now dried up completely so I’m pretty sure already that I’m out. Again.

Gutted Sad

MrsRL · 27/10/2017 13:24

Hi guys hoping to join,

ttc #1
Age - almost 34
Now in month 13

Periods have been weird, since I came off the pill varying from 28-32 days, and I tend to ovulate between day 18 and 21 giving me a varied luteal phase (rubbishing all of the things I have read saying luteal phase doesn't change. To top it off I get spotting for 5 to 7 days before AF arrives. GP claims this can be completely normal (never been normal for me previously) had the hormone tests which are apparently all normal.

Our GP won't refer for further tests until we've been trying for 18months.

I'm the last of my close friends to have kids, with 2 arriving within the last 2 months and one announcing their pregnancy. I'm really happy for them, but it's not easy and I'm just starting to feel really fed up and losing hope.

Thanks for the space to have a moan!

RhiBee29 · 27/10/2017 13:44

@Steaksauce I just bumped into an ex-colleague who’s 22 and told me she’s 19 weeks pg with a girl...urgh!

micropig · 27/10/2017 13:45

@MrsRL welcome!

Bubblegum89 · 27/10/2017 13:48

juneybean I see. I got my surge on cd11 this cycle so I’m assuming I ovulated on cd12 which makes me cd26/14dpo today and af isn’t here yet BUT I’m thinking that maybe is possible that I ovulated on the Saturday instead seeing as it can take up to 48hrs after the surge so not going to read too much into it now!

limplettuce aw thanks for having a read. I know it’s not a joking matter really but if I didn’t laugh, I’d just cry.

steak ffs what a knob. Some people have literally no tact. Or brains. Bastards Angry

Justwaitingforaline · 27/10/2017 14:15

I’ve been looking into the CB fertility monitor and stumbled across this item description on eBay... I can’t help but feel this woman would have been one of us Grin

Bubblegum89 · 27/10/2017 14:31

justwaiting it’s so true though haha

I wish I could take my own advice and stay away from pregnancy tests. Basically just spent a tenner to kick start af. I know I’m not pregnant but I couldn’t help myself anyway. Look how pathetic this is lol

stillvicarinatutu · 27/10/2017 14:54

thanks guys - i did think someone needed to start a thread to say how crappy it is at times!

im still boob prodding at every given opportunity which is really just ridiculous although i do manage to hold of the testing these days because miraculously af is usually bang on time and i cant afford to waste the money on tests! (temptation always there but after a couple of false positives/evaps ive learned that very painful lesson! fuck those notorious horrid superdrug early pink dye tests that fill you with false hope! )
so i dont bother testing. and after months of opks and dtd daily over the fertile window ive given up with those as well. hey ho.

Steaksauce · 27/10/2017 15:12

@Justwaitingforaline haha love it

@Bubblegum89 that’s what mine looked like this morning. Shit isn’t it?

@stillvicarinatutu I’ve just caught myself prodding my boobs at my desk and then (without thinking) looked down my top to see if they were veiny. What a fucking twat.

I hope no one saw....

LimpLettice · 27/10/2017 17:21

Ah man. Today is shit. And there needs to be wine. Stark white frers are the worst.

Plus, my head gasket has blown today and will require me spending most of my baby slush fund. Arrghhhh.

Bubblegum89 · 27/10/2017 17:23

steaksauce it’s crap that’s for sure. How many dpo are you now?

limplettuce oh no! What a nightmare. I think wine is definitely needed for everyone. Or maybe something a bit stronger Sad

minime2017 · 27/10/2017 17:49

Bubblegum I've line eyes on your behalf cos I thibk i can see the hint of a pink line on that test. I'm obsessed with others' hpts as mine are always so damned disappointing. Here in af misery debate g with myself whether at the age of 40 and a half there's any point going to see the dr. Hate the idea of it, I'm such a big scared cat. Then think to myself if I'm too chicken to see a doctor how the hell would I cope if I did actually by some miracle get pregnant. I had a chemical at the start of the year and when I got my brief bfp I had serious anxiety which (maybe irrationally) I kinda blame for the loss... ttc insanity starting to take over here.

RhiBee29 · 27/10/2017 18:06

@Bubblegum89 my boobs were a tiny bit more tender today soI just got home from work and POAS?! Why do we do it?! Obviously a bfn.

Bubblegum89 · 27/10/2017 18:26

Aw minime have you been to see a doctor before? I put it off for ages because I was worried they were going to tell me something awful but then I was like, I could be wasting my time ttc when there’s an issue that could be easily fixed. What is it you’re scared of RE a doctor? I don’t think your age should be an issue, you’re entitled to have fertility tests. Is that what you’re worried about? And I’m sorry you had a loss, I might not have been pregnant at all in the last year but in a way I’m thankful I haven’t had to go through any losses. Big hugs Flowers

Rhibee ugh it’s awful isn’t it?? I don’t know why I bothered, call it intuition or whatever but I know I’m not pregnant. Can’t believe I wasted money on tests again!! My boobs are okay unless I’m not wearing a bra or my partner squeezes them or hugs me too hard. But for me, that’s perfectly normal during my tww. I think af will be here either tonight or in the morning. I’ve taken a test now and that’s usually what triggers it haha

MrsRL · 27/10/2017 18:56

I'm back to cd6. AF arrives bed a few days earlier than planned, which was both good (only 1 day of spotting beforehand as opposed to 5) and bad (9 day luteal phase).

I have coke chilling in the fridge for a rum and coke later tonight!

Justwaitingforaline · 27/10/2017 19:13

Mrs we’re close cycle wise, I’m on CD 9 at the moment!

In case that OPK was a positive, we BD earlier and as DP is on a night shift, I’ve set an alarm for 4am as I have no time tomorrow Blush

Unicornberry · 27/10/2017 19:16

For anyone thinking of going to see a doctor for the first time about fertility testing, when I was TTC #1 you had to have been trying 1 year if you were under 35 or 6 months if over 35 before they would do any testing. Once over those times the GP can refer you for initial tests for you and your partner before you see a specialist to come up with a plan. It's not scary and you can just have the initial testing if you want to, to see if there are any signs of problems.

LovePinaColada · 27/10/2017 19:33

Just out of curiousity @Unicornberry, what are the initial tests? Hopefully I won't get there, but jusr curious x

Unicornberry · 27/10/2017 19:37

The initial tests we had were 21 day blood tests (and a few others were checked too, most of what they check at your first antenatal appointment) and a sperm analysis for DH. For us, the tests picked up problems but we conceived about 4 months after the initial tests so once we had set treatment into motion it didn't take long but we did have to pay privately for some of it.

Bubblegum89 · 27/10/2017 19:40

unicornberry I was lucky that I was able to start tests a bit early as so have suspected scar tissue which was spotted on an US back in Dec last year. But yeah it is usually only after a year of ttc or 6 months if over 35. And lovepina for me, the tests initially were blood tests to check I was ovulating, check thyroid, hormones etc. Then my partner had to have blood tests and give in a sample. Just waiting for his results and then I think next step is a HSG :)
