Here are our Fucked Off TTC Commandments

• Thou shall not arrive one day and post BFP next day
• Thou shall not give advice to other when TTC for one month only
• Thou shall not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
• Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
• Thou shall not be offended by strong language
• Thou shall not tell everyone to eat yams
• Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

vicar I hope that my previous post didn’t sound like one of those horrible patronising “oh such and such did this and it worked for her so it might work for you” posts, that wasn’t my intention I promise!

I suppose acceptance must have been a huge step to take but one that I’m guessing might have given you a bit of peace? Also, I don’t think anyone ever stops boob prodding, not really!

@vicar don't feel like a stranger you're the one who brought us all together. I'm sorry you feel rubbish. If there is one positive to take out of this thank you for posting the brace reality of how shitty TTC is and allowing ladies like myself to moan to others and understand that not everyone just falls pregnant that easily. I can never express enough how grateful I am for that and how much it had kept me sane. Forever thankful to you x

I really feel for you, especially with the DP blame. It’s slightly different for me these days but in the years after dd was born I was single for a long time, and the rage I had towards exdp for not managing to hold off on being a horrible, cheaty fucker long enough for me to have such a wanted second child was enormous. Now it’s so much harder with DP coz of my age, I still hate wanky ex for it. The getting healthy plan is a good one and I hope you feel better for it.

@stillvicarinatutu I’m so sorry to read your posts, I hope you’re ok (or as ok as you can be) are there any other options you could explore?

Thanks so much you guys. Really nice to have you lot to moan with. AF didn't arrive yesterday so I did a test this morning like a moron, of course it couldn't have been more negative. I've only ever had to do about four tests in my life and usually AF has arrived that day after. Feeling like shite. DH just said "well you can have a drink tonight now" but I'm not ready for being cheerful about it.

Preconception vitamins run out today so got to buy a fourth pack of them. I remember cheerfully buying my first one. Hopefully I can get the same ones in the other pharmacy as I can't bear going back to my usual one and having the guy look at me with pity.

@limplettuce love the puppy dream. When I was s kid I was convinced I'd give birth to kittens because of Magic and stuff. Never happened.

Tempted to get folate and vitamin D tablets instead of the pre-conception ones.

Af due today and no sign, just milky white cm. I did an opk yesterday afternoon as a hpt and got zilch, not even a faint line so I know I’m not pregnant. I’m hoping writing “af isn’t here yet” somewhere will trigger it so I can get on with my next cycle lol

@micropig I'd recommend folate as opposed to folic acid as if you plan to breastfeed, folic acid has been linked to tongue ties which may need revising whereas folate seems to be preferred. Its very new research though.

I'm 10dpo today and have 0 'symptoms' AF due 3rd November...which would be 17dpo! This cycle is the earliest I've ever ovulated so maybe AF will come early?

mrsjones did u use a ov stick? I'm due af on 5th nov. We could be poas buddies!

mrsjones what cd did you ovulate? I ov’d early this cycle too but my app kept my luteal phase as 14 days so af is due today rather than Sunday

Yes used a clear blue digital opk static smiley on CD13 so maybe oved cd14/15? Not sure. I don't tempt so can't know exactly. I usually have a 30/31/32 day cycle

I am due 5th too Mama but will probly test before due to possible champagne consumption. Well, I think I am. Have decided most likely ov was Tuesday but who knows. Cycles have been decreasing for months since coil removal but stable ish at 28 for the last 2.

I didn't know that about folic acid Unicorn. I fed DD for years with a lip tie which was never corrected. Might swap the folic for folate at some point then. Need to look at some Vit D so might do at the same time.

Question: Do you keep getting positive opks until you’ve ovulated? For example if I got my surge on a Thursday and it was still positive on Friday but negative on Saturday, does that mean I ovulated on Friday or could it have been Saturday? I don’t bbt so don’t know for sure when I ovulated but my app made it the day after my surge although I know ovulation can occur up to 36 hours after you get your first positive opk. Honestly the whole thing confuses the hell out of me

@Bubblegum89 I don't think so, I think the positive literally catchs the surge of LH which happens 12-48hours before ovulation so it's easy to miss the surge and continually get negative OPKs

I just did a test the whitest IC you have ever seen!!! I have some FRER coming in the post today, have told DH to hide them from me until Monday! 😱

Mama I will be your lucky charm. Last thread I was on, everyone fell pregnant straight after my m/c. Real life, the person I told I was ttc fell same month. Gits. :)

I use clearblue digis usually, and they defo worked, twice. Ran out this month and didn't replace, trying to play it cool, which was pointless as now I am totally guessing ov.

@unicornberry didn't know that about folic acid, thanks for the info. Have had trouble actually finding folate. The preconception vitamins I'd been taking have half folic acid and half folate in them, and the pharmacy said they can't find pure folate to order in annoyingly. Will have a look online. How much is the normal amount of folate to take per day? Does it differ from folic acid in that way?

@lovepinacolada Sorry to hear about the test, hopefully it was just too early to test.

Definitely wasn't too early for me testing as if AF is due any water then I would have ovulated while on holiday away from DH anyway I think.

Feeling super sorry for myself today but thankfully DH understands and has said I can leave work early today to go for a mopey bath and Netflix session lol. However I am currently watching a series where one of the characters is pregnant, ugh. Really feeling like there is something wrong with DH or I that we can't conceive. I know its not been as long as most of you guys yet. :(
