Hi guys, been reading loads of threads over the past few days. I am now 2dpo on my first cycle of ttc #1. I've created this thread to see if anyone had any success In conceiving in the first month or so. Really trying not to be crazy or obsessive but this is all new to me! I came off the pill last month so I know there's an unlikely chance of getting pregnant due to hormones. But if anyone has any comments, feel free to share!
Flowers Good luck to everyone xx

Dd1 was conceived first time trying... Then I had a chemical pregnancy but I think due to stress and trauma at the time... But then fell quickly the month after with Dd2... It's only now 7 years later that I'm on cycle 4 and it's pricing tricky😕 stay positive xx

Pregnancy 1 - conceived cycle 1
Pregnancy 2 - conceived cycle 1 but had mc
Pregnancy 3 - conceived cycle 1 again. Now 13 weeks pregnant

I feel extremely lucky and have never taken this for granted. I was told I would never conceive naturally so to me they're all unbelievable still! Good luck OP and try and enjoy the journey

I fell with my son within a month. I thought it could take up to a yearShock so I was very surprised! . I was in my mid twenties and taking the contraceptive pill since I turned 16 with no breaks.

Yes both - DS1 and current pregnancy and was 35 y/o and 38 y/o respectively . Good luck

Mrstobe90 · 15/10/2017 23:36

I’m pregnant with DC1 and was convinced it would take a while to conceive but it happened on the very first try of the very first cycle! It was crazy and very lucky but it does happen! Smile

holdthewine · 16/10/2017 00:34

Oh yes, 5 children and 2 miscarriages later I can testify to that. Every single time. Just think about all the accidental pregnancies there are too.

My heart aches for those who struggle. My best friend went through it and I used to feel so guilty.

Good luck with TTC.

Holliewantstobehot · 16/10/2017 00:46

Yes both times. Said let's have a baby and was preg 3 weeks later! Was a bit of a shock the first time as was expecting it to take 6 months or so.

Currently 25w, conceived first try, the morning after our wedding Wine

Gem173 · 16/10/2017 14:27

I'm a little bit worried. I am currently 3 dpo and I've had a dull ache with some Light to medium cramping this morning and the urge to urinate was high. However I feel a pressure when trying to go to the loo so don't empty the bladder fully. Also when I wipe there has been redish pink blood, not enough to cover a pad. Really worried about this and am not sure what it means. I currently have no idea when my period is due, (if I have a cycle of 28 days then should be Saturday) but have not had these symptoms in the past before a period. If anyone knows what it could be please share some light x

Caught 1st cycle with both DC.
I can name the date of conception with dd2 as DH was away with work most of the month.
Felt very lucky until the hyperemesis kicked in!

BoredOnMatLeave · 16/10/2017 14:31

I was on the pill for 9 years, Stopped and started TTC after withdrawal bleed. Pregnant that month

LiquoricePickle · 16/10/2017 14:34

Yep, had the IUD out, got pregnant right away. No charting or anything.

I put it down to good timing and being on holiday!

Gem173 · 16/10/2017 14:39

@BoredOnMatLeave when you say withdrawal do you mean the bit after you stop or do you mean you waited for a normal period then started ?

Bythebeach · 16/10/2017 14:41

Yes with DC2 and then with DC3. (DC1 was an accident!!) DTD 14days before (v regular) first day of period was due as that is I believe usually when ovulation occurs and you get an LH surge. No sticks etc as we were just starting trying each time and weren't in a rush. Good luck to you.

BoredOnMatLeave · 16/10/2017 14:45

Gem I stopped taking it and didn't bleed for 6 weeks, then we started TTC. But yes it was the bit after I stopped as I didn't bleed til then.

Gem173 · 16/10/2017 14:47

@BoredOnMatLeave Okay thankyou

Mrstobe90 · 16/10/2017 14:47

@Gem173 it sounds like you might have a uti. I’d go to the docs and do a urine sample xx

Gem173 · 16/10/2017 14:49

@Mrstobe90 yes I have thought about that, il give it another day to sort out and if it doesn't go away will have to book an appointment with the doctor. Currently drinking lots of cranberry juice to settle it

Mrstobe90 · 16/10/2017 15:04

You can get sachets from pharmacies that neutralise your wee so it helps with any pain but usually, the only thing that can get rid of a uti is antibiotics xx

Gem173 · 16/10/2017 16:04

@Mrstobe90 will go to the pharmacy on the way home :) pain isn't too bad today.

Enterthedragons · 16/10/2017 16:11

DD1 - cycle 1
DD2 - cycle 1
DD3 - cycle 2
But I was never being relaxed or casual about it - think opks, temping, pre-seed and dtd every day for 8 days... I gave it my all!Grin

Blueberrysandgrapes76 · 16/10/2017 16:12

Don’t take anything from the pharmacy if you think you might be pregnant! Just go to gp if you think you have a uti. Could also well be implantation bleeding

Gem173 · 16/10/2017 16:37

@Blueberrysandgrapes76
Ofcourse, however I don't believe il be pregnant this month
