If anyone is ttc2 and expecting their AF/ BFP in November then this thread is for you.

Let’s all give ourselves a fabulous excuse not to drink at Christmas!

My stats are as follows:

Age: 35
DS: 2 (in late November)
Cycle: 13 (lucky for some?!?!) I have short cycles so this is month 11 (yawn!)
AF/ BFP due: 2 November

Feeling sad today (probably imminent AF!!!), I just feel I've been stupid clinging onto hope because my chart looks really good. Yes, I've had symptoms but if course these could be caused by AF as well. Here's my chart today. AF is due Thursday and I'm trying to prepare myself.

That looks a good chart Bandha! Don't count yourself out just yet! Same mini, you never know the spotting could be implantation, and if so it would be too early to test... Fingers crossed for both of you!

I'm pretty sure I ovulated today, have been mega bloated and felt cramps on my left first thing... so DH is off the hook. CD18 and we are both bloody knackered! Managed to dtd the 3 last days so hoping that's enough... hello TWW!

Incidentally it was my left ovary I ovulated from when we conceived DS so fingers crossed it's a lucky ovary!!!

I'm not out, I just got my bfp!!!

Bfn for me this morning so just waiting for af to arrive. Whilst an August baby wouldn’t have been my first choice I had come to terms with it and now I don’t need too. Silver lining that I can at least celebrate DD’s birthday at the weekend.

Sorry for the BFN this morning Mynameis. Such rubbish news, but I am a fan of any silver lining which involves .

In fact, I had my first mulled wine of the “Season” last night which reminded me how much I like it, so if my next AF rocks up around 22 December as predicted, I can at least console myself with lots of mulled wine over Christmas!

Sorry about the BFN’s, congratulations @Bandha for your BFP. Well I broke down in tears this evening over dinner, good job my DF is a good one, he could tell this morning I wasn’t myself and came home with hugs and chocolate. I know it’s pms as af is due Monday, I tested today BFN (I know it’s early and you’ll probably saw I’m not out til af arrives) but I know in my heart I’m not going to get a BFP this month despite dtd every other day for two weeks over the fertile period. I just don’t think I had enough CM. So I’ve got the primrose oil tablets and fertility lube so I’m prepared for next month. Least I can enjoy the Xmas market I’m going to and the 3 Xmas do’s I have and Xmas day of course with some wine. 😔 deep down I’m really disheartened though.

I'm at a loss. Pos OPKs, EWCM, thought our timing was spot on but then... my temp hasn't risen should be 2dpo now but not a sniff of my bbt heading up (I have a slow rise but it's actually gone down). I guess my body tried to ovulate but just didn't get around to it? I suppose the extra bfing my DS did over the weekend screwed it up. Urgh I guess now I just wait for AF? Will keep OPKing incase there's a second attempt but I'm gutted

Fly BBT might be a bit less accurate this time of year with colds and flus abounding. For a science bit- breastfeeding stops ovulation as prolactin suppresses LH/FSH production. So if your OPKs are picking up an LH surge that means the breastfeeding wasn’t the issue most likely.

Kit sorry you are feeling down. I am on cd7 now so need to get trying again but have an awful cough/fever over past few days and DH looks peaky this morning so suspect will be difficult this month. Think I’m going to follow in Cariad’s example and have some nice warm mulled wine tonight. Or a hot port.

Talking of colds and flu messing up bbt at this time of year: my chart is totally messed up due to a flu type virus illness which gave me a temperature. It was the worst time for it to happen as it was right around when ovulation should have been!! So my temp shot up to 38.5 - by around 2 degrees! - but this was before I got a pos opk. Now ff is saying I oved based on this crazy rise, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't that day due to it being before the opks. Also I didn't get the usual bad ov pain to give me a clue as usual, probably due to all the painkillers I am on. Did get some twinges but I don't know what they mean - before or after ov? Could be anything....

So I am at a loss this month as to what happened and when....we also only managed to dtd once, too early (cd12), as predicted, as we were both too ill to do anymore.

This is from a comment ages ago, but it made me lol when you mentioned the Guaifenesin, cariad!! I did use to use that the first time round, to thin the mucus, supposedly....anyway I bought some more this time based on you reminding me! I'd totally forgotten about it!

Not much hope for me this time round but good luck to everyone else.

Thanks ladies. I’ve literally just had a friend on group chat announce she’s pregnant. So if I wasn’t already down, I certainly am now. That’s 4 pregnant friends now all 3-5 months gone. And me....just a food baby! 😩

Kit, commiserations, it is happening all around me too. In every baby group I was in with DS, now 2, many of the other mums are either onto their second baby already or pregnant. We have to just feel solidarity for the ones that are not: chances are they are trying hard with no success yet like us. We are not alone.

Get this, as well as all the confusion over o due to temperature and opk not agreeing, I also still have ewcm. Maybe I haven't even ovulated yet???!! It would be a bit late for me but I guess illness can delay o just like stress can???

@kit so sorry for the bfn, completely understand how you’re feeling. There have been so many pregnancy announcements and new babies around me recently. I struggle to think that by the time we get pregnant and have another baby these newborns will be a year or more old.

Af hasn’t arrived yet but I’m sure it will turn up tomorrow meaning that I didn’t ovulate on CD12 as I thought but on CD14. Which we would have totally missed. I also broke down to DH last night about it all.

I can’t wait to see the back of 2017 and hopefully have a much better 2018.

Thanks ladies. @Mynameis sperm live for up to 5 days so even if you didn’t dtd on CD14 it might have happened for you when you dtd before then 🤞🏼
