Cariad2014 · 07/10/2017 22:09

If anyone is ttc2 and expecting their AF/ BFP in November then this thread is for you.

Let’s all give ourselves a fabulous excuse not to drink at Christmas!

My stats are as follows:

Age: 35
DS: 2 (in late November)
Cycle: 13 (lucky for some?!?!) I have short cycles so this is month 11 (yawn!)
AF/ BFP due: 2 November

kit can't say I've had that experience but do find Flo predicts ovulation couple days too early for me.

Still not AT 2 days later... still BFN though.

DinoMania · 19/11/2017 13:27

*no AF (oops)

MynameisJune · 19/11/2017 18:01

No idea what’s happened this cycle, have been seriously lax with the opks and I don’t know when I ovulated but I think we’ve possibly missed it. I’ve had EWCM for a week now, thought I’d ov’d when I had a nearly positive test on Tuesday night and a really light failed on Weds afternoon. But the EWCM has continued until today #confused

CoconutGal · 19/11/2017 18:11

8dpo & my nipples are sore. I have back ache but tbh I think that’s work related. I don’t feel any different from previous cycles but I do feel calmer than I have been previous months due to work etc. According to Ovia app I’m due to poas in 4 days, I’m going to leave it longer though just to be sure. Anyone else feeling lucky this cycle?

Cariad2017 · 19/11/2017 19:42

Thank you Dino, Missy and Fly.

Mynameis - sorry to hear that this cycle has been so confusing. This happened to me a lot earlier in the year and it drove me to distraction! As long as you keep dtding every other day, you should still be in with a good shot though (easier said than done I know).

Dino - It definitely sounds as though it might have been implantation bleeding, so don’t give up just yet.

Currently 7dpo at this end and I got excited on Friday and yesterday as the heart rate on my Fitbit soared to heights that I haven’t experienced since May when I had a really weird cycle which felt a lot like an early miscarriage. But alas, my heart rate has plummeted again today so I’m fairly sure I’m out yet again. AF is due on Sunday but planning to test on Friday as it’s DS’s Birthday and I quite fancy a glass or two of bubbles after he’s gone to bed!

DinoMania · 19/11/2017 20:12

Yeah just had a bit if very light pink discharge and been getting cramping past 2 days too so could be implantation. Going to test again tomorrow. Fingers super crossed.

Cariad fingers crossed for you too and happy birthday to your DS

MynameisJune · 19/11/2017 20:30

@cariad unfortunately DH has been really poorly and then working away so we haven’t been able to dtd since Wednesday night. So I think we are out this month already.

Fingers crossed that in the nicest possible way you won’t be having any bubbles for DS’s Birthday!

Cariad2017 · 19/11/2017 21:42

How frustrating Mynameis. This is one of the reasons I hate long term ttc so much. It’s really easy to time things perfectly over a short period of time (we moved mountains to make sure everything was timed to perfection in the first six months) but we’ve had quite a few cycles recently (including this one) where the timing was less than perfect. It’s so difficult when you factor in illness; work commitments etc. For what it’s worth, I’ve been confused by EWCM more than once so here’s hoping you ovulated last week when you originally thought you had.

I really don’t think this is our month but I’ll take the rise in heart rate as a positive in any event - I’ll take a conception but no implantation over no conception at all any day of the week... It could well be a sign that DH’s new regime is starting to work. He’s only been on it properly since mid-October so it may well be January before it makes a significant difference...

Kit1411 · 20/11/2017 12:11

I def think I ovulated yesterday as I was crampy and boobs were tender. 2 week wait now on 🤞🏼

Flybynight1 · 20/11/2017 22:14

Feel like I'm out already too mynameis! DH is away until CD12 and we've not managed to dtd at all this cycle. My cycles are a bit variable with O being between CD12-16 so guaranteed this month it'll be CD12 just because Sod's law always prevails!

This cycle 2 years ago we conceived our little munchkin (ovulated CD12 then!) so I was hoping Novembers would be lucky for us!

Kit if you are charting then you should try doing your bbt (if you don't get lucky this cycle!), I really found it useful at tracking ovulation (although I have a slow rise so actually pinpointing ovulation can take a couple of days!) but it was insightful to me

Flybynight1 · 20/11/2017 22:14

Cariad tell me about heart rate monitoring??

DinoMania · 21/11/2017 06:43

Kit 🤞

Flybynight that is frustrating and such a shame that your DH has to be away, is so typical that he probably won't be back in time too. Hope he is though and you will be lucky

I've still got no period but still BFN. Urgh!

Kit1411 · 21/11/2017 16:42

Thank you flybynight, (hoping I don’t have to but will bear in mind). Only 2dpo but have have terrible back ache, gas and a sore throat, hoping the back and gas might be a really early sign 🤞🏼

Paranormalbouquet · 22/11/2017 17:30

Is there a TTC #2 December thread yet?

I'm 34, have DD who is almost 4. Took us no time at all to conceive her so DH wouldn't agree to try again until summertime this year. And it's proving far more difficult this time around. Feeling irrationally annoyed with him today as my DD would love a sibling.

I had an EMCS and have got a scarred, shortened cervix (only discovered recently after an abnormal smear) as a result of the complications so am concerned that there's uterine scarring causing trouble.

I had a chemical pregnancy/very early miscarriage in September but otherwise nothing. Period due tomorrow but have terrible cramps and a BFN today so just waiting for it to start now. I know it's only been a few months but have been convinced there's a problem for some time (periods much lighter and shorter since EMCS).

Kit1411 · 22/11/2017 18:01

I havent seen a December one yet. Our DS was conceived very quickly after stopping the mycrogynon, but since stopping Cerelle this time it’s taking longer, wish I’d have come off the pill sooner too as my son is 5. Sorry to hear you had a chemical/early miscarriage, really hope you get a BFP soon.

Paranormalbouquet · 22/11/2017 18:43

Thanks Kit, just feeling a bit premenstrual and sorry for myself today, it will pass!

If I do manage to get pregnant I’m looking at a very high risk pregnancy (due to short cervix) so it’s going to be non-stop stress whether pregnant or not sadly!

Cariad2017 · 23/11/2017 14:19

Sorry I’ve been absent. 11dpo today and I’ve taken two pregnancy tests (albeit neither with FMU) and they were both negative and I have literally no symptoms, so I’m fairly sure I’m out. To be honest a pregnancy this cycle would not have been ideal for a whole raft of reasons (mainly work related and financial) so I’m not devastated, although it confirms the fact that we have secondary infertility as we’ve now been trying for a whole year (14 cycles) without even a hint of a BFP.

I’ve decided that I’ll probably let my hair down in December (within reason of course) as I’m fed up of living like a nun (apart from the dtd!) without seeing any results. The lack of caffeine has also contributed to me piling on the pounds (my BMI is still normal but it’s more borderline than I’d like) so I’m definitely keen to start an exercise regime in the new year, to make me feel better about my body if nothing else.

Cariad2017 · 23/11/2017 14:24

Flybynight - Re: The heat-rate tracker on the Fitbit, the theory is that your heart-rate should rise following ovulation and then stay high if you’re pregnant but fall back down again if you’re not.... If you google it, you will find some research that has been undertaken on this (albeit that the sample was very small). There is also a whole thread on it somewhere on the conception boards.

This is my chart for November. The first day of this cycle was 2 November. I ovulated on 12 November and I’m expecting

TTC #2 (November BFPs)
Cariad2017 · 23/11/2017 14:26

Sorry pressed send too soon.... I’m expecting AF on 26 November.

Cariad2017 · 23/11/2017 14:32

Paranormal - There isn’t a December thread as far as I’m aware so feel free to start one. I’ll add my details to it but may take a step back for a few weeks once AF arrives to focus on other things in life (I feel that far too much of 2017 has been spent obsessing about ttc and it’s made me pretty miserable). My cycles are short so realistically (barring a miracle) my next AF should be here just in time for Christmas!

Sorry you’re having a tough time. DS was my third pregnancy and that fear of something going wrong once pregnant never went away. I shall be keeping everything crossed that you get your BFP very very soon and that you have a happy healthy pregnancy.

Paranormalbouquet · 23/11/2017 14:40

Cariad my HR only drops the day after my period begins. Which is annoying! Period due today/tomorrow. Fairly sure I ovulated on the 9th. Not even a hint of a line on a test and all the usual symptoms so wish it would just start so I could move on to cycle 6.

11dpo is early- I wouldn’t rule yourself out yet! I know with DD I didn’t have a positive test until what I thought was 13dpo. But wasn’t really tracking them as it happened first cycle. Kicking myself (and DH) for leaving it so long again. I wasn’t worried at all until I discovered the cervix problem- it makes me anxious about uterine damage too which might be affecting things.

I do have some weight to lose so working on that over next few months anyway.

Cariad2017 · 24/11/2017 10:06

BFN again this morning so I’m definitely out. DS turns 2 today so at least I can drink some bubbles in celebration tonight.

Onwards and upwards to Cycle 15 which handily (for my inner soft cheese/ Christmas day tipple lover) will end before Christmas Day.

We’ll try this cycle (as always) but I’m a bit fed up with 2017 (it just hasn’t been our year), so I’m not holding out much hope. That having been said, I keep reminding myself that I had a sh&£&y 2007 followed by a wonderful 2008 (I met DH in the January of 2008) so a January BFP to coincide with our 10 year anniversary would be just swell!

Kit1411 · 24/11/2017 10:29

Aw good luck for January I have my fingers crossed for you. Enjoy today/tonight and a good knees up at Christmas, maybe it’ll happen when you relax and least expect it!

Cariad2017 · 24/11/2017 11:00

Thank you Kit. I feel that we’ve tried everything in our armoury this year and nothing has worked, so I’m not holding out any hope of a 2017 BFP next month, but we’ll see.

MynameisJune · 24/11/2017 11:07

@cariad so sorry it’s a bfn again, small slightly sliver lining that at least you can celebrate DS’s with some bubbles.

I think I’m out this month, don’t feel any different at all (although I never really do) but it’s just an instinct this month.

It’s our 10 year wedding anniversary at the beginning of Jan so a bfp for then would be lovely too!

Af is due next Wednesday, DD’s Birthday is the following Monday so will probably indulge in some bubbles on the Sunday 😊
