Ttc #2? (October bfp)

Here we are again! Some of us been here a while & finding it hard ttc our second, but we've been supporting each other and chatting since June, so let's carry on!

Can I make suggestion? To recap now, & to help us all keep up as thread gets long and new people join, how about we all put quick recap at end of each new message (or once a day if posting lots back and fwd as we do sometimes?!) (bit like email signature!) with the vital stats and anything else you want to add (like if IVF for example) so mine is:

rhibee I think 11dpo is okay to test, could still be too early but it's probably about the earliest I would test.

I never drink in the tww, mainly because there is research that says it can affect your LP and as mine is temperamental at the best of times I don't want to take the risk. I only drink now when af arrives.

Rhibee29 I'm only 1dpo and feels like an eternity to take a hpt. With drinking I will have a couple of drinks but would never get drunk because you never know obviously! I'm going to offer to driver everywhere with my friends and family to avoid not drinking though.

Rhibee I'd try and wait til at least 12dpo if you can. But I hate a bfn - I tend to prefer AF to arrive!

I drink in moderation during TWW. I don't think there's any damage that can be done until implantation happens?

Who is first up to test? Hoping this month is lucky for us!

Have been ttc no 2 for over a year and starting to feel really down now that it's not happening. I've been trying to stay relaxed and follow the 'it'll happen when it happens' mantra but I know that you will all understand how hard it is to just not think about it! I'm going to read this thread with care as I wonder whether it's time for ovulation sticks and other tricks? As much as anything g I don't think I can keep up the regular sex non stop! A more targeted approach might be the way to go!

I'm going to try and get an appointment at the doctors tomorrow. Ask for someone different. I used to have a lovely one who always helped but she bloody retired 🙄
I hate the waiting too! I over think everything!! I had period pains when first pregnant with DD and convinced that was it game over then. I waited a month to test because I was so scared I wasn't.
I've been on a real low today and felt like everything I touched turned to crap. Tried to keep busy with DD and made things worse for myself. Was tempted to lock myself in bathroom tonight and have a cry.
I agree on the drinking in moderation thing too. but enjoy yourself!!

Evening everyone!

DH & I have a 10yr old DD, been TTC number 2 for 10 months with not even a sniff of a BFP. Blood tests were done last week, waiting on a ultrasound in the next few weeks. AF has been strange this month, light & no pains or symptoms. I'm now full of cold & struggling to shift it having had it now for 5 days.

Despite feeling rough, AF seems to have stopped this afternoon. DH & I have agreed no OPKs this time, just temping, cm checking & have fun with it.

Oh I should add my age shouldn't I. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm 26, DH is 29

Seems tonight was a good time to join this thread as no sooner had I posted than one of my friends announced she is pregnant with baby no 2! So happy for her but I just so wish I had similar news to share.

I know I am so lucky to have DD and I am thankful every day for her... And yet...it's like an ache...right enough of that - it's going to be a good month ladies - positive thoughts all round!

I know what you mean beek. It's only cycle 2 for me but took a year with DD so not expecting it to be quick. It's a proper ache for another baby.

I know @beek it's so hard. One of my closet friends is so excited about her pregnancy and I'm so happy to share my experiences with her but I so badly want to be going through it now with her!
Positive positive positive! we can all keep everything crossed (except legs) for a good month x

I am the same with people telling me they're pregnant and trying not to get upset about not being pregnant. I have to wait eleven days now to get my bfp hopefully.

I'm the same too. I left a baby shower early yesterday, it was a bit more then I could handle.

@Elles85 I was at a baby shower yesterday too it's so tough. I'm finding the ache for baby 2 is much stronger than baby 1. It's hard when I keep thinking if I didn't mc I'd be so many weeks now. Anyway onwards and upwards! Let's hope for lots of bfp's in October

**RhiBee29 sorry about mc. For me with baby 1 I conceived first month of trying and naively thought that would happen again but here I am after trying for over 2 years and nothing but remaining positive this could be our month.

Fingers crossed for BFP all round

Been to the doctor again and having blood test on Thursday. After feeling fed up yesterday and AF this morning, I'm on a mission today. GP told me to stop with the ovulation tests as all they bring me is anxiety and she thinks they aren't they great anyway. I've always been slim but I've neglected my fitness because well I hate it! It does lift my mood and improves your chances so... back to it I go... Positive vibes only ✌🏼
@elles I got a baby shower invite yesterday and even that got me. I'm sorry for the mc. I'm hoping for good news for you soon. For everyone soon.

Am driving myself mad symptom spotting. I'm due on the 2nd so I think I may poas on Friday just to see. Not expecting anything but might help me to relax a bit over the weekend!

@ElephantAndBird my cycle is slowly coming back to 28 days which would be tomorrow. AF predicted for Sunday. Cannot wait to POAS! So tempted to test tomorrow morning which will be 11dpo but trying to hold out

@RhiBee29 my cycle is a bit all over the place too - I'm still bf DD, but it's been 25-26 days. Good luck if you do decide to test tomorrow - I guess at 11dpo fmu might show a +ve? Here's hoping!

BFN it's very early to POAS but I couldn't resist. Bloody instagram now informs me that another Kardashian is preggo...makes me want to cry and scream at the same time!

I cracked and poas too @RhiBee29 BFN here too. Fingers crossed it's just too early for both of us.

Urgh sorry for bfns. Really hope it's just too early. Or perhaps you ovulated later? Do you chart and know your ovulation date?

It's easy to say try to wait to test but I know what I'm like and I'm sure I'll be testing madly when the time comes. 5dpo last month was a real low point!

I'm 11dpo today as well but won't be testing until after the weekend if af stays away.

Hello all I've not posted In a while as it's been the first week of my cycle and I try and use that week not to think of ttc as there's not much we can do till af leaves.

In fw now so DH just popped back for a quickie, won't get chance now till Friday and I think I will ovulate Saturday if same as last month.

Hope we get some more bfps coming in soon!
