Ttc #2? (October bfp)

Here we are again! Some of us been here a while & finding it hard ttc our second, but we've been supporting each other and chatting since June, so let's carry on!

Can I make suggestion? To recap now, & to help us all keep up as thread gets long and new people join, how about we all put quick recap at end of each new message (or once a day if posting lots back and fwd as we do sometimes?!) (bit like email signature!) with the vital stats and anything else you want to add (like if IVF for example) so mine is:

Hi @Nubian9454 sorry to hear you're still waiting for this cycle to finish. I experienced an anovulatory cycle once when I was ttc ds. I wasn't charting or using opks at the time so didn't have a very good idea of what was going on. I just remember having nausea for weeks and my period came a month later than expected, so it would've been about a 60 day cycle. If it's any consolation to you, this has never happened to me again in the four years since. Hopefully this is a one off for you too. There's always a chance if you think you're ovulating now though. Get busy and see what happens! Big hugs x

Hi @Nubian9454 - that's great you got a positive opk! Hopefully that means af or BFP in two weeks then! When I first came off the pill to ttc my dd my periods were all over the place, no sign of ovulation and I had a loopy 146 day cycle, which is when I went to the doctors. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and prescribed levothyroxine, but I think before I even started taking the pills, I got my first +opk and af followed two weeks later! 6 months after that I conceived dd. Good luck - I hope the end is in sight!

Well AF has arrived so that's me out! In a way I'm ok with it as I've only gotten a bfp when my cycle was 28days, last cycle was 32 this one 30 so in theory next month will be 28 days! Good luck to all those still in the TWW x

• Elles85 I have literally been emailing about acupuncture. The lady emailed me back yesterday and said the intial appointment can be at anytime during cycle just not with AF. I was talking to a friend about it today and she said it worked for her mum years ago. Im definitely giving it a go.

Sorry for the BFNs I'm hoping it's just early days for you all. ♥️ I had my blood tests, getting results next week. It would be nice to have some answers if they have any.

Well I'm about to ovulate and I've woken up with headache, killer throat and shivers. Managed to dtd last night but I just don't think I'll have the energy tonight. So annoyed!!

I swear by acupuncture, DH and I have said we will keep going till Christmas and if no bfp, get some acupuncture sessions booked in

Hello all, haven't posted for a while....as someone else said, I usually use the weeks before ovulation to think less about ttc if possible as there's not much to do then but get on with life....

Now just about to ovulate: beansprout, am in sync with you again!

Dtd Thursday night but last nigh DS had a bad night and ended up in our bed so it wasn't possible. I actually felt like it too, and DH was out and got in slightly drunk so I'm sure he would have been up for it...! Oh well. Will definitely try tonight.

So much for dtd every day in the fw! It's so hard isn't it?! You just can't predict what will happen when you've got a toddler. Really it's about the feelings and whereabouts of three people, not just two, so even more difficult to organise!!

PS Nubian, good to see you back; I was thinking of you. Hope you are ovulating and get some resolution from this strange cycle.

Thanks Lopey and Beansprout. I keep passing a health and wellness office where they offer acupuncture. I shall stop my car next time and go in to ask. I can't bare the thought of my ttc coming to such an abrupt hault. I hope I was really ovulating as I don't know because not temping. But I felt the pain from the left side like I normally do so fingers crossed i did...which means in 2 weeks time I will have some sort of resolution .

Bfn on frer this morning and af due on Monday so I think I'm out this month. But my next af will probably be at the end of October - so I'll stay on the thread.

Af has arrived. Onwards and upwards.

Sorry about Af elephant, it's rubbish when af arrives even worse when it's early. I often find that af arrives a few hours after a bfn as if it's been waiting just to make things worse.

Thanks everyone. I'm ok. It's very early days and I only had a 23 day cycle so I'm not sure I ovulated. Have had some which has helped!!

How is everyone doing? Mynameis - Have you managed to resist POAS until now? I shall be keeping everything crossed that AF stays away and that you get your BFP tomorrow.

Feeling a bit blue today. I made the mistake of stepping on the scales this morning only for it to dawn on me that I’m more than a stone heavier than my ideal pre-pregnant weight and a good 5kg heavier than I was this time last year. I’ve now been back at work for a whole year since my Mat Leave and quite a few of my friends who started ttc in December like us have either already had their babies or are now on Mat Leave again.

Sorry for the woe is me post. I’ve been at work all day (which hasn’t helped). Currently en route home for some cuddles with DS.

Stats are as follows:
Age: 35
DS 22 Months
Cycle: 12
AF due: 7 October (although if she doesn’t turn up then, I have a horrible feeling that we might have spectacularly messed up our timings this month)

Cariad so sorry you're feeling blue today and that you've had to work on a Sunday! My weight is a constant source of concern but I just don't have the mental capacity right now for work, toddler, TTC and getting my diet under control. I haven't poas yet and probably won't, pretty sure af will arrive sometime between now CD25 and Wednesday CD28. Although today is 14 days after OV. I'm currently getting cramps and my mood is all over the place so not hopeful for this month....

Mynameis - Pregnancy symptoms are so similar to AF symptoms that I’ve never been able to “tell” definitively before 4.5 weeks in any of my pregnancies, so you’re definitely not out until the red lady sings. I’m still keeping everything crossed that this is your month.

I can totally identify on the weight loss front - this is precisely why I haven’t done anything about it to date. My concern is that if I keep putting on a kg every couple of months, my weight might quickly become an impediment to ttc before my very eyes. It’s so so tricky.

The weight thing is so tricky. I have been trying to make small replacements to healthier options. I just can't get me head around a full blown diet. If I'm made redundant the upside is I should be able to eat better and have time to exercise!

I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, if af stays away until Thursday then I'll test but we will see. I didn't really have any symptoms until 6 weeks with DD.

Just did two FREPT and got a bfn but I'm only CD 28 and 10 dpo so like to think I'm still in the game. Positive thoughts!

Cariad - sorry you're feeling crappy. Don't give up hope just yet. I didn't think we'd been great on timings this month (2 or 3 times in fertile window, depending on exactly when I ovulated) yet here I am. I got a 'pregnant 1-2' on a CB digi on Sunday and af has stayed away today 😀.

Congratulations curliegirl, af was due anytime between Sunday and Tomorrow. So far it’s stayed away but I’m convinced it will arrive tomorrow so I haven’t tested yet.

Hey ladies! Just started on this thread, as OH announced yesterday that he is ready to start trying for baby number 2!
Need some advice (preferably positive!) as I have been on the DP injection since sept/oct 2015, af was relatively "normal" up until march 2017, and I haven't seen hide nor hair of her since then.
Last injection was due beginning of September, but was rearranged twice, so never had it done.
Stats are as follows:
