Here we are again! Some of us been here a while & finding it hard ttc our second, but we've been supporting each other and chatting since June, so let's carry on!

Can I make suggestion? To recap now, & to help us all keep up as thread gets long and new people join, how about we all put quick recap at end of each new message (or once a day if posting lots back and fwd as we do sometimes?!) (bit like email signature!) with the vital stats and anything else you want to add (like if IVF for example) so mine is:

36
DS age 3
Ttc#2 since Jan/Feb (early mc in Aug)
Af/bfp due Oct 12th

Might be a bit of a pain typing it each time but would help everyone know where we're coming from? Good luck all for another cycle, we can do it!

**MynameisJune thank you. I made an appointment with my doctor on Monday so I'll see what they say.

I had a positive OPK today and ewcm so down to business this weekend for me

Sodasoda · 22/09/2017 12:21

Hello everyone!

Please could I join - you all sound lovely! Looking forward to getting to know you all more.

Bit about me
Age 35
1 DD aged 13 months
Cycle 1 (or 2!)

I had my first AF on 23 August post baby (I was breastfeeding but have stopped now). It was normal / heavy, lasted about 5 days. Decided to start TTC straight away as DD took around a year. Started charting and using OPKs etc. Used to ovulate lateish and had 14 day LP.

Pretty sure I ovulated day 17 but then I got light spotting and AF-type cramps 11dpo and I assumed AF started. Pretty gutted as thought we'd given it a good go and so many people have said they took ages TTC no. 1 and then no. 2 was easy! Blah blah blah!

Anyway, had slightly heavier spotting on 12dpo (when wiped and in liner) but that's it! Nothing else at all. Temps are sky high on my chart but tested yesterday (13dpo) with FRER and nothing. Do I have any reason at all to remain hopeful? I'm really annoyed as I'd made my peace with AF and now feel in limbo again!! Is this perhaps just AF getting back to normal again?

Sorry for the ridiculous me me me post! I promise I'm supportive to others as well as self indulgent Wink

RhiBee29 · 22/09/2017 18:11

@Sodasoda I had a bfp 10dpo with DS but no bfp til 15dpo last time (ended in MC) so I don't think you're out yet. Good luck hope it's a bfp when you next test.

6dpo here and ridiculously trying to symptom spot even though implantation has probably not even occurred yet!

Lilypad15 · 23/09/2017 12:08

Hi all,

Can I join?

I’m 28, ttc number 2. Have a 9 year old from a previous relationship. Been with my partner for 4 years, ttc for 10 months so far. Not had any luck at all. My daughter was conceived from one missed pill. I’ve been pregnant again since, again from one missed pill. Sadly had to terminate which I didn’t want to do and has made the now very difficult ttc process even harder to deal with.

I’m currently cd28 of a regular cd28 cycle but I ov’d late (cd19 or 20) so af will be late too.

Hugs to you all :)

Tryingfor2 · 23/09/2017 12:12

Hi all

I was pointed in the direction of this group by the lovely lopeylopez. Im new to all this but have been trying to conceive our second for over a year now.
I'm not good with all the shortened lingo so bare with me.
Whilst typing this I've just received another pregnancy announcement 😞 I feel so guilty for feeling that pang of jealousy. If I have to hear another say it's easier to conceive the second time I might loose my mind.
I haven't had a chance to have a proper read of the thread so I'm going to later. I just wanted to drop in and introduce myself a bit.

Impatientmummy36 · 23/09/2017 12:42

Hi all, not had chance to read back properly.. hello new people & sorry to hear others struggling too. It really is so stressful and disheartening each month
.
So I feel like tearing my hair out with frustration!

In FW, day 13 and usually OV around 15. So I thought we had plenty of time. But the last 3 nights we've dtd and OH couldn't... erm... finish! It's the pressure now I think, this has never happened before but 8 months in ttc and he feels it's his fault each month when we get a negative.

We managed it this morn but we need to keep going tonight, tomorrow, and Monday assuming it's not too late by then! Hate this pressure! And we are now worn out!!!!

Have a good weekend everyone, hope someone has some good news soon.... xx

Hi tryingfor2, glad you found us!

CD7 for me today so in about a week I will be in the same boat as you impatient! I always feel bad initiating the sex during the fw, because I feel dp thinks I only want him for his sperm....!! How to make it still feel impulsive/romantic and without an ulterior motive???!!!

Good luck all, let's make this thread as lucky as September!! Smile

Tryingfor2 · 23/09/2017 14:44

@lopeylopez I know exactly what you mean! I've been really conscience of not making him feel like I'm using him and keeping the romance alive. I do try with the sexy underwear or just forgetting to put my bed tshirt on usually helps me 😂
I definitely think stress plays a big factor for me and this year has been a stressful one. We've put a lot behind us now so I'm hoping it onwards and upwards from here.
I'm actually getting married next year in December. The panic sets in that there will be a time where we will have to give up trying as I don't want to be heavily pregnant on my wedding day!

Tryingfor2 · 23/09/2017 15:05

Conscious sorry stupid phone predictive

bunnieboo91 · 23/09/2017 17:24

IM OVULATING!!!! WHERES MY HUSAND!!!

Tryingfor2 · 23/09/2017 23:04

I've read through the feed.
It's so nice to see so many amazing, brave, lovely women and to know I'm not alone.
My stats-
Age - 28
DD - 2 next month
Been trying for 13/14 months now
Like lopeylopez I never went back on any contraception as it was so difficult the first time (took 2 years)

Sodasoda · 23/09/2017 23:43

Thanks rhibee

Hello to more newbies. Sorry to hear of people's struggles. I never went back on contraception after no. 1 either as it took us a year to conceive her and we'd really like a small age gap. But it took nearly a year for AF to come back due to breastfeeding.

Anyway, AF properly here today. Definitely no mistaking it. Bit sad but I thought I was out anyway. Just got annoyed as if this is actually CD1 and I ov when I did last month then DH will be away so we'll miss it Sad

MynameisJune · 24/09/2017 07:57

Hi to more newbies!

Trying I'm sorry you're struggling, there are a few of us who have been trying for a while. We haven't used contraception since 2008 and DD was born in 2015. We were trying properly for 3 years, which is why this time we've gone for testing straight away as this time we don't have time on our side.

Rhi I'm sorry af arrived, even though you tell yourself that you know af is coming it still doesn't help when it arrives. Hugs.

MynameisJune · 24/09/2017 07:58

Sorry soda I was responding to you not rhi can I blame DD's 5am start this morning.

Impatientmummy36 · 24/09/2017 08:52

Exactly lopey it makes them feel like they're out to stud like a prize bull!

I always find the first day or two of FW fine are great, then we burn out and after that it's a chore! Think we put too much effort into the first few tries, get it wrong every month!

Ovia thinks my FW is over, but clearblue still on flashing smileys. Static smiley should come this afternoon based on previous months.... Ovia updated the FW itself based on me putting EWCM on weds and thurs. Now I'm paranoid it knows something, or my body knows something, the sticks do not?!

Hi June, how're you getting on this month? I tried acupuncture and obviously have no idea if any effect yet x

Bunnie I hope you found him! (And pinned him down :)

X

Looks like I'm out for September :( so checking in for month 3 (I think?).

Age: 23
TTC #2
DD1 age 3
Cycle 3

I was really hoping September would be our month because it would've been the due date for the pregnancy we lost earlier this year, but onwards and upwards. I'm not surprised, we had a rough month in terms of stress and life has turned upside down, to the extent that I've been in hot tubs and drinking southern comfort and all sorts.

Best of luck everyone for the month ahead :)

Tryingfor2 · 24/09/2017 19:55

All the symptoms for AF tonight! Due in 2 days so trying to come to terms with another failed month. It doesn't get any easier does it? Could do with a good cry tonight. Got told to get a move on today if I want another before wedding next year... 🙄

28
DD - 2
AF due - 26th
TTC no. 2 - 14 months

Tryingfor2 · 24/09/2017 19:58

@ovariesbeforebrovaries sorry about your loss earlier in the year. Hopefully this stressful month is put behind you on the next and you have a successful one ♥️

Tryingfor2 · 24/09/2017 21:45

Sorry @mynameisjune I missed your post. Do you mean home testing or to GP?
I went to GP about testing but she said she won't touch me until we've been trying for 2 years again. I've been home testing but going to start doing the temping now see how I get on with that x

MynameisJune · 24/09/2017 22:28

trying tests from the GP, i would go back and possibly see another GP although I know it varies greatly. Because DD took so long to conceive, and because I didn't use any contraceptive after DD, my GP put that we had been trying over 2 years. I did have to see a 2nd GP though as the first (male) GP was very dismissive.

bunnieboo91 · 25/09/2017 09:41

My fertile week is over and I've joined the tww now, I hate this time because I overthink ever symptom I think I have.

How do you guys feel about drinking while in the tww?

ElephantAndBird · 25/09/2017 09:55

I drink moderately in the tww.

I hate the waiting around too - I just want to know so I can either just get on with trying again or being pregnant.

Elles85 · 25/09/2017 10:09

**Tryingfor2 I would see another GP. I went to the doctors this morning and she was ok. She's sending me for tests so fingers crossed. I'm hoping there is something so then at least there's a reason it's not happening and hopefully fix it.

**Bunniboo91 when I was pregnant with DS I had no symptoms at all. Now I'm constantly trying to convince myself I feel every symptom ever Confused

I would drink in moderation too.

RhiBee29 · 25/09/2017 11:09

@bunnieboo91 I'm in the TWW. 9dpo, would it be reasonable to POAS on cd28, 11dpo? Symptom spotting like a lunatic!

MynameisJune · 25/09/2017 11:50

impatient sorry for not replying sooner, I'm a week into the tww for this month. I haven't tried acupuncture but might give it a go soon. I'm hoping that I've invoked the law of sod and will be pregnant this month as I've been made redundant on Friday 😂
