Faint line on a pregnancy test 15mins later what does this mean?

Hi
I don't know if I am going crazy but I have done three pregnancy tests over the last three days and after 15mins it showed a faint line what does this mean? I got my friend to use the same test and leave it for the same amount of time and she got nothing? Picture below mine is on the left side, I have done this three times and it's done the same thing, I did a clear blue test and it did the same but after 30mins, so now I don't know if I am just being crazy.
I am recovering from hypothalamic amenorrhea I had my first period in 9 months back in June but nothing since around two weeks ago I felt I might be ovulating but due to not knowing my cycle and being so irregular I have no idea when my period would be due so I have no idea when to test.
I currently have no symptoms which makes me think it's nothing but why have three tests showed the same and my friend got nothing?.
Anyone that could help would be greatly appreciated.

This happened to me - and I was pregnant!

Technically, you aren't supposed to count a positive outside the time window though. Maybe try again with an early response test - they are more sensitive! Superdrug do a good one. Good luck!

Thank you for your response, Did you have any symptoms? I know this is what I thought but when I read the instructions for this test it said this (picture below read section in brackets) that's why I did a clear blue one, I will do an early response one see what that's says did yours show up straight away on the early response test?.
I am just so worried I am putting to much on this and I'll be disappointed 😔.

Didn't really get any symptoms until later on!

It took me a week after my period was due to get a positive on an early response one - it all depends on when the implantation happens, so if implantation was late, it may take a while to get a positive!

Minimonkeysmum · 31/08/2017 12:07

And I'd say that it looks like it's positive if that's what the instructions say, but the early response ones are more sensitive and should hopefully confirm! ☺️

That doesn't look faint to me, that is a very clear positive. Faint ones don't usually show on a photo. Those red dye ones don't get very dark like the control. I know they say 5 minutes but often mine didn't change until 15 when pregnant in the first week or so.

The only false positives I've had outside the time window were the blue dye ones longer than half an hour.

My advice is get a digital test or a first response. The most sensitive ones are Boots own digital.

Thank you for your comments my husband has brought me a first response one so we shall see just hope it's not negative just weird three times that has happened after 15mins.

If you don't take the first response in the morning, home your urine without drinking for as long as possible to make it more concentrated. Also hold the test up to a bright or window after 5 minutes. It's much easier to see a fainter line then. Good luck!

Helen290 · 31/08/2017 18:13

I did a first response test when I got home from work because my husband really wanted me to and after 3 mins and the faintest line you could hardly see it came up so faint so I'm guessing that means it's negative?, I'm going to leave it till next week and do the first wee of the morning and see but I think I am just being over hopeful.

If there's any line, however faint, after 3 minutes that's a positive. Congrats!

ohnowhatcanido · 31/08/2017 18:18

If you see a line on a clear blue, you are pregnant! That's two tests now saying you are! I'd be suprised if you aren't :)

Helen290 · 31/08/2017 18:30

But it was so faint you literally could hardly see it

Helen290 · 31/08/2017 18:30

You could only see it when held in a certain way..,,,. Makes me think negative

RogerLimasOldestDreadlock · 31/08/2017 18:34

So faint you could hardly see it? I had one of those. He's climbing on a toy right now...

Helen290 · 31/08/2017 18:36

Helen290 · 31/08/2017 18:42

Really are you sure?

grandOlejukeofYork · 31/08/2017 18:44

I don't see a line.

You need to follow the instructions. If it says read it after 2 mins or 5 mins or 10 mins, you need to do that. It isn't accurate if it comes up at some random point after the window.

Wait a few days to a week and do it again. If you are pregnant you will get an actual line, tests are every reliable and you don't need all this guessing.

lightcola · 31/08/2017 18:44

I would say positive. If I were you I'd test again tomorrow with your first wee.

Helen290 · 31/08/2017 18:46

I left it for the exact amount of time it told me too no longer on this one

OP posts:
ohnowhatcanido · 31/08/2017 18:55

I definitely see it. It's feint but it's there!

alwaysontimeneverlate · 31/08/2017 19:01

Congratulations
