Some of you may recognize my username from the pregnancy and miscarriage boards. DH and I have been TTC since September 2016 and I had a MMC in January followed by an early MC in May. We took a break but got back on the wagon last month and this is our second month of TTC again.

I think I ovulated yesterday and we have DTD three times in the last four days, so I'm hopeful this might be the month for us! AF is due on 3rd September and I know it's going to be a long wait. Anyone want to join for some 2ww support? Smile

So thoughts everyone...is there any point testing now? I don't want to waste my money. 12dpo today. Did an internet cheapie this afternoon and stark BFN. Have started spotting which is how AF starts normally for me. Would you test to put your mind at rest or just wait it out for AF to start in full force?!

AlexsMum89 · 30/08/2017 21:03

Hmm @mrsjones maybe try to wait a day or two? The blank empty space on the test makes me sad

EsmeGNU · 30/08/2017 21:24

My cycles got longer for the first couple @Sictransitgloria then they settled down.

Opensesame1 · 30/08/2017 21:58

@Mrsjones17 my head is telling you to wait at least a day however I have previously used 4 tests in the space of 24 hours so that would be very hypocritical!! 😂😂

My wee twinges have turned into a burning sensation and I am feeling quite yucky so I think I might be getting sick!! 🤢 we are having a party this weekend for my dss who will be 7 and I am making a Pokemon cake over the next few days so I really hope it goes away soon!!

PollyCazaletWannabe · 30/08/2017 23:48

As I feared, I'm out :( AF arrived today. Good luck to all of you and maybe I'll see some of you next month xx

Sorry to hear that @PollyCazaletWannabe
Let's hope next month is the one for you Flowers

Cinnamonstoothbrush · 31/08/2017 09:21

@fia256- hope you get on okay today

Fia256 · 31/08/2017 09:55

Well I left the drs in floods of tears.

Saw the one dr I hate there. He's so unsympathetic. I told him about my tests and also my worries from the past miscarriages. Asked for bloods. He turned round and said what good would that do. Told me I don't need to book in for an early scan and asked me who had told me I could do. Then when I was sat in tears infront of him telling him WHY it would make me feel better to have the confirmation from bloods he asked me what happened with my last miscarriage which made me completely break down.

So I'm now sat sobbing at home feeling extremely frustrated. Once I've stopped crying I am going to ring back and complain but right now I can't keep anything together

Fia256 · 31/08/2017 09:55

Oh and he also told me because I've had two healthy children, even if this pregnancy ends in miscarriage it's more than likely bad luck. How can any dr say that to someone who has already lost 3 in a row!!!!

DragonsandDungeons · 31/08/2017 09:57

Fia I am so angry! That's such bad treatment. I'm so sorry this happened to you. Flowers

Bubble04 · 31/08/2017 10:02

@Fia256 how awful. I truly don't know what to say. How is possible for someone to work in a caring profession with so little empathy? I would definitely get in touch with the practise and ask to speak to a manager once you've calmed down. Is there any way to request a different dr next time? Thinking of youFlowers

Fia256 · 31/08/2017 10:22

It's taken an hour for me to stop crying. The last time I saw that particular dr he told me my heart condition symptoms were all in my head. Turned out after paying privately to see the cardiologist they in fact were NOT in my head!!!

So I rang and complained and spoke to a really lovely receptionist. She said she will pass on my complaint to the manager when she is in and is arranging for another Dr to call me back today. I'm so upset I've been treated the way I have by him once again

AlexsMum89 · 31/08/2017 10:36

Oh @fia256 you're really going through the mill emotionally. Loads of love being sent your way xxx

Gudgyx · 31/08/2017 12:25

Hugs for you Fia, that doc needs a good kick up the backside for making you feel like that!!

AF due on Tuesday here, I've been symptom spotting a bit but not getting too excited. Nausea, dizziness, crying at absolutely nothing, my face has broken out like mad, my appetite is through the roof, stomach cramps at one point which I don't get unless just before AF. None of this is usual for me so of course I'm excited!

OH won't let me test until AF is late so I might need to do a fly one on Monday to check!

EsmeGNU · 31/08/2017 12:31

Oh @Fia256 I'm so sorry! That's just dreadful. I hope the Doctor that calls you back is more empathic.

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 31/08/2017 12:47

Oh goodness @Fia256. That's awful. I'm so sorry you're going through this.

Poptart4 · 31/08/2017 13:37

9dpo and bfn :( I know it's still really early but go's it's depressing seeing that super white teat. Not even a hint of a squinted.

PabloEscobarlo · 31/08/2017 13:41

Huge hugs @Fia256 be kind to yourself xx

Still loss of symptoms here, I've got no cm at all so I must be out?

Poptart4 · 31/08/2017 13:42

Damn predict a text. What I meant to say was - God it's depressing seeing that super white test. Not even a hint of a squinter line.

RandomUsernameHere · 31/08/2017 14:22

So sorry that you're going through this @Fia256 and that you had such a horrible experience at the Dr. Good on you for complaining. Hope the other Dr is more helpful and that you get some answers soon x

felicityheather · 31/08/2017 14:34

@Poptart4 I'm the same. 9dpo and a predictable negative. Stupidly disappointed even though it's the obvious answer!

Fia256 · 31/08/2017 14:44

So got a phone call from a different dr who was lovely. She said as it's early days, to wait till Monday and test again. She said if it is still a very light bfp/negative then to come in and they will check the hcg with bloods, and if it's a better positive she will refer me to the epu for a 6 week scan.

She also said if any bleeding happens then to ring and leave a message for her and she will ring me back.

Although they haven't let me have bloods I feel a lot more supported with whatever happens. She also said if bleeding starts and the bloods come back it's a miscarriage then she will then refer me to have investigations. Will be putting in a written complaint about the other dr though
