Very faint tests what gives?

Currently on CD40 averages out to be 34. Took a Tesco test on cd 35&36 - vv faint
Took a internet test with 10miu cycle day 37 vv faint

I then waited until yesterday (cd 40) and got the same v v faint line. Hasn't gotten an stronger or anything.

Went to doctor with the faint tests and he has referred me so am I actually pregnant or are these tests just evap?

Anyone with the same story would be great! Never had this with my first two as I got my BFP before period was due.

Ty!

First image is the first Tesco.
Second is the finternet cheapy.
Third is the Tesco from yesterday.

I'm not a fan of Tesco tests. The last one you posted is quite a thin line which could be indicative of an evap but the ic is definitely a positive. When you say he's referred you, do you mean he's referred you to the midwife?

Basically what I'm saying is, you wouldn't get 3 evaps with different tests so you must be pregnant. Try not to stress about the lines getting darker, that doesn't indicate anything. If you want some peace of mind, try a FRER, they're my go to and are designed to test early so you should get a nice dark line.

I hope all goes well in your pregnancy. Try to relax Smile

gabrielle1201 · 12/08/2017 12:05

Thank you for your advice! Yes doctor has referred me to the midwife for a 12 week scan, I told him my concern about them being faint and he said 'so you got a positive then'. I'm only concerned as my last period was July 3rd and I thought the lines would be stronger. All lines appeared within a minute too, so it wasn't sitting. Thank you! I bought FRER today coming on Monday just guna relax and let it be.

What do you mean ic ?

NetflixandBill · 12/08/2017 12:12

Ic = internet cheapies

emvy · 12/08/2017 12:13

ic = internet cheapie! Sorry!

I understand you'd expect darker lines, I'd be worried too and that's only natural but if the lines appeared within the time frame and there are lines there, then that's that! It's a bfp! Smile good idea to relax and let it be x

HCantThinkOfAUsername · 12/08/2017 12:14

Could you get a clear blue one which will say pregnant or not pregnant?

sororitynoise · 12/08/2017 12:15

Those are BFPS! all of them!

Threenme · 12/08/2017 12:16

I got 3 negatives and was 8 week pregnant. One didn't change until next day! Congrats I'd say you 100% are!

gabrielle1201 · 12/08/2017 12:23

I did a clear blue on cd 39 and I got not pregnant. I even went and did a test with my friend who isn't pregnant to compare and hers is negative and not even a line in sight! I just don't understand is all. Going to get a FRER today and take it and tomorrow morning to see what they say.

I think if it's a thin blue line and not thick then it's an evaporation line. I had that with Sainsbury's own cheap tests and I was definitely not pregnant. They shouldn't even sell tests that can do that, makes you think you are and then find out your not! Buy a first response test or clearblue digital.

gabrielle1201 · 12/08/2017 12:31

If it were an evap. Why would it not show on my friends test.?

OP posts:
emvy · 12/08/2017 12:38

Not all tests show an evap line every time. If you're only getting a faint bfp, then that will explain the clear blue digital result - they test levels of like 25 or something - really quite high. FRER's test levels of 6. You'll know for sure when you get that but i really think you are as, as I said before, you wouldn't have been unlucky enough to have 3 evaps and the internet one is most definitely positive.

gabrielle1201 · 12/08/2017 12:38

Also, can you get an evap within a minute of testing? That's when I checked

OP posts:
emvy · 12/08/2017 12:41

I'm not sure to be honest. Please try to relax and not stress about an evap. You have at least one positive, if not three. The doctor was confident enough to refer you. You are pregnant!

gabrielle1201 · 12/08/2017 12:52

Ty for the advice! Going to do a FR to keep me at ease and see how I get on! Ty a lot ! X

berrypicking · 12/08/2017 13:06

I got a thin evap within a minute or two, I did another one and same thing but it actually disappeared after ten minutes or so. Lots of complaints about it when I typed into google about those cheap supermarket tests. If it's a thick line it's positive if it's skinny then it's not a positive.

gabrielle1201 · 12/08/2017 13:47

Yeah I'm thinking that too, FRER was clear neg. wish the period would come if there's no pos.

OP posts:
Elland · 12/08/2017 14:58

You would be unlucky to have evaps on the three tests you've taken!

If you have another FRER try it with your first wee of the day tomorrow.

This is my Tesco positive test to compare.

Yours looks much thicker than mine defiantly! I was told to take a cb digital each week until period comes or the appointment x

IHopeYourCakeIsShit · 12/08/2017 16:35

I can see it Grin

gabrielle1201 · 12/08/2017 16:46

Use the checker free app! I can see a shadow now but I can't see a line as such! Put in behind something white usually that helps! X
