Not sure if I should start new thread for this? Is there one open already?

Thanks. There's definitely something going on down there. Sigh it does piss me off because before all this I had a perfect cycle.

Funny enough, when I was 18, I had very irregular cycles. I was diagnosed with pcos. Then I went on the pill until I got pregnant with my son. On all subsequent scans and tests there is no evidence of pcos. My cycles after my son was born were perfect.

That brings us to today...

Thanks guys I think I will stick around here if that's OK.. After 2 miscarriages I'm really scared about getting my hopes up..
Question.. Can itchy skin be a symptom in early pregnancy.. I am only about 4 weeks.. Being that I have taken anti histamine daily for as long as I can remember I'm thinking it could just be a reaction to not taking them - I haven't taken them in a few days now.. I don't know why but I just had a feeling not to take them even before yesterday's positive..
Anne thank you for the article.. What she said is very very true!! At least for me!
Lime that sounds positive! I hope it is a good start and your cycles will now get back to normal..
Yellow and emvy I agree it is so hard after miscarriage.. One I thought I could deal with the idea or was bad luck... But now I have had two at very similar times I'm scared I won't get past that point.. For me last time I only relaxed when I saw the heartbeat.. And that joy was taken away just one week later when it had stopped... I'm trying very hard to tell myself that all I can do is try to stay positive and hope for the best..
I've written this message at least 4 times in the past 24 hours and each time I've deleted it.. I don't want to jinx things (I'm well aware of how ridiculous that sounds!!)

yellowfrontdoor · 12/07/2017 20:39

@Smurf123 please believe I'm sending you so many good thoughts right now. Please do stick around, if I get a bfp one day I would want to stay on the thread too.
I can't imagine how you're feeling right now (because if it was me I'd be terrified), but we're all right behind you Flowers

emvy · 12/07/2017 22:12

Lime, spotting has always been a part of my cycle, even after mc bleeding! Before mc, I would spot the first day of my af and the last couple. After mc, I spotted for weeks after mc bleeding as such stopped. Then after the first mc, af had no spotting at the start and then pretty much 6-7 days of it at the end! I still fell pregnant again though, even with that silly spotting! Didn't end well of course, but still! Not had af after the second mc yet so can't comment on that I'm afraid! I have everything crossed it'll kick in properly asap!

Smurf, I don't blame you at all. I am keeping everything crossed x

AnneLovesGilbert · 12/07/2017 22:41

Just a thought on aspirin for anyone planning to start who's still ttc, my periods have been truly epic since I started it. Might be a change in my cycle since series of mcs but I panicked so much I called the GP a couple of months ago and she thought the aspirin might be making the flow much heavier. It wasn't making me bleed more but I had 5 or 6 days worth in 2 and it literally poured. It was also very chunky which she said happens when the hormone that liquifies the blood you pass when you're on didn't have time to do it as I was losing it so quickly so I was passing big chunks of lining. She put me on a coagulant which seems to have lessened it and I obvs can't take that at the same time as aspirin as they're doing opposite things, so I take a break from it till af is gone.

The GP said she was no expert on this stuff and I can't prove the different periods have been due to that but it seems likely so something to bear in mind. I wish someone had warned me! It's not dangerous at all, I don't mean that. But I was suddenly hsnivg periods which nearly levelled me.

AnneLovesGilbert · 12/07/2017 22:46

Fingers and toes crossed af kicks in lime. Don't worry if it's different to normal, and hope cramps aren't too sore.

smurf, you're the loveliest person and I'm desperate this one sticks and you get your perfect healthy baby. You know you're welcome here for as long as you like xxx

The good news stories help so much and it's the best to see people moving on in their journey.

I'm a massive fan of FF. It appeals to my neediness and desperation to understand what the fuck is going on in there.

Also picked up a new book on taking charge of your fertility. Can't hurt! The crazier I go sometimes trying to second guess it all the more I remember I've conceived 3 times with minimal effort and once years a hobby accident while on the friggin pill! But it's not happening for us at the moment and it's starting to get to me.

NoCatsHere · 13/07/2017 13:13

Lime you might be like me and need a couple of months to settle down. Even if it's not your normal period at least it's here now and you can move forward. I used to have 'perfect' cycles too and these last two have thrown me massively. Hopefully next cycle will be third time lucky...

smurf we definitely all understand that fear, I defo will have it too if I'm ever lucky enough to get pregnant again. Please do stick around and chat about any fears you're having. We are still all here for you and you're a good reminder of the positive outcome that can happen!

yellowfrontdoor · 13/07/2017 13:59

Afternoon everyone 👋🏻

Went to see my gp today, he's signed me off for another week and also prescribed 5mg of folic acid plus 75mg of aspirin.
Been reading up on the folic acid and apparently it all helps towards blood flow? At this point I'll take anything!
He was really good, while I cried at his desk!

Feeling a lot more positive now, feeling like I'm taking control of a situation always helps me. Now just not to get too obsessive...

AnneLovesGilbert · 13/07/2017 16:44

Glad you're feeling better yellow and well done on the extra time off. Nothing is more important than your health.

Interesting about the folic! I mentioned it to my consultant who said it was for people etc over a certain age or weight. It's magical stuff though, meant to even help alzheimers. Did he explain why?

Go easy, rest when you need to and so glad your mood is on the up too x

yellowfrontdoor · 13/07/2017 16:59

@AnneLovesGilbert he said that a 5mg dose is commonly given to women undergoing fertility treatment & he said it couldn't hurt to try it.
I am 35 very nearly 36 and as far as weight goes I'm pretty average, wouldn't say I'm obese or anything. He did re-iterate that two mc is still very likely to be really bad luck as opposed to anything more sinister, that's made me feel more hopeful today too, I feel like I'm being pro-active.
Although, I am in a lot of pain today, lots of period-type pain. Trying to rest up with my hot water bottle as much as possible.

PossibiliTea · 13/07/2017 17:55

Right ladies please can I have your opinion?

I'm sorry I've not caught up for a bit but hope you are all doing ok Flowers

I went private and they gave me the green light to TTC, he had all my scans in front of him and said whatever is still there should pass with next cycle, I had that then started TTC...

I still attended my NHS appointment where I was told I would see a consultant. I've just seen a junior doctor and she said I'll need further investigation even though she hadn't seen the scans herself and couldn't tell me anything about it. Sent me away with a leaflet about a hysteroscopy and not to TTC before this. WWYD? I had MVA in march! Totally confused.

So sorry to hog the thread x

PossibiliTea · 13/07/2017 17:56

Yellow, sounds like things are going in the right direction, sorry you are still in pain. Be very kind to yourself and take it easy as best you can Flowers

emvy · 13/07/2017 19:01

Yellow, so glad you're feeling more positive today and the doctor was helpful. Sending all the positive energy your way to keep you feeling chilled x

*Possibilitea, very confusing! Unfortunately, it's often the way that private and NHS advice doesn't match up. I would guess that they don't want you to fall pregnant again and then have to reschedule the hysteroscopy as I guess they can't do that if you're pregnant. I don't know for sure though. Others may have some more helpful advice but I guess it depends which you feel you want to prioritise right now - ttc or having the hysteroscopy.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 13/07/2017 19:36

Hi guys, sorry to hear many of you are still having a tough time. Hugs to you yellow and sorry that it's so ambiguous for you @PossibiliTea ! That seems quite weird.

Anne - I've stopped taking my daily aspirin now as freaking out about pouring blood! Mine tends to be 2 days heavy then nothing anyway.

Congrats to @FresasAndFrambuesas and @Smurf123 !! Amazing news. Hope you aren't too anxious x

Well I'm CD27 and 8/9dpo today. This feels like forever. This morning I had real AF type cramps which resulted in .. no AF. Boobs slightly sore tonight and the constant backache continues. Temp a bit lower this morning but still well above cover line. I know I need to wait till the weekend but I feel like I can't!! Cycles are usually 30 days but I know I ovulated late and who knows after mc (I've had 1 real af since mc completed but I don't know how long that cycle actually was obviously).

StepAwayFromGoogle · 13/07/2017 20:07

Yellow, so glad to hear you are feeling a bit more positive. I think once you start doing something it does feel like you are back in some sort of control. Or at least giving yourself the best chance you can. I'm on high dose (5mg) folic acid too. On nobody's advice but it's apparently routine in America and studies have shown it can reduce miscarriage. Like you say, I'll try anything!

Tea, that is highly confusing and very frustrating. I'd wait for the hysteroscopy just to be on the safe side. If it's any help, I went private for a scan and also had one on the NHS and they were so different. I'm also seeing a gynaecologist at one hospital and a consultant at the RMC. Apart from a few of the same blood tests, they've both suggested different things. Doesn't fill you with confidence.

Grumpy, fingers crossed for you. We are on a roll after all Wink

StepAwayFromGoogle · 13/07/2017 20:11

Oh, nocats, meant to say - my periods have never been the same since my miscarriages. Think it's just one of those things, albeit annoying x

Lime19 · 13/07/2017 20:20

Day 2 of af for me. It's getting heavier with a few clots but still not normal for me. More than spotting now. It's definitely af though, no denying that. I'm so glad it's here!

OP posts:
PossibiliTea · 13/07/2017 20:45

Lime finally! It will take a bit to settle but at least it's here! Wine

Lime19 · 13/07/2017 21:23

I'm having a bit of a panic now... so as I mentioned, I have these cysts, probably nothing bad and will probably go on their own.

Now should I wait a few months before I start try again or go for it this month...

What if I'm lucky enough to get pregnant and the cysts turn out to be an issue?!

OP posts:
StepAwayFromGoogle · 13/07/2017 21:32

Lime, what did the doctors say about the cysts? I'm presuming if they would cause a problem they'd tell you not to ttc?

PossibiliTea · 13/07/2017 21:40

Lime, my colleague is 13 weeks and has a large cyst, they are keeping an eye on it but really not worried. If the doctors say they will probably go on their own, if it was me I would TTC but also get an appointment to just ask any questions you are unsure of.

MouseLove · 13/07/2017 21:42

Nope cysts are normal on your ovaries. Go for it. It's where you release an egg. I had one during my mmc pregnancy. It had nothing to do with my mmc though. Sonographer said it was nothing to worry about, completely normal.

Is that the kinda cysts you have?

TheGrumpySquirrel · 13/07/2017 21:54

I think this is a Sainsbury's false positive but I do have sore nipples!

We're ovulating again, so let's jump our men. It's TTC after miscarriage thread 11
Lime19 · 13/07/2017 22:04

I was told that it wouldn't be a problem. It's just a shame that I'm not in 100 percent condition before starting again. I'm going to try I think AND make a gp appointment I think to double check and get another opinion. And with my gp not that shitty one I saw a few weeks back.

Oooh grumpy... are you sure it's a false test? Worth another test tomorrow? With first wee of the day?

OP posts:
yellowfrontdoor · 13/07/2017 22:11

@TheGrumpySquirrel how many dpo are you?

Like Lime said; frer with first wee tomorrow? Will be keeping it all crossed for you xx
