Get me a straitjacket...I can't stop testing my pee because I've lost my mind.

In a nutshell;
-Been with hubby now 10years, married for 2
-Decided to start trying for a baby
-Never been on the pill, all hail the wonders of condoms
-I ovulated on the 4th June and baby danced on both 4th and 5th
-Im taking STUPID tests every single day (cheapo amazon and SD)
-all were negative but of course I'm testing TOO EARLY
-and breathe...

I need some direction ladies. Why am I feeling so intensely crazy? I can't even wait another 5 days till period is due. Okay so I feel some weird symptoms, like a period pain type of niggling pain every night, a silly tonne of flatulence and hysteria. I just can't stop testing.

I even had a very vivid and incredibly real dream this morning that 2 lines appeared. So I tested but still a BFN.

How can I stop myself from testing every day? Has anyone else been a mad woman and done this?

So after all that.. I went and got a cheapie from Tesco.. BFN. Sad period is due on Wed or Thursday.. so I guess I'm out. (Sigh) it would have shown by now I bet.. unless it's coz I used a cheapie blue dye instead of like a first response or something.

I guess the one good thing is I can't wait to have a glass of wine! haha I have been trying to hold off on the Booze while I was waiting for a result..

getting all the signs today.. crampy stomach.. loose bowel (sorry for tmi haha).. moody as hell... massive spot on my chin.. Now just a waiting game!

So I'm still waiting for AF to come.. read on the internet that if you are pregnant it will come up on an ovulation test. So I have a boots cheapy in the cupboard and thought what the hell.. I will give it a shot.

Now I can't remember .. if nothing shows then it means no ovulation.. or if I get a faint line does it mean no ovulation. I've just confused myself now.

I think anything other than a strong line means no ovulation, although mine showed faint the day after I'd got the positive on the ovulation and then faded as the day went on. I took that as it meant the hormone level was fading.

When is AF due? X

AF was due today.. had normal symptoms but nothing yet. Normally if I use these ovulation sticks before due to ovulate I don't see anything.. which is why I got so confused I guess. Clutching at short straws. Lol

So i went to B+m last night and bought a couple of tests. They only cost £1.50 so not too worried if i get a negative.

Tested this morning... BFN.. i feel sad.. but at the same time I think i kinda knew it would have been that result. BBT dropped ever so slightly again this morning so i imagine the witch will show her face later today.

Also had a severe case of the munchies last night.. which is normally a good indication. Blasted hell... WHY is it taking so long?!

Someone said to me the other day that if you doubt your body ... then it will not work. I dunno if there is truth behind that.. or if she is just telling me that so i don't feel so fed up. ha! But in reality.. its difficult not to doubt that there is something wrong. :(

Pass me the chocolate. haha

Sorry pink I feel pretty indifferent now about the whole thing not doing OPK again this cycle as husband away for a week soon and no doubt that will be when I ovulate! Although am CD 9 and starting to feel a bit horny so that is probably a good sign Blush
Hope you are ok and taking it easy/eating chocolate/drinking gin xxx

thanks @Cookie1831.. It just feels so unfair.. and i haven't really been trying for that long in the grand scheme of things! Most couples will take between 6-12 months to conceive so really.. I am the norm. (I guess.)

I am trying to not let TTC take over my life.. DH and I have decided that we will infact go on our long haul holiday in February. No more "but what if I am pregnant and can't fly?" We will just have to plan for these things.. get returnable flights (if there is such a thing), deposit only hotels etc... cross that bridge when we get to it sort of thing.

This month is almost a no go.. Hen party just after my fertile period.. and then a lodge weekend with a HOT TUB and a massage booked for smack bang in the middle of my TWW. Do we just not try this month? or do we carry on as normal and I just don't drink at the hen do (boring!) and not go in the hot tub.

(so much for not letting TTC take over my life! haha)

I think...enjoy the hen do and lodge. Keep trying, be more casual (no temps or mucus checking) if you want to relax a bit this month.

I don't think alcohol can harm the baby until implanted and sharing nutrients and such? (Have not fact checked this though...)

And just read that the reason for avoiding hot tubs is because the baby can't sweat to cool down in the heat, and shouldn't affect implantation?

I very much think you should enjoy your plans.

CD37. No sign of AF. No sign of anything! Going to test with FMU tomorrow. Feeling gross but sore throat and snotty so looks like I've caught a bug.

Yeah.. I know what you are saying is right @JemDoughnut but there is that small part of me that goes.. but if im not tracking it.. wont i miss the small window of opportunity.. you know?

I agree it won't effect it at all get drunk and get in that hot tub!! Not much happening here CD 15 not been using opk or doing anything need to up my game on the dtd though did CD 10 and 12 but as I had a 6 week we last cycle probably not even ovulating yet anyways! Hope everybody is having a nice week x

I did. BFN again. I'm on CD43 now! I will test again on Saturday, so I'll have given it another week, but I'm pretty sure it's just a long, annoying cycle!

Ah jem so annoying! I am in the same boat as you but managed to squeeze another dtd in last night on CD15 and checked cervix today and it feels soft and open so feeling a bit hopeful again damn it why didn't I use OPK this month!!!

AF is due on Saturday next week but came on Friday...only for 3 days. So then i convinced myself it was implantation but I think it was too heavy. I did a test and it was negative but i think it's too early to show anyway, is that right? My periods at likely to be all over the place because I only came off the pill 3 months ago after 15 years. Bah i feel like i cant read my body at all!

How long do you normally bleed for? Knowing me I would test again in a few days anyway but I am hopeless!

Well I'm going back 15 years to when I had normal periods and they were about 5-6 days. But having been on the pill so long they were much shorter. My last period (and first off the pill) was 5 days.

I think i read somewhere that it takes a few cycles for your body to get back into a normal routine after coming off the pill... so you will probably find that this is the reason for this period being so short.

Me.. I am day 12 today.. had to check as I am not in tune with this cycle at all! Haven't been using OPK's.. no checking.. no symptom spotting. I'm feeling very meh about it all. My husband and I are just going to DTD when we feel like it and I am going to try and not stress over it.

Have been focusing more on the weight loss (lost 2lbs this week.. yey!) and just go from there.

So.. hen do is probably cancelled this weekend! But to be honest.. the stress I am under at the moment at work is probably just as bad as if I was drinking! haha Right in the middle of my fertile period. bah! lol

hey ho.. onto the next month we go. I'm just trying not to blow my top and scream at someone at the moment. I think meditation and hot baths (but not too hot just incase) will be my saviour over the next week.

Hope everyone else is doing okay?

@JemDoughnut any update?
@Cookie1831 think of the money you (and I ) are saving by not using OPK's this month! :)

Ha ha yes there is the money but I have already spent it Smile I have booked myself a spa day next Friday (trying to tempt fate even more) so day 21 and I stupidly did a test this morning as woke with a headache which is unusual for me unless have had wine which I haven't and with my first I had headaches in the 3-4 days leading up to bfp, used a first response and was negative but just been for a wee and have pinky discharge which is most unusual for me so of course am now telling myself it's an implantation bleed and will stupidly get my hopes up again!! Damn me and my eternal optimism!! Well done on the 2 lbs pink
