Hi,

This is all very new to me so would like to make some TTC buddies :)

Let me tell you a little about myself:
Been with my SO for 2 years now and we're getting married in 31 days! I'm 26 (nearly 27) and my hubby2b is 35. We bought a house last year and feel like now is a good time to start a family!

This is my first cycle and I'm really excited but trying not to get my hopes up as seen that it's harder than it looks.

Any advice would be appreciated :) xxx

dinosaur hope you had a great holiday :) I really hope you get your BFP!! How exciting Smile

flamingo so sorry AF showed up! Like you said, at least you get to drink now Smile cancel your smear and enjoy a glass of wine!

I'm getting cramps and a weird sharp stabbing pain in my lower left abdomen. I've gone from being convinced I must be pregnant to being convinced AF is on her way! Hopefully I'll have an answer on Friday Confused

Just catching up, you're all so sweet and supportive Smile

Sorry for everyone that got AF, it's a pain watching and waiting and she still comes like clockwork. Agree with other posters about the drinking tho, at least that's something lol.

I've got 6 days to go now, woke up felt like I'd been hit by a truck. Wish I didn't have to go to work right now.

mrsstrobe I've done those tests before when I've had a scare, never got another line so fingers crossed for you!

dinosaur I've got the same bloating and weird pulling feeling but yours sounds super intense. Good luck.

flamingo wax or smear? What hurts less! Grin

How's everyone doing today? I'm a bit nervous about this whole thing, just want to know either way.

MummyGofboys · 13/06/2017 08:54

Period is due to arrive tomorrow. Stroll feeling sick, sore boobs, cramps, back pain and shattered. I normally only get cramps and tired before period and had these symptoms for a week and a half. No tests in the house on purpose because of the negatives Iv had. Will test Friday if it hasn't arrived yet. @Clickypenguin02 how long have you been trying? @Mrstobe90 not long until Friday. Have you done another test? Xx

Mrstobe90 · 13/06/2017 12:34

mummyG I so hope you get your positive! I'll keep everything crossed for you :)
And no, I haven't done another test. Going to wait until Saturday :) too scared about getting a negative!

MummyGofboys · 13/06/2017 12:46

@Mrstobe90 oh I hope you get a positive too. It's horrible getting negatives 😩😩 you still getting cramps? Xx

AdrianaWeatherwax · 13/06/2017 13:16

Wax or smear, ooh lucky you!

Hi penguin :-)

Pulling sensation sounds promising!

Hope we see some BFP's

Clickypenguin02 · 13/06/2017 14:30

This is first month mummyg ! Aaah.

I've been off the pill for two years though, so fingers crossed it won't take too long.

It will be mine and my OH's first we're both a bit nervous about being able to have kids, we're both 29.

This thread is a godsend! Otherwise I'd be driving myself crazy.

Not sure if tmi but oh and I use condoms so once in a while we have a scare and I POAS and SS so much then.

It's weird to actively be trying now but exciting.

Mrstobe90 · 13/06/2017 15:26

MummyG I agree! Getting negatives in the worst! Yeh, I'm still getting cramps and sharp stabbing pains so who knows! I want to be pregnant so bad but keep thinking it'll just be AF! I really really really hope she doesn't show!

Penguin I know what you mean! DH and I have had a couple of scares and I would POAS loads so it's weird that now we're actively trying! For some reason, when having a scare, it felt more like a BFP was possible than it does now aha

@Clickypenguin02 @Mrstobe90 fingers crossed. It's a tough one. I'm so tempted to get a test and do one 😂😂 this ttc business has sent me loopy. Xx

MooChops89 · 13/06/2017 16:43

AF arrived today, first one since implant came out almost 4 weeks ago. And weirdly bang on time according to my period tracker app that has been ticking along on my phone for the last few years - hoping that means things have gone back to normal!

MummyGofboys · 13/06/2017 16:46

@MooChops89 that's good that it has gone back to Norma now. Fingers crossed for this cycle xx

Clickypenguin02 · 13/06/2017 18:15

I know I can't stop thinking about it. I've got a clear blue but I promised myself that I wouldn't test until I've missed my period so at least I'll know for sure.

McTufty · 13/06/2017 19:32

flamingo

Sorry to hear AF is here - you've earned shedloads of cocktails on holiday! Make sure you prioritise that smear!

mrstobe those symptoms sound very promising - fingers crossed for Friday!

When are you due to test? It's great you've been off the pill for a while so hopefully you know your cycle. I'm totally nervous about being able to conceive too. My husband (who is a doctor) isn't nervous at all, he says most people can and I'm healthy so shouldn't be a problem, but I just can't help but think what if...

moochops89 bizarrely getting AF is probably good if you're just off birth control, means you won't be one of those people who have to wait months for their cycle to start up again! I'm just in limbo waiting for an unspecified period of time for a sign my cycle has started to kick in! Then again it's only been 28 days tomorrow since my last pill so hopefully not too much longer.

I've just bought a load of the cheapy ovulation sticks on amazon, as I have nothing else to go on I will just use one every day until I get a surge (they're like 20p each so it seems wasteful but it will help me feel like I'm doing something while I wait). I have also bought a thermometer and a load of supplements said to boost fertility e.g. Royal jelly and maca root. I got yesterday a load of coenzyme q10, vitamin D/E etc.

I don't know how much difference it makes but I want to maximise our chances!

Baby dust to all x

Mrstobe90 · 13/06/2017 20:32

I got my BFP!! Grin I can hardly believe it! I don't want to jinx it though so just going to take it easy and try not to get too excited!

McTufty · 13/06/2017 20:39

Oh wow that's amazing!!!! So many congratulations! A wedding AND a baby - what an exciting time for you!

MummyGofboys · 13/06/2017 20:48

Oh my god!!!!! @Mrstobe90 congratulations!!!! Xxx

Mrstobe90 · 13/06/2017 21:22

Thanks guys!! I'm in total shock!
I just couldn't wait anymore and wanted to POAS so bought a Clearblue digital and it says I'm 1-2 weeks. Super early days and I'm not gonna lie, I am quite nervous that it won't stick but I'm hoping for the best :)
I feel so thankful that it happened on the first try.
I did legs up after each try and then lay down for about an hour and day before ovulation, we did it twice.
Hoping you get your BFP's and hope they all stick!!!!

MummyGofboys · 13/06/2017 21:47

McTufty · 13/06/2017 22:00

Aaaah congratulations Mrstobe!! That is wonderful news :-) yes, please stick around! Smile

McTufty I hear the Q10 is the most important (makes me think of hair adverts?) if any of it will work for us 😂
