Come and join me in this new thread. I want a least one graduate per week and no ttcing to take longer than two months for everyone here!!

OP posts:
johno · 21/07/2004 21:11

i didnt have any sickness or any thing, i still had periods till i was four months gone

Tex111 · 22/07/2004 07:22

Aku, I can understand you not wanting to get too excited but I agree with the others and it does sound very positive. I think if you explain the situation to your GP and let him/her know that you're very concerned you should get an early scan. I hope you're celebrating soon!

Staceyk, I wouldn't worry about not feeling very sick. It's still early days so you may get a lot of morning sickness later. I was about 10 weeks with DS when started getting sick. And then again, you may not get it all and still be fine. I have a friend who never threw up once during both of her pregnancies and she has two gorgeous babies.

Chacha, yep, got up and went straight to the loo and that was the only time we BDed that month so it must've been the magic night! Just checked Taking Charge of Your Fertility and she recommends BDing every day of eggwhite CM. I think that's probably what we'll do this month. Good luck to you!

AF finally arrived yesterday. I feel so incredibly relieved and now we can start trying again! I'm pulling out all the stops and using every 'trick' in the book. I've bought some grapefruit juice and will be having a glass every morning (apparently good for CM), will start taking cough medicine around O, temping, OPKs, the lot! Anyone know any more tips? Any old wives tales? Anyone tried BDing on that big chalk man's willy???

katierocket · 22/07/2004 08:14

gutted - AF turned up today

malinki · 22/07/2004 08:36

Wish me luck ladies, back to see the Gynie today about my treatment, already had a letter from the IVF clinic telling me I'm on the list, so I'm dreading what my Gynie has to say.

mrsflowerpot · 22/07/2004 08:40

lots and lots of luck today malinki - let us know how you get on!

Sorry about AF katierocket hope you're OK.

Staceyk · 22/07/2004 08:41

Wishing you loads of luck as always, don't dread it, you never know.

Let us know how you get on.

Azure · 22/07/2004 08:57

Sorry to hear about AF Katierocket . Best of luck with the gynae today Malinki. Tex111 - wow, you're really going for it! CD6 for me today - am taking zinc and Evening Primrose oil until OV plus pregnancy vitamins, and am trying to get DH to take zinc. I may try Bding every day around OV time, but don't know where I'll get the energy from.

katierocket · 22/07/2004 09:39

good luck malinki.

I feel like I'm being selfish as do have one DS (nearly 3) and have only been trying 2 months but can't help feeling so upset. No-one to talk to about it either as all friends are on second/third babies now.

aku · 22/07/2004 10:02

Wishing all on this thread the best of luck. I got back from work yesterday and my mum had bought me some maternity clothes - so I'll take that as a sign and stay positive from now on.

Hoping there is more good news on this thread, will keep checking back to see how you are doing.

it's great being able to read about how others cope and all the encouragement you get here is just wonderful.

Congratulations aku. Does this mean we have 2 graduates this week??? This is a very successful thread already.
Sorry to hear about AF katierocket. I'm only on my 4th cycle ttc so I know what you mean about feeling guilty for being so upset. I think once you decide to have another, you just want to be pg immediately. I'm on CD12 now so we're opting for the every 2nd night method this month. See if that works!!!
Hope the appointment goes well Malinki. Keep us informed.

bluestar · 22/07/2004 11:05

Haven't been about much recently and although am still ttc (approaching the bd time again!!) my head is somewhere else at the moment as have just found that I am being made redundant and our whole office is closing so all a bit emotional tbh. Hoping that in the midst of all of this stuff, I can find a way to get some good news! Will try and log on from time to time.

Well done aku

BeckiF · 22/07/2004 11:31

Hi ladies - now upto 2 Metformin a day. I have to get upto 6 a day, so I'm taking it slowly. Still no AF ... hoping that I don't hit menopause early! Good luck to those on the ttc bus, I'm still hopeful of doing it myself!

miranda2 · 22/07/2004 11:45

Ok, I'm getting organised now! AFter my very frustrating 6 week cycle when I found it really annoying not knowing what was going on, I have finally got myself a thermometer and a bunch of OPKs and now I mean business!!!!
Unfortunatley we are going to be on holiday with some friends at what is likely to be the appropriate time next week - may have to be very unsubtle and tell them to go for a walk a couple of evenings!

Azure · 22/07/2004 12:06

Bluestar, so sorry to hear about your redundancy - was it a complete shock? Are you going to look for a new job straight away or take some time off? Miranda2, sounds like you have a good action plan. BeckiF, well done for increasing your Metformin.

OP posts:
bluestar · 22/07/2004 12:33

Azure, yes complete shock. Will serve out some notice to take advantage of redundancy package and try and time a new job for the end of the old. Trying to get my head round it really. Need lots of emotional smileys!!!

muddaofsuburbia · 22/07/2004 13:50

Hello everyone! I'm joining you now. I've got a 22 mth old ds and it's definitely time to think about a wee bruv or sis.
Pill packet is put away and preggy vitamins packet is open. We're off on a fortnight's holiday tomorrow at just the right time, so will keep you posted.

Will take me a while to get used to all your ttc abbreviations and technical speak. Good luck to everyone - love mudda

Cobweb · 22/07/2004 14:49

Congratulations aku, 2nd graduate. Chuffed for you both this week. Its such lovely news.

Decided to wait until my AF and then ttc again. So watch this space xxx

SKM · 22/07/2004 16:25

I HAVE HAD 2 FAINT POSITIVE TESTS SINCE 15TH JULY , ONE CLEAR BLUE, ONE FIRST RESPONSE, ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS AND HOW FAINT WAS FAINT

SKM · 22/07/2004 16:25

Sorry about uppercase,

ChaCha · 22/07/2004 21:55

Hey Bluestar, I'm sorry to hear about your redundancy but you never know, might be a good sign. Hoping that you get a BFP really soon - and hoping that you continue to post here - you encourage me.

Hi BeckiF - how are things?

Azure · 23/07/2004 08:21

SKM - erm, sounds like you're pregnant!!! How are you today?

OP posts:
SKM · 23/07/2004 10:24

Feeling fine today, Thanx apart from all the not knowing!! Have you had any any experiences with faint lines

gothicmama · 23/07/2004 10:29

blustar I was told about my reundancy and I am sure the relief of leaving helped us conceive dd 2 weeks later after 7 years of trying so babydust alround and good luck

Azure · 23/07/2004 10:32

SKM - remember, a line is a line, however faint. If it starts off strong and then gets faint and disappears, that indicates there is no longer a pregnancy. Normally, though, the line would get stronger. When did you take your last test? Do you plan to take another?
