imoAstathe 2ww is the worst part of TTC i think. Plus i am a very impatient person and find myself googling all sorts Confused xx

ImoAsta · 25/04/2017 18:08

@youngmummy3105 The Ovia app is quite good, I've been using that one too. I used some OPKs but took me a while to get my head around them. Smile
I used the Tesco ones too. I did get some from Amazon but they didn't work very well!

young a box lasts me 2 cycles usually. I start testing CD 8/10 and have been getting my smiley faces around CD12/13. Only been using them since January though. When I had DC1 I used the monitor which is expensive but I conceived in 3 cycles with that. I gave it away when I got pregnant again as didn't think I'd need it but then miscarried in January and now I wish I hadn't given it away!

ImoAsta · 25/04/2017 18:10

@xTTCTamsterx ohhh me too! So impatient, I've been symptom spotting all day. X

HansSolo22 · 25/04/2017 18:14

crazy good to hear you're so positive about it this month, I'm picking up your great vibes and i am feeling more positive too!!

tamster fingers crossed you get your bfp this month to give us all some positive news!!

imoasta I'm sure time stands still in the 2ww, fingers crossed May is going to be the month for you too!

xTTCTamsterx · 25/04/2017 18:14

@imoasta I'm so glad i found this forum! Feel better already knowing i am not alone in all this TTC stuff Easter Smile x

youngmummy3105 · 25/04/2017 18:16

IMO are they Tesco own brand or the clear blue ones?

Hans my cycle is 32-35 days long so when would you suggest that I test?

Cramps are quite bad today. Can't remember my AF cramps being this painful although it was a year and a half ago. Maybe it could be from having the coil? X

The 2ww may be long but at least it's not lonely when we've got this thread Grin

xTTCTamsterx · 25/04/2017 18:18

@hans Grin Yes it's not so lonely when we can talk on this thread x

pinkiponk · 25/04/2017 18:23

Can I join to?
31 AF due 6 May (ish), I think I'm about 5/6 dpo, the 2ww is so hard! I've been pregnant 3 times, 2 Mc and 1 DS who's 2.
Already symptom checking, grabbing my boobs every so often, I swear they're tender but it's too early isn't it?!
Desperately trying to hold off testing too soon, I'm already tempted Confused

HansSolo22 · 25/04/2017 18:26

@young I have attached a chart which shows when to start testing based on cycle length. Hope it comes out Ok!

Hoping for a BFP in May
ImoAsta · 25/04/2017 18:31

@youngmummy3105 they were the Tesco's own brand ones, can't remember if there were 5 or 7 in a box but it was £9.
My OH told me to hold off buying the clear blue one as it was expensive but if this isn't our month I might have to!

@xTTCTamsterx @HansSolo22
Yes! So glad that I found this forum too! It will make this wait more bearable. Smile

FX to everyone on it!

Hi pinkiponk yay another one for 6th May! I also have a 2 year old DS, and had MC earlier this year. I'm so keen to get my bfp but I think I'll be very nervous after my loss. Just trying to stay positive about it all though. Best of luck and hopefully we'll be posting good news at the same time!!

pinkiponk · 25/04/2017 18:32

Thanks for posting the chart! I'm being thick but does the days in that chart mean DPO?

pinkiponk · 25/04/2017 18:35

hans waves fingers crossed! I used to be so relaxed about conception/pregnancy. But after 2 MCs one of which was a missed miscarriage I've turned into a calendar obsessive!! I've counted how many days I'm PO about 20 times!

HansSolo22 · 25/04/2017 18:40

@pinkiponk no it's actual cycle day. So if you have a 26 day cycle, you start testing on cycle day 9. The shorter your cycle, the sooner after AF you start testing. Hope that helps x

youngmummy3105 · 25/04/2017 18:49

Hans I think that I might use the cheaper ones from cd12 onwards and see. If I get a darker line then use the cb to check? Or use them this cycle to get used to my usual dates And then if I don't get my BFP this month next month I should know when I ovulate to start testing with cb!

Imo i think I will also look into them as they are half the price of the cb and might work just as good so I will see!

Good luck pinkiponk and welcome, hope you get your BFP this month!xx

Ahhh I see hans and thanks young Smile

Oysterbabe · 25/04/2017 21:31

I used the cheapie one step ones and worked for me. I can't be bothered to DTD due to non sleeping toddler so need to focus my efforts at the right time. We dtd when they started to get darker then again when i got a positive, 2 days later, and that was it. Got my BFP second cycle and now crossing my fingers it's a sticky one.

youngmummy3105 · 26/04/2017 07:58

Congratulations oyster! I have ordered some cheap ones from amazon so hopefully that will help!xx
