We are a bunch of ladies who are either

  • humping (TTC)
  • by humping yet (waiting to TTC)
  • humped (BFP)

And everything in between!

We've had 8 BFPs since January (and counting!) and we love a bit of lucky lube and a squinter on 9DPO - come and join the madness!

Really hope there's a squinty line mummy! Definitely seems like it should be your month.

Thanks everyone, I know it's irrational and I'll probably get my time. Tbh, I'm dreading being pregnant again. I really hated it! Feels awful to admit. But, hopefully at least things will work out better for me next time. Think my oh will like the idea of smep - looks like a lot of dtd!!

Para any sign of AF for you?

Penguin27 · 12/04/2017 07:56

Morning all!

Sorry about the bfn mummy, but you're not out until you're out! Fx AF stays away for you.

Still feeling quite horrible but I've got to go back to work today... I'll soldier on through while moaning like a bitch

HbH · 12/04/2017 08:07

Oh no penguin rub that you have to go to work when you're still poorly... try & take it easy.

Tigger good that you potentially have a few expert opinions to take on board x

I had the worst nights sleep, yesterday eve & through the night I've been having sharp twinges on my lower left hand side. I'm off course paranoid that i pissed the baby off running, DH trying to reassure me! I've goggled and most stuff says its just things stretching and settling but it does seem a bit of a coincidence! Argh, so much stress surrounds TTC & EP! Why couldn't i find out at 20 weeks like my cousin!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 12/04/2017 08:11

I second that hb! The anxiety is horrible, I don't feel physically normal so can't forget I'm pregnant, plus I'm paranoid about underperforming at work ahead of telling them in the summer, so that's making me even more anxious. Last time apart from the no AF I didn't even notice anything till 5 months!

Penguin hope work is not too bad, I'm also back at work and waiting for my boss to arrive. I feel guilty for being off even though I genuinely had food poisoning! It's ridiculous

Tigger hope you are ok and resting up Flowers

TheGrumpySquirrel · 12/04/2017 08:12

Dancing why did you hate it? I'm really not enjoying it at all but hope it will get better and I'll be able to relax a bit more. Really annoyed at my stupid anxiety.

Seven0fNine · 12/04/2017 08:52

Morning lovelies,

I think you girls are unbelievably strong, time really is the best healer xx

I'm on board for a bit of SMEPPING (funny at work we have a meeting that we call a SMEP - Schools Music Education Plan - I'll never be able to think of it the same now!!)

Penguin hope you feel better soon and work isn't too bad.

Hb Maybe just take it a bit easier from now on. Nice walks and little jogs whilst the baby settles in x

Failed on the no alcohol already as DH asked for some beers last night after work so I just had to have a couple of Crabbies with him, but in fairness AB was being a dick and I felt shit. But on it now. I've text and everything to say..."no beer!!!!" :D

Think today I am going to start work on a Peter Rabbit quilt my sister asked me to make for her friend, she got some gorgeous fabric. Anddd practice piano...it's definitely an indoor day today!!

JB1983 · 12/04/2017 09:17

tigger I'm glad that you are doing ok. Definitely worth emailing the consultants and getting their thoughts. Just keep taking each day as it comes.

dancing I thought I had heard that people can fall pregnant really quick after a miscarriage. I can imagine that the prospect of having to live through two 1st trimesters in a row must be daunting and a little off putting.

I understand it must make you anxious but jupiter and buzz try not to worry too much about the lack of morning sickness, just high-five your OH that you don't have it 😂.

otters keeping my fingers crossed that you've got a couple of healthy follicles growing this month and the clomid does it's
Job.

Sorry about BfN mummy, hopefully just a little to early to show on test.

Get well soon penguin, that's rubbish you have to go back to work so quick. Likewise grumpy take it easy back at work. I'm sure your boss won't think your skiving.

Well done on the run Hb, A session with a PT might put your mind at rest about which exercise will be best for you and your special cargo. Thank you for the advice DH and I will try and fit in a quiet hump tonight 🙈. SMEP is what we are going to try next month if we are unsuccessful this month.

I am spending the day with my 6 week old nephew so major broodyness alert! Enjoying getting lots of practice though. Sling shopping and walking through the botanic gardens - happy wednesday folks.

orangefolly · 12/04/2017 09:18

Morning everyone

jupiter I cracked this morning and did an IC but it was a definite BFN. To be honest I became convinced yesterday that it's not my month as my usual extreme grumpy mood before AB kicked in. It only lasts a day or so, but always the same time in my cycle so I'm not holding my breath.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you mummy

seven Crabbies taste like lovely soft drinks, so you didn't drink really Grin

Hope you're feeling okay tigger.

dancing you definitely will get your time. I don't blame you for not having enjoyed early pregnancy - it does sound very stressful. I'm hopeful that it isn't so bad once you're in the second trimester and on

Parastars · 12/04/2017 09:56

Dancing I completely understand how you feel with the frustration and how it's just so bloody unfair. I should have had my 12 week scan this week and telling the world, but actually I'm having to start all over again.
In answer to your question, no sign of AF. Not sure when to expect her...it's been 3 weeks since erpc and I usually have 36ish day cycles so might not be for another couple of weeks. We actually feel ready to try again, a couple of weeks ago I never thought I would say that so soon but I need something positive to focus on and also want to take advantage of the fact we are supposed to be more fertile after a mc.
DH and I started off being 'careful' as thought we would wait til after af, but we haven't been careful since. However, he is away with work now so I know I won't fall this month anyway. This would typically be my fertile week in my normal cycle, but I don't feel like anything is going on.
Just trying to patient, let my body heal and go with the flow!
How are you feeling about ttc again?

Tigger hope you are taking care of yourself. Don't try and do too much early on; I went for a long walk 3 days post surgery and started the bleeding up again.

HeyJupiter · 12/04/2017 10:36

Oh orange, I'm sorry. Am disappointed for you. How are you feeling? You're not out until AF shows though!

So guys I'm currently sat in M&S car park avoiding my work base because someone decided to bring in some lambs as an Easter treat (her husband is a shepherd) Obviously that is really lovely but also being near lambs is really dangerous for pregnant women. I'm quite cross actually as I had to dash out when we were told and it was probably really obvious to everyone why and I resent having to face that at work. Seriously must be the only time the NHS hasn't demanded a whole risk assessment prior to any event. Am in a crappy mood anyway. Also we have known pregnant women in the dept and men whose partners are pregnant. Sorry if this is all really irrational. It's also hypocritical of me as if I wasn't pregnant I'd be all "lamby lamby lambs!" and bottle feeding them Grin

penguin how are you bearing up?

Hb don't panic about the twinges, could well be ligaments that have slightly pulled whilst you were exercising. All our ligaments soften in pregnancy and I had exactly the same after swimming a few weeks ago. Also lots of pulling and stretching down there to be expected as your womb is expanding. Am sure everything is fine.

seven haha about SMEPs dual meanings! Love the idea of a Peter rabbit quilt, how beautiful! Can you take a photo of the fabric?

Have a lovely day JB with new born snuggles - sounds like bliss.

Para so glad you're feeling ready and you're recovering. Hope AF appears soon so you can start making plans.

Penguin27 · 12/04/2017 10:43

Sorry about the bfn orange! It's got to be your month, you've been using the magic lube. Keeping my fx for you.

That sounds very frustrating Jupiter Sad it does seem very odd to just randomly bring a load of lambs into work, especially when it's the NHS! Just try to enjoy having a bit of quiet time and an extra break!

I'm on my way home from work, this soldier has fallen Sad can't wait to crawl back into bed

HeyJupiter · 12/04/2017 10:49

Oh Penguin how rubbish! Rest up and look after yourself.

Just re-read my lamb rant.. I've become a hysterical pregnant woman haven't I? Shit Grin

HbH · 12/04/2017 11:23

Ah Jupiter it's not hysterical at all, it's totally justified when it's something that could harm you!! I'm sure no one at work will have twigged.... it's only because you have it in your head! My BIL has a farm so a lambing visit is off this year!

Aw Penguin glad you've decided to go home... it didn't sound like you should have been it in the first place, look after yourself x

Para Flowers for getting through tough milestones but hopefully you'll be doing them again soon x

❤️ "Special cargo" JB!

Sorry for BFN orange & mummy , hopefully just too early Cake

DH did some research too and it said twinges could also be down to bowel stuff shifting about! It's calmed down a bit now...

orangefolly · 12/04/2017 11:25

Feeling pretty gutted tbh. Just tired of TTC already and scared it's not going to happen, stressed at already feeling old. And then guilty because my DH gets sad seeing me stress and I want him not to worry. Urgh. I'll buck up in a day or two. Not looking forward to spending Easter with a pregnant lady, a toddler, and a friend who will repeatedly ask me and DH when we are going to have a baby Sad

Hope you feel better penguin

jupiter you are not a crazy pregnant lady! You made me giggle with that comment though. And I had no idea about lambs being bad - learn something new every day!

HeyJupiter · 12/04/2017 12:25

Hb lower left pelvic pain is definitely bowel related too. In my first few weeks I was so constipated and I got loads of digging left hand pains (which confused kindly reassured me about at the time) but also might be the corpus luteum stretching. I got all paranoid about it being something scary but I haven’t had it now for nearly two weeks. The anxiety never really goes does it!

orange I so completely understand where you’re coming from. I think we’re a similar age and I went through all those fears. I honestly think it’s just luck at the end of the day. Me and DH didn’t really do anything different last month (bar the lube) so it just feels random whether it happens or doesn’t. Actually the only extra thing we tried was the Wellman supplements that Hb recommended at the time. But again it’s probably just fluke. I’m so sorry you’re feeling rubbish, it’s such an emotional rollercoaster all of this. Onto next month though! It may be the one…

Thanks for the lamb-reassurance everyone. Peeped through the office window a minute ago and there is one sitting at my desk. Seriously. The others are all roaming about on the floor but one has chosen to sit up on my chair. Maybe it can type some GP letters up for me. It is very cute indeed. Going on home visits now to avoid the little beasts.

HbH · 12/04/2017 12:46

This is absolutely priceless Jupiter cannot believe there's a lamb at your desk😂 Any other time this would be the cutest thing ever!! Thanks for the reassurance! Things are definitely a bit slow in the bowel department.... just realised there hasn't been any number two action since Saturday if I remember rightly 😳

Oh Orange it's all such a lottery, when sre you actually due AB?? Haven't you only done an IC? I don't think Buzz got a BFP Til like 9 days after she was due so maybe you're still in with a chance? Yes, get Mr Orange on the Wellman! My DH is taking most of the credit for conception due to his super spermHmm he was NO idea the lengths i went to but happy to give him the credit!!

HeyJupiter · 12/04/2017 12:52

Hb that could well explain some of the pain too - get on the bran flakes my lovely! My DH appears to be taking all the credit for the conception too (feel like saying 'yes darling, I was just a passive recipient with all my OPK-ing in the toilets at work, and the checking of CM etc ha!)

Redpony1 · 12/04/2017 12:57

I didn't know being around lambs was dangerous for pregnant women! My friend is a farmer, she's done the last 2 seasons of lambing (including the current season) whilst pregnant!! Loads of pregnant women at the last lambing weekend at work too..! Learn something new everyday don't you!

We have 5 orphan lambs at the stables at the moment, they are soooo cute.

As you know, i'm not OPKing or DTD this month (trying to get used to my cycles & didnt fancy a Dec baby!) BUT i have been trying to symptom spot, to see if i can work out when i ovulate without OPK's.... Big fat failure, try as i might, i have not had one single symptom and it's now CD31!!! LOL Blooming body.....

buzzmoon · 12/04/2017 13:24

Lambs on your desk 😂😂😂😂 paha I've literally heard it all now jupiter!! That's so bizarre!

And yes to DP taking credit, he's said it's his super banging which did it 😂

You're not out yet orange, hb is right, was 9 days after AB not arriving! 🤞🏽

sorry you're feeling poo penguin hope you feel better after a long sleep :)

DancingUnicorn · 12/04/2017 13:25

Grumpy it probably is just be looking back with a lot of bitterness. Right now I feel the best (physically) that I have for ages. It's such a stark contrast from a couple of weeks ago, I feel like a different person. Concentrating at work SO much better etc. But, I am determined to be more positive. So, I'll try not to moan any more today. I'm sorry you are feeling so anxious and out of control. Is there anybody you can talk to about things?

Orange I'm so sorry you're finding things really difficult. My bfp was two days after af was due, so there is still some hope. It's such a rollercoaster of a journey. Hopefully you are just getting to the exciting bits!

Para yes, I know what you mean. I'm trying so hard to not think about where I would have been. But I feel like all my plans for the year fell through. I just need to have faith that when the time is perfect, things will be.

Seven I'm jealous of your piano. Mine lives with my parents because London flats are not big enough for pianos and I miss it!! I should get my clarinet out instead, but that seems like more effort!

Hope you're doing ok today Tigger!

Those who do mindfulness... do you use an app? You tube? Any recommendations?

Only the afternoon left at work for me! At a wedding tomorrow, and then a weekend of church and singing which I'm hoping will be just what I need!

Tigger83 · 12/04/2017 14:17

I'm doing ok feeling not to bad, little crampy. Bleeding has pretty much stopped just waiting for my bfn (feels weird to say) then we plan to start trying again. Consultant said no known link to ige levels and genome project too early to get results.

We're doing the garden up so we've chosen a beautiful climbing rose to go over our new seating area.

Found out today I got a distinction in an exam so that was a bit of cheery news!!

Grumpy I felt so rubbish in early pregnancy and it's all so overwhelming! Talk to us or someone in real life if you can.

Dancing completely get what you mean xx

Orange it's so frustrating and such an emotional rollercoaster try and be kind to yourself

Jupiter 🐑** made me giggle!!

Seven0fNine · 12/04/2017 14:26

Dancing mine is just an electric one but it's pretty good. Not the same as playing on a real one but I still love it and it's moved with me many times! Piano isn't my first instrument but it's the one I like playing most ❤ even tho I'm poop.

Fabric attached... Haven't got round to chopping it into squares yet!! But it's so pretty. Think my sis got it off etsy. Would love a Peter rabbit bedroom when I have a little one 😍

Mummyme87 · 12/04/2017 15:37

Just saw peppa pig at the cinema... officially gone mad 🙈
Still getting intermittently tender boobs and pelvic poking pain, cervix also still soft with white cm 🤔🤞🏻

HbH · 12/04/2017 17:10

How many dpo are you now mummy ?

Beautiful material seven a nursery would indeed look lovely in that theme

red have your cycles shortened to normality after your post pill craziness?

dancing the thing you said about concentration....

I've double booked an appointment this week, I've been calling clients by the wrong names, I can't finish sentences! I'm usually so organised and on the ball but the 'special cargo' must be taking over at least half my brain cells! Can't even publically blame it on baby brain at the mo so i just look stupid!!

HeyJupiter · 12/04/2017 17:22

Red am sure the lamb risk is very minimal if you practice ‘infection control’, I was just being over dramatic (and slightly enjoying flouncing off)

Dancing sounds like you’ve got a lovely weekend planned. Feeling physically better must help with the healing too. I would google mindfulness or put it into youtube. There is a lovely Australian man who does some guided meditation but can’t seem to find it right now :) You need to find a video that has a person presenting whose voice doesn’t set you on edge!

Tigger I’m so glad you’re feeling physically okay. Is there a time you’ve been told you’re likely to start seeing a BFN? (when hcg out of your system I guess.) I love the sound of your climbing rose, how beautiful. Huge congrats on the exam, that’s bloody fantastic! You star Star

Oh that fabric is so beautiful seven, I might have to get some and make a baby quit out of it. I love winnie the pooh and wonder if they have any fabric with the original illustrations on. Right, I’m off to look at etsy!

mummy are you going to test again tomorrow?

Hb I’m the same! My concentration is appalling. Also I called DH ‘Ben’ the other day (that isn’t his name by the way.. I don’t even know any Bens!)
