We are a bunch of ladies who are either

  • humping (TTC)
  • by humping yet (waiting to TTC)
  • humped (BFP)

And everything in between!

We've had 8 BFPs since January (and counting!) and we love a bit of lucky lube and a squinter on 9DPO - come and join the madness!

Oh otters it will happen for you soon. Don't worry.

Glad it is over Tigger - you are being amazingly strong. Make sure you don't rush your recovery and take the time you need x

Tigger you’ve done it. I am so relieved for you and so happy you’re being looked after. Hope the recovery is swift and you can start healing. The worst is over. You are amazing and brave Flowers

parnsips sorry you’re struggling at work. I feel exactly the same. If I wasn’t pregnant (or planning) would definitely think about moving on. So difficult to sustain motivation sometimes. Are there any interesting projects etc that you could get involved with? Just to try and get that spark back?

confused sorry got confused myself :) Glad the ECG went okay lovely, I think I must have missed your update about heart palpitations. Glad all is well. Not long until the scan!! Eeeek.

grumpy it’s amazing that they can tell what side you ovulated. I read somewhere that if the embryo implants on the left side of your uterus it’s more likely to be a girl? Is that actually true? Hope you’re feeling better and managing to get some rest after your horrible night.

Penguin sorry you’re feeling so rotten! Flowers for you. Harry Potter always cheers me up.. mainly because I love Alan Rickman Grin Can’t believe he’s dead Sad

otters ohh that’s so exciting. Fingers crossed for some juicy follicles. I’m an advocate of EOD because it worked for us. Cramming it in every day was actually really hard work and not enjoyable and I think put too much pressure on my DH to ‘perform’. Every couple is different though I guess.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 11/04/2017 16:44

Jupiter I don't know, from what I could see in the scan of the placental bruising mine has implanted on my left side (right of pic) but not sure which way round it all is vs the image! They didn't show me the ovary on screen. I'd love another girl mustn't get hopes up
How are you? How many weeks are you now?

HeyJupiter · 11/04/2017 16:56

Grumpy ohh maybe it is another girl for you :) I ovulated from my left and felt implantation 'throbbing' the on the left too so you never know. I'm okay thank you, 7+3 today.. symptoms come and go. Feeling grotty in mornings and when I haven't eaten for a bit but I've escaped really bad nausea (so far). How about you? Has it all sunk in yet? What a horrible scare for you last night x

TheGrumpySquirrel · 11/04/2017 17:19

Thanks Jupiter I'm ok just a little anxious about feeling nauseous in this pregnancy as I don't think I can handle it at all! Although it's good to know you've escaped bad nausea so far - I'm almost exactly two weeks behind you (5+2) and no it hasn't really sunk in! I thought I'd be more excited but am mostly just scared so far (feeling out of control of my physical body). I'll feel better once the first trimester is out of the way I hope. My boobs have doubled in size overnight!!! It's even funnier because I had implants after DD so now my natural boobs are getting bigger on top it's a lot more than I bargained for!! I kind of wish I didn't have the implants but they do even out my body shape quite well.

buzzmoon · 11/04/2017 18:20

tigger glad it's over an DH looking after you ❤️ take as long as you need, don't rush back to work.

grumpy glad everything's alright and you're feeling better! I'm 8 + 3 and still no full on nausea so fingers crossed for you. So funny about the boobs, I feel like mine have doubled in size it's ridiculous 😂 embrace the giant tits! So glad I got those super soft bras though, I wouldn't be able to cope with normal ones!

jupiter glad to hear you've no major symptoms. I'm not going to lie, my lack of symptoms is starting to worry me. I just can't wait till Friday. Literally counting down the minutes. Did DP budge on the early scan?

parsnips sorry work is shit, I'm sure you're not that bad weight wise! And so what, you've been enjoying yourself! I so need to get on the meal planning and healthy eating. I need to get some healthy snack ideas because I'm eating constantly having like 6 meals a day it's ridiculous 😔

seven you're so right about the champagne!! I'm literally gutted I have to say! My mums cousin lives in France and works for a champagne company, she's sent 3 bottles for us to try to decide which to pick for the wedding. I literally feel like throwing an absolute strop and feel like why bother picking one when I can't even have it!! Haha bridezilla moment maybe? I'll probably have a sip at the weekend to taste, that should be okay should it?

TheGrumpySquirrel · 11/04/2017 18:23

Lol buzz I might actually have to start wearing a bra again soon 🙈 ps. Sip (or three!) of champers will be totally fine!

HeyJupiter · 11/04/2017 18:32

grumpy fingers crossed the nausea stays away, but ditto on the boobs - mine are all swollen and sore.

I know what you mean buzz, I've been a bit concerned about lack of morning sickness too. Mainly because the internet is full of 'sickness=healthy baby' posts. I do have other symptoms though (sore breasts, night sweats, queasy before meals and fatigue) so something must be happening in there. No shift on the early scan but very excited about yours!!

DancingUnicorn · 11/04/2017 18:45

Tigger lovely, glad you are being looked after. I hope you are not in too much pain, physically at least. Be kind and gentle to yourself. I found I was fine physically the first couple of days, but was very achey and a bit sore/crampy since then. Found it hard to do too much physically (a ten min walk maybe). Thinking of you. ❤

HbH · 11/04/2017 19:58

Evening girls, you've been chatty today!

Tigger glad you're home, are being looked after & have a good few days off for starting the recovery FlowersCake

grumpy Glad you're feeling better & have got a couple of cheeky scans from the experience! I think mine came from the right ovary too! Also snap on the boobs getting BIG (well bigger, quite petite to start with so a new experience!) I'm sure DH is disappointed that he can't play, too sore!

Wiggley definitely think it's a wise decision to postpone til honeymoon! Loved my wedding so much and had such a laugh, nice to concentrate fully on that rather than worrying about early symptoms etc! Where are you honeymooning?

Get well soon penguin sounds absolutely horrendous, you're not in FW yet are you?

JB get humping!! I'm sure you can do it quietly 😂

parsnips time will fly... and you might be on for a May baby, which is the best month for a birthday if you could pick them!!

I had a slightly early finish so DH & i went for a run!! I haven't exercised for like three weeks (scared i would jiggle things loose!) I seem to have survived but already starting to hurt!! Think I'm going to do a sesh with a personal trainer to see what is safe to do at the gym.

HbH · 11/04/2017 20:03

Otters This is my successful cycle... ignore where the fertile week is... i think it went a bit haywire when I didn't imput AB.

We kind of went in a bit hard early on, so if it didn't happen i was going to EOD it for a bit, then everyday in FW, then a bit more EOD after. (DH does shifts too sonhave to work round them!) Or was also considering SMEP which is very manageable & has good success! Good luck for lots of juicy follicles!

Getting Ready For Baby Challenge - Thread 7
DancingUnicorn · 11/04/2017 20:23

What is SMEP hb?

I'm so terrified that it's going to take ages to fall again. I'm sure it's completely irrational, but just feeling really miserable about it. I felt like crap for the majority of the year, and it was all for nothing, and I'm going to have to go through it all again. Sorry for moaning, I'm trying to be positive, just failing right now!

HbH · 11/04/2017 20:29

It's 'Sperm Meets Egg Plan'

spermmeetseggplan.com

Basically, uses OPKs, EOD until +ve, then maybe three days in a row, then leave a day and then one for luck!! (Roughly, have attached the link for proper rules!)

You can moan all you want babe, Especially here! FX for a swift rainbow baby... aren't you meant to be quite fertile after MC? Im sure I've read this x

HeyJupiter · 11/04/2017 20:54

So understandable Dancing, but also likely you will fall pregnant quickly again. Moan and vent away, that's why we're here. I've heard that you are very fertile post mc but I suppose it's whether emotionally you want to crack on straight away or not. I know it must feel disheartening thinking about all this OPK-ing and DTD-ing on demand again but you can do it. Thinking of you xx

Tigger83 · 11/04/2017 21:11

Had a few hours relaxing. I'm feeling ok. Got some light cramps and very light bleeding. Irrationally I'm feeling quite positive at the minute. I'm waiting for it to hit me but I do feel like I did some my grieving over the weekend so this week I'm feeling a bit better and I feel guilty for that which I know I shouldn't and everyone deals with things anyway. I guess I felt so worried about the pregnancy from the start that it always felt a little bit like it wouldn't go well.

My biggest concern is I have bad allergies and so really high ige levels, I've researched and can't find any links but it does say immenuology can be a reason for miscarriage so I have emailed the 2 consultants I've been under to ask advice (the g.p. Said it wouldn't be an issue though so Confused) I also (due to the allergies) was asked to partake in a genome trail (I think that's what it's called) which did my whole chromosome profile so I've asked if the consultant can chase the results (originally I was told due to the level of testing and the newness of the project it could take 6months to 2 years!!) but I'm sure they must have done the basic profiling.

Hope everyone is doing ok today dancing sorry you're feeling down. It's so hard isn't it.

Grumpy glad all was ok. Take some time to rest.

Sorry everyone I've read all your lovely messages but I don't have the energy tonight to thank you all properly but I will do. You have no idea what strength you have given me and how much your support has meant to me. You are such an amazing bunch and I feel very lucky to have you as part of my journey as bumpy as it may be!

Tigger83 · 11/04/2017 21:20

Should everyone deals with things differently!

DancingUnicorn · 11/04/2017 21:27

I hope the consultants are able to give you some answers and reassurance Tigger.

user1488833003 · 11/04/2017 21:42

Hi I'm
New to this :)

TTC#1
25 years old
Got pregnant on first cycle after being on the pill for 10years !
Baby due 15 October
13+3

penguinsandotters · 11/04/2017 22:26

tigger at least it's over now and you can start to heal and move forward. Hope you get some answers from your consultants. Do take care of yourself and remember we are all here for you Flowers

dancing sorry you're feeling down. I know words won't help but hopefully the support here is helpful Flowers

parsnips thanks. It's just so frustrating and depressing especially after the 1 year mark. Sorry your work is terrible but think of the maternity benefits!

grumpy and jupiter really hope there's some large follicles! EOD sounds like the best chance of success.

hb well done on the run! Thanks for the cycle info. It's really helpful. We were planning ED until ovulation (if I manage it) then EOD but think will go with the SPEM. Have read that ED can reduce sperm quality.

HbH · 11/04/2017 22:43

I worried about this otters & voiced it on here at the time! but i think unless your partner has got actual sperm issues it should be fine... & is good to make sure there are no old fellas kicking around... fresh is best!

confusedat23 · 12/04/2017 05:59

Morning Ladies thanks so much for the well wishes yesterday... ECG was fine and i'm just going to try and relax a bit more =)

Tigger i'm so glad you have been looked after well by DF they can be such gems when they want! Lol... just keep pushing for answers off the doctors if you are concerned hun and i'm hoping you get the answers that you need!

You will get there Dancing no woman gets left behind!!... plus Jupiter is right you are meant to be super fertile after a miscarriage!...

User This is a TTC thread... as you are already upduffed you may find it more beneficial to be on the Antenatal Club for October or on the pregnancy boards... obviously you are welcome to stick around if you like though =)

Mummyme87 · 12/04/2017 07:19

11dpo I did a FRER.. looks negative. Maybe if I squint hard enough there might be a line but not really. This time last month my period started on this day, I'm expecting it on Friday though, and I get brown discharge for the whole day before so that should be tomorrow. At least I shouldn't have to wait much longer to know whether I'm completely out!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 12/04/2017 07:33

Ahh mummy you're still early yet - fingers crossed you get you're BFP.

Welcome user - definitely hang around, it's get ready for baby challenge and none of us have our babies yet (humped or not) so please do join! Have you had your 12 weeks scan yet?

Xx

Morning all

hb thanks for the reassurance. Just so difficult to work out what's for the best.

confused glad your ECG was ok. Definitely relax and take it easy

mummy sorry about the negative test but you're not out till AF arrives. Still a glimmer of hope.

tigger and dancing how are you feeling today?

grumpy and penguin hope you're both feeling better today.

Happy Wednesday all. Not long till the long weekend Smile

HeyJupiter · 12/04/2017 07:35

Tigger I’m was so pleased to read your update. Feeling more positive must be a relief. Don’t feel guilty, grief is a mix of so many emotions. I absolutely agree that it’s worth pushing for results from the trial you did and to find out whether there is a link between high ige and miscarriage. Hopefully not but good to get some expert opinion so you know where you stand. Am so pleased that physically you are feeling okay too.

otters, I think Hb is right that sperm quality isn’t effected by ED DTD-ing and in fact getting more in there (as it were) has to be the priority. Go for it if you don’t find it daunting.

mummy I’m willing AF away for you. Don’t give up hope, 11DPO is still really early.

orange when are you testing lovely?

user, welcome! As confused said you might find the antenatal boards a bit more helpful, but if not then you are very welcome here :)
