Jupiter there's two main theories regarding the TWW - "drink til it's pink" or "sober til it's over".

I think I'd fall into the first category but wouldn't get completely hammered.

Thanks parsnips.. I'm definitely drinking till it's pink!!! Wine

confusedat23 · 05/03/2017 10:18

Ahaha cross country lube exchange is brilliant!!... me and DH only used 2 tubes so buying 3 boxes was a bit excessive Grin lool... and Jupiter your BFP will make it up to me!

Dancing its funny you talk about bras i put mine on this morning and its already cutting me... only balcony bras seem comfy but if there is a good mat bra on sale i might try it... in for a penny and all that!!

The bedroom looks lovely Laura

HeyJupiter · 05/03/2017 10:20

Oh grumpy so sorry but at least you can draw a firm line under this month. Being in limbo is sometimes worse. Hope you have a relaxed day, glad your OH is looking after you :)

laura wardrobes look fab! You must be so pleased.

Thanks for the reassurance, I think a couple of glasses of wine probably isn't end of the world but will avoid getting completed wasted before my BFP/BFN Grin This 2ww is dragging already..

buzzmoon · 05/03/2017 10:22

grumpy I'm so gutted for you I genuinely thought this was it 😩 onwards and upwards to next month! Your positives listed below certainly are positives and you can enjoy a glass on wine today ❤️

xlaura · 05/03/2017 10:23

I'm really happy with them actually!! It's the first time oh has ever done them so I'm super impressed haha. Now off to get a wardrobe and a single bed and mattress for little back room and that'll be that room pretty much full 😂 I wish they wouldn't give such a small third bedroom bloody developers grr haha.

DancingUnicorn · 05/03/2017 10:25

Oh cocktails that must be so hard! And yes, it would be an incredibly difficult decision after cvs. :( When's your next appointment so you can decide whether you will get referred?

Grumpy boo!! I'm so sorry lovely. You definitely deserve wine! For the whole family! (Well, I guess maybe not dd...)

Laura fancy coming to sort my flat out for me?? I have NO motivation with house things, mainly because neither of us are very handy! Must learn how to fasten bookshelves to the wall!!

MrsC2017 · 05/03/2017 10:33

Morning girls,
grumpy I'm sorry AF has showed but it is at last closure! You have the right attitude and hopefully this cycle will be the one. Big love to u xxx
cocktails it does sound like being stuck between rock and a hard place, whatever decision you make won't be the wrong one as long as you do what you think is right.
jupiter I was in Lisbon from 2-5dpo and had a night out here at 6dpo and drank on all occasions, ovia tells me that it's only now that the baby is attempting to share my blood supply, that kicks in this week so not to worry at all! Also just bust laughing at cross country lube exchange!
parsnips that would def look like a positive if the lines weren't as close, hmm it's hard to tell!
confused blanket sounds fab, happy shopping!
glitters I had forgotten about the pimms 😔
My boobs feel like they weigh a stone each and believe me they are tiny so they don't, last pregnancy I went from B cup to E cup and back to B after so now my boobs are tiny and saggy from all the stretching! I thankfully don't feel sick yet though today!

Cocktails30 · 05/03/2017 11:00

Ooo I missed some wardrobes?! Maybe it's my phone! We moved into our new house in November and it is a new build so all needs doing! We are still surrounded by boxes and I just want it all finished. Need a lottery win!

Our appointment is 15th so going armed with print outs etc. But it has taken two years to test 3 people and that doesn't include us. So I think it is like starting again really as they will now say well we need to test you and if that takes another year for results I will be going mad. I'm going to have to push her and say we are now two years into this, time is not on our side, I need to know when we can progress!

HbH04 · 05/03/2017 11:25

Morning girls

My 1yo nephew stayed last night so i was up super early running around after him... & have now gone back to bed to recover!

Sorry to hear AF came grumpy , totally rubbish after all the symtoms but glad you're looking at the positives & you're being looked after!

confused I'm so excited to get over the bump clothing! I love stuff pulled up really high! Good excuse for a whole new wardrobe!

Welcome cocktails i thought straight up TTC was complex but yours sounds next level... hope you get a good plan in place soon. Im the zika girl!! Went to Thailand in January and absolutely didn't want to wait six months so paid for a private test. Just a blood test 21 days after exposure. Was £327 but was worth it for peace of mind. Also, we only got 1/2 bites between us cos we layered on the max strength jungle formula (50% deet). Can't get zika if you don't get bitten!

Hope everyone else ok & having a good weekend 😀

Cocktails30 · 05/03/2017 11:52

I guess my worry is what if you don't realise you've been bitten?! Haha. So maybe if we just deet up and keep an eye on ourselves we will be ok. Mind you, we will probably be waiting way over 6 months to get anywhere near trying at this rate 😂

HbH04 · 05/03/2017 12:43

Well yes, I didn't get bitten (that i knew of!) but still had the test because you just don't know!

The Dr was saying the odds of actually picking it up are pretty low (certainly on Thailand, & i imagine florida is similar) but was glad we're starting off without that worry.

Its crazy how the time flies anyway!!

Cocktails30 · 05/03/2017 13:35

Yes I think it's slim in Florida, especially outside Miami, and I don't remember usually getting bitten in Florida. Just an extra worry.

I'm just so frustrated with time slipping away!

Mimilicious013 · 05/03/2017 14:23

Happy Sunday everyone
laura Omg, l so love the wardrobes and the colours of your bedroom are lovely. Well done.
Sorry for af grumpy.Flowerswhen they say ttc is a Rollercoaster ride, it is indeed . wishing all the best in the next cycle.
Excitedfor you confused.meeting with the midwife makes it more real.cant wait to see the blanket all done up.
parsnips l would have been out of my mind if I had a test like that. Fx tomorrow will be clearer for you. It never gets easier, does it?
Jupiter , enjoy your drinks hun. This ttc business can take a toll on you .hope you enjoyed yourself

Mimilicious013 · 05/03/2017 14:55

The weekend is laid back, thanks hb.visited dm in the morning and now I'm on the sofa watching tv and wondering what to cook. How is your Sunday?
Glad today you are not feeling sick mrsc.gives you a chance to rest just for a bit.my boobs are small and they hardly grow when I am updfuffed and to think l am a size 18Shock
3 days to go until my bfp or the witch!!feeling really bloated, but that could really be either way Hmm

orangefolly · 05/03/2017 16:18

Oh keeping my fingers crossed for you mimi

grumpy oh no - I was gutted to log on and see AF has come. Wishing you an excellent Wine and at least now a break from wondering for a bit

jupiter hey, happy 2WW! I was thinking the same thing about drinking. I am seeing a couple of old friends this week who will instantly know if I don't drink at all, and I don't really want them to know I am trying before I even get a BFP - then they will just ask me every month how it is going and it could take ages!! I think so close to ovulation still I will allow myself a glass or two of wine and try not to worry.

Oh MrsC that sounds like a good perk of pregnancy, no? Or are they too sore to enjoy having big boobs for a while?!

Mimilicious013 · 05/03/2017 16:53

Thanks orange.let know what you mean about haven't to explain and excuse yourself so early in the game. Enjoy your drinks (moderately)Wink, until those two lines show up.

HeyJupiter · 05/03/2017 16:55

MrsC glad you aren’t feeling sick today. Hope you’re enjoying the big boobage :)

Good luck for the appointment cocktails, is there any reason why it could take so long for you both to be tested? Is a year a normal waiting time? Yes, definitely time to push things. You need to know where you stand so you can make some informed decisions. Fingers crossed they are receptive to what you want.

Thanks mimi, it was lovely to be tipsy with friends and relax. You don’t get downtime with TTC if you stick to all the rules so enjoyed pushing them a bit and reminding myself that I am still me and can do normal things. I read something on here where someone said that you can’t view TTC as a month by month process but rather a potentially long journey that could take until this time next year. I seriously need to relax into that concept. Good luck to you though for three days time!! Is that when AF is due?

Hey orange my cycle buddy, hope you’re bearing up with your 2ww. Have a lovely time with your friends and by all means have a couple of drinks. My friends asked me outright last night whether we are trying. it was a relief to just confirm that we were (didn’t give any more detail than that) but hope thats the last of it. Don’t want to have to give a month by month commentary!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 05/03/2017 17:03

Thanks everyone, got my nails and eyebrows done today and a new jumper for a treat. Still in a bit of pain (yay for ibuprofen!) but feel much more able to focus on other aspects of my life such as work that desperately need attention!

MrsC I'm jealous of the big boobs! Hope you are feeling better today?

Laura that looks so neat. I'm well overdue a clearout and I need a new actual wardrobe too!

Jupiter and orange welcome to the TWW.. hope yours doesn't drag as badly as mine did! We should make a list of things to distract from POAS...

Mimi and parsnips FX for BFPs soon!!

HeyJupiter · 05/03/2017 17:28

Sounds like a perfect day grumpy and just what you needed. Really glad you're feeling a bit better. Onwards to the next month :)

So I'm determined to be a bit more sane this month. Not going to test until 12DPO (which works out as my day off anyway) and try not to over symptom spot. Any symptoms I have before then are likely to be progesterone related anyway and not worth reading into.

Wiggleyfingers · 05/03/2017 17:31

Well done Grumpy for treating yourself! Sounds like a lovely, relaxing day. Hope the pain disappears soon!

Jupiter I know what you mean about the relief in telling someone. I wasn't planning to tell anyone but sometimes it feels like I'm going to explode.

I'm having one of those days where waiting until May to ttc is a lifetime away. Haven't helped myself by watching conception videos on babycentre. It's fascinating to see how it all happens and there are some on detail growth as well.

MrsC2017 · 05/03/2017 17:49

grumpy good for you lovely, sounds like just what u needed!
jupiter that's nice to tell people sometimes it's better to just have it out there so long as you aren't getting asked 'anything yet' every two minutes! And that's a great way of looking at things!
wiggly it'll fly in, think we started off on this thread at the start of Jan I think! And that flew by! But I know it's hard when it's on your mind!
My boobs are no bigger yet anyway, just sore! Much less sick today.... Hoping That's not a bad sign! Gp appointment tomorrow to get the ball rolling, over here you have combined care so visit gp and hospital alternatively over the 9 months, so gp will register you etc!

Cocktails30 · 05/03/2017 18:22

jupiter I think it's because when we went 2 years ago the disorder couldn't be pinpointed to a particular gene however because there are so many cases in our family they decided to do some research and have so far found a mutation in the same gene each time. So we haven't even started anything yet to help us conceive, all just background research. And I just know she's going to say we need to do more research to make sure, particularly as they haven't even tested my oh yet! She talked us out of Pgd last time as takes so long and with us not even starting it yet, well my oh will be bloody 50 before we get close at this rate.

HeyJupiter · 05/03/2017 18:29

Oh that makes complete sense cocktail, but I really hope you have enough ammunition now to push for quicker testing if thats the next step. What a tricky road but good for you for pushing onwards. Good luck again for the appointment x
