orange hope you're having a lovely time away, being away and relaxing will probably do more for your fertility than timing DTD with OPKs. Enjoy!

laura that all sounds fab, really pleased you're feeling better too. House stuff is always fun.

xlaura · 04/03/2017 11:55

Thanks Jupiter I'm glad the cramping is over and done with I blame it to ovulation perhaps? I'm looking forward to having it all new and sparkly clean again..now I know we're staying out for a couple more years. I'll post the finished product once it's all done. It's so expensive to do stuff in the house..we're going to renew the carpets after and that's £1300 alone. Putting white in the nursery..how risky am I?! Haha

MrsC2017 · 04/03/2017 12:02

laura so pleased u are feeling better!
orange have a fab trip!!
grumpy tbh I don't know how u have held things together until now, I'm so sorry u are going through so much ups and downs! Sending u big big love xx
jupiter hilarious!!! That made me laugh! And I really don't feel like laughing, I feel like throwing up every second! Trying to stomach some dry toast now..... I Have def had similar pain in and around ov time, I think it's all normal and could be a good sign!

HeyJupiter · 04/03/2017 12:18

Ohh MrsC so sorry you're feeling so rotten! In some ways does it feel reassuring though? Very easy for me to say that obviously. I usually get ovarian pain on the day of ovulation but not two days afterwards.. hopefully it is a good sign :)

HeyJupiter · 04/03/2017 12:19

laura can't wait to see the pictures when it's done!

xlaura · 04/03/2017 12:59

Thanks MrsC definitely good to be feeling better. Come to the realisation I'm gonna be shocking in labour so I may just be having the one 😂 I can't cope with pain haha.

Jupiter Nearly finished it all and then we put the doors on and realised our ceiling is higher than we thought so had to unscrew it all and add another bit of wood 👏🏼 oh is loving life haha.

Mimilicious013 · 04/03/2017 13:00

laura ,Glad you are feeling better and love renovating the house. just too broke to do it right now. Hope it all comes out lovely.
Jupiter that surely made me lol too . you totally deserve a bfp in the weeks to come fx.
orange enjoy your time away
Sorry mrsc , hope it eases off in the 2nd trimester. You must not be with an empty stomach at all times. Kinda makes it worse (and I know just how hard it is eating )sowii
Now lol feel like af wants to come early, when I was so hopeful this cycle grrr

AllTheGlitters · 04/03/2017 13:15

Thanks MrsC, I am definitely pregnant I broke down last night because I tried to close the kitchen window (the handle is really high so I usually have to climb onto the counter to do it), full on sobbing because I had pushed my tummy into the counter Hmm. Only ever melt down like that when I am pregnant! DP is very good, he knows how it is from last time :) Did the second midstream cheapie DP picked me up at about 11am today, and lo and behold a good strong pink like which came up much quicker! No more POAS for me, I'm going to take that as reassurance enough. Hope you feel better soon (although let's be real you probably won't fr a few weeks, at least it's for a good cause Grin ). And am here if you need a hand hold for any anxiety, I was in sweats last night thinking about giving birth again, the hormones really don't help when you have a lot on your plate as it is!

Grumpy so sorry you're feeling down, but just remember your hormones will balance themselves and you will get that BFP soon Flowers

Buzzmoon thanks for the SW info, I might have a look as ideally I'd like to be a few pounds lighter after giving birth! Have been eating reasonably healthy the last couple of months but have gone full rabbit since Thursday, am finding the large volume of fruit and veg surprisingly satisfying. No doubt morning sickness will put a stop to that soon though :(

Good luck mimi and parsnips!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 04/03/2017 14:36

Had lunch with my pregnant friend after yoga and she was so nice & told me not to feel silly about getting excited as anyone would have that reaction to a pink line. Having said that I still feel awfully dizzy and have a massive farting problem (loud and embarrassing!) don't know what to think anymore so going home for a nap! Feels like I'm leaking something so need to do a knicker check for AF or CM...!

HeyJupiter · 04/03/2017 14:58

Yay glitters must have felt amazing to see a good strong line. Really happy for you. Now you can sit back and relax (although am sure that is impossible!) Huge congratulations again.

grumpy so glad you've had some real life reassurance too. We all totally understand and would react the same way. You saw a line so of course you got excited. It may still turn out to be a positive. How was the knicker check?

mimi if your AF is due 8th march how many DPO are you now lovely? Hope AF stays away! :)

haha laura I hope your OH is still enjoying himself...

TheGrumpySquirrel · 04/03/2017 15:07

No AF yet! Having a nap now. Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend x

TheGrumpySquirrel · 04/03/2017 15:18

Just removed my assumed ov day from Ovia and she's updated my FW so I could be as little as 11dpo. But that also means we only DTD twice in FW, at the start of it.

I wish AF would hurry up (if I am not getting a BFP any day now!) so I can start using the CBFM to get a more accurate idea of ovulation day.

Penguin27 · 04/03/2017 15:43

Grumpy, don't give up hope!! It's not over until AF is here... a nap sounds good though! Halo

Mimilicious013 · 04/03/2017 16:11

penguin did you poas again today?
Enjoy your nap grumpy just been napping on and off the whole day today. wonder if it's a good sign or l am coming up with something.
Thanks glitters and exciting the line was strong.no.more testing. I am about 9dpo Jupiter so no way I am tempted to test.thanks for the luck . pretty much have two more cycles to try because dh is insisting we stop after 24cycles.

How is everyone's Saturday?

Penguin27 · 04/03/2017 16:48

No poas for me, mimi - AF is here! I think today is cycle 2, CD2. Not sure when to expect ov or when my fw will be, so I'm just downloading Ovia!

My weekend is dull, we're failing to think of something cheap and cheerful to do tonight. Never mind!

Seven0fNine · 04/03/2017 17:23

Hello lovelies,
I was getting a bit carried away reading the AIBU boards then! Some are quite funny :D

Jupiter lol @ the lube...it is a bit weird...but who cares!
Bleeds since being off the pill have been fairly light, not painful and lasting 4 days (except the last one). The AF today is still very light but dark brown (sorry TMI). I guess the main thing I'm worried about is the bleeding going on so long this month. Had to give my DH a handy (ha!) because I still have swollen tonsils and my v-jj is outta action...such a waste of sperm!!!

Anyway I've had that pain too this month. Quite a bit this last week on both sides. I'm seeing it as a good sign they're trying to do something...

Laura that all sounds very exciting. It makes things seemed more fresh and new when you have a good sort out - without the stress of having to move for now :D

mrsC I hope you're OK - did you have lots of nausea/sickness in your last pregnancy?

Hope you feel nice and relaxed now after yoga Grumpy xx

My weekend is going alright thanks Mimi - was working this morning and now looking at the two week challenge DH and I are starting tomorrow. It seems quite hardcore with intermittent fasting and lots of eggs but it's more me supporting DH as it was his idea so I'm just going with it cos I'm a nice wife and if I don't do it I won't eat as he's the chef in this house...

Cocktails30 · 04/03/2017 17:38

Hi ladies,

I hope you don't mind me dropping in. I've been reading the thread for a couple of days and was keen to join you as we had sort of decided late summer might be 'the time' for us. However, we have been going through some genetic research (due to a condition on hubby's side) and some developments this week have shown we probably won't be able to try naturally (well, we could but the risk of carrying it on is too high). So we are exploring ivf with pgd (pre-implantation genetic diagnosis) as a possibility. Very different from all you girls, but I sort of want to feel normal so hope I can stick around :)

AllTheGlitters · 04/03/2017 18:31

Welcome Cocktails ! Congrats on deciding to TTC Grin

That does sound like a lot to have to go through and think about, but it's great that you have done all this preparation so can avoid the heartache of what might have happened if you conceived naturally.

You're very welcome to stick around, the ladies on this thread are lovely and we are always glad to offer support Flowers

Cocktails30 · 04/03/2017 19:01

Thank you so much AllTheGlitters - and I see congratulations are in order for you!

I'm finding it hard as I still don't really know if I want children yet! But we had thought well, we'll let it happen if it is meant to, but now that's sort of taken away from us! We have an appointment with the geneticist later this month and see whether what we think is the case actually is, or if they want to draw it on longer with further tests. We think we will ask to be referred to PGD though.

As a bit of background, there's a 50/50% chance that we would pass the gene to the baby. Then, if it gets the gene, there's a 65% chance in boys it will have the disease and and 45% chance in girls. So, we could consider natural pregnancy and then a CVS test in early pregnancy, but then if they find the gene the baby may not necessarily have the disease! And you could go on and on with it happening in every pregnancy! But still may consider it... I think we are best seeing the outcome of our appointment.

Also, I saw one of you ladies had the test for Zika. This is another concern if we take the natural route as we are potentially going to Florida in May and if we take the natural route I'm not sure I want to wait 6 months after getting back!

Thank you for welcoming me and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and seeing you progress on your journeys.

Mummyme87 · 04/03/2017 19:45

So had lots of EWCM tonight, lower back ache and a negative OPK (although darker than last night). Confused. Will maybe try another BD tonight since we might have missed an Uber early FW.

Test drive cars today. Honda CRV is out... didn't like it and seemingly at a Volvo price. Loved the Tiguan but loved the Volvo a little more... but that maybe because we test drive a 2.5L in sport mode 😤 We won't be getting that

MrsC2017 · 04/03/2017 19:58

Hi cocktails that really does sound like a lot to consider but it's great to get all information and explore all avenues before making a decision, so it sounds like you doing everything right! Anyway as glitters said all the ladies here are lovely and supportive! hb will be able to fill you in on the zika test, it means not having to wait 6months anyway! 😊

Seven0fNine · 04/03/2017 20:05

Haha unlucky mummy!! Sounds like lots of fun! At least you've narrowed it down a bit!

Welcome cocktails what an interesting story and a difficult situation to be put into. Sounds like you've already made a decision though which is good. It's amazing what these doctors can do isn't it! When is the appointment? xx

Cocktails30 · 04/03/2017 20:27

It's in a couple of weeks, but we are two years into genetic testing already so I just hope we are now in a position to go forward and not keep on testing more family members! On our first appointment two years ago she talked us out of pgd as they didn't know enough and the condition wasn't licensed. I've since found that it is now if the mutation is in a particular gene, which I think it is with our family history, so fingers crossed she might be more open to referring us. But then there's still a long wait :( I have a feeling though she is just going to want to take blood from us to test next and then another 8 month or so wait to find out more. They don't rush! So I don't think she will refer us yet. My oh is also older than me so time isn't on our side! I'm so frustrated by it and part of me wants to try naturally and CVS test but I have my fears about that.

Hope everyone is having a nice Saturday evening! I'm not liking work at the moment so already dreading Monday Hmm.

I love car shopping! After 5 years we have just made the last payment this month on my oh's car! I'm trying to convince him to wait a year before getting a new one but he's already look Angry.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 04/03/2017 20:46

Hi it's the crazy symptom spotting lady with the BFN tests every day.. so my breasts are noticeably veiny (I am olive skinned so never see them normally) nipples larger areolas darker and more bumpy. There is lots of milky wet CM (thought it was AF earlier today). Fuck's sake, I think Mother Nature is laughing at me!

Welcome cocktails!

confusedat23 · 04/03/2017 21:28

Grumpy i love you hun but you need to calm down!!!!! 11dpo is too early give it till Monday and pee on that stick Grin

Welcome Cocktails nice to meet you... its always intetesting to hear about other people journeys! The Zika thing is easy to get around btw our girl HB can tell you about that one =)

Seven is there any chance it is IB?

Mummy it sounds like ov is imminent! I would also get the Volvo tbh

Jupiter you crack me up!... my DH was like why are you posting someone your lube... so i explained and even he said i was weird BlushSad but they were all sealed and unused plus they are really expensive!! Lol

I got my letter through today to tell me i will get a letter through in the next 2 weeks for my booking in appointment! I'm so excited to get to meet my midwife and everything.

On a different note i currently have a volcano like spot growing on my chin... again who said pregnance is Glamorous!?!?! Lol
