TWW - anyone else testing in early March?

satsoooma · 20/02/2017 16:24

I'm just starting the dreaded TWW and could use some company. All the other threads on this seem to have reached the testing stage already.

I am 2-3 dpo and planning to test on 4 March. We have been TTC for about 18 months and are getting fertility treatment. I am pretty sure I ovulated this month though, so I have have high hopes for this cycle.

I'm sorry to hear af showed up satsooma and banania.

Congrats stephy.

I'm 11 dpo and desperately trying not to symptom spot. I didn't have any symptoms with DS so trying not to read too much into any little changes in the way I feel. Will probably test in the morning as we're heading to DP's parents tomorrow night and dinner usually involves a few bottles of wine.

ethelfleda · 02/03/2017 12:19

Congrats stephy !!

I'm sorry to hear about AF showing her ugly face satsooma and banania

Hang in dangle you're not out until you're out! Still keeping my fingers crossed for everyone else as well!!
I'm 10dpo today and still exhausted. Anyone testing on Monday?? That's when AF is due for me!

boatrace30 · 02/03/2017 13:41

A bad day on this thread... AF just turned up for me too. 9DPO (and last month was 8DPO). It means I have a short luteal phase so even if an egg fertilises it has no chance to implant. Think I need to start thinking about doctors...

NotQuiteJustYet · 02/03/2017 13:57

boatface Slightly odd suggestion, have you considered acupuncture? I've heard good things when it comes to lengthening a luteal phase.

NotQuiteJustYet · 02/03/2017 13:58

*boatrace, even. Autocorrect...

boatrace30 · 02/03/2017 13:59

I haven't, always been a bit suspicious of alternative therapies... but getting to a point where I would consider it (might just have to hide it from my super rational DH)

dangle90 · 02/03/2017 14:20

Sorry about AF satsooma. Sad** massive hug! Xxxx

Firsttimeandclueless · 02/03/2017 14:47

So sorry boatrace Hugs!

I have heard of connections between acupuncture and luteal before, you never know. :)
Nobody ever mentions how frustrating this whole process is. :/

satsoooma · 02/03/2017 14:58

Thanks everyone!

Sorry you are having rubbish days too banania and boatrace.

Boatrace, my advice is to go to the doctor earlier rather than later. I knew something was wrong in my case and wish I had gone earlier, rather than wait until we had been TTC for quite a while. There are often quite long waiting lists for further tests and treatments.

And boatrace :( x

dangle90 · 02/03/2017 15:01

Just seen your post Ethel, thank you Hun, cramps are coming thick and fast now so sure it won't be long til I'm out too x

ethelfleda · 02/03/2017 15:59

boatrace if it helps, they prescribe acupuncture on the NHS for back problems. I had it for my shoulder and it's the only thing that worked for me. I doubt they'd prescribe it for fertility but if they do use it for other things then it must be effective
I'm sorry to hear that dangle and I really hope that isn't the case for you! Flowers

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 02/03/2017 17:37

Hi ladies, I have 7 days left till test day and I'm getting ancy! We did on the last day of the fertile window and the day after. Are we I'm for a chance? Or should I presume it's defdo not gonna happen this month?

Andysgirl15 · 02/03/2017 17:38

Boatrace sorry to hear af got you. Here's some info for you

There’s some evidence taking B6 can increase the LP in some women by 1-4ish days, and to increase absorption it’s recommended to take it with other B vits. So, most recommend a B50 complex (50mg of B6) once a day. There are some unsubstantiated claims out there that taking more than 100mg of B6 may cause fetal abnormalities, thus why B50 is recommended.

Taking progesterone would lengthen it as well, but you run the risk of screwing up your cycles with the extra hormones, so that’s something to do only with a doc’s approval

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 02/03/2017 17:40

Would have been cycle day 17 and 18. My period usually arrives on day 28-30

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 02/03/2017 17:41

Also sorry to hear of the AFS thays have arrived this week. XxFlowers

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 02/03/2017 17:43

Just to add (apologies for many posts) I had the egg white discharge on day 13 and 14

boatrace30 · 02/03/2017 17:53

Thanks all for the advice. Satsooma I did start the process with doctors quite early last time, I fell pregnant just after my first progesterone blood test!! I've now been trying for longer than with DD but expect they won't take me seriously as I have conceived naturally.
Satsooma I really do feel for you. I know how gutted I feel and how much worse it must be for you FlowersFlowersFlowers
I've been taking B6 but not a B50 complex so might give that a go. Thanks for the suggestion.
I've also had a quick look into acupuncture as know a local lady who is highly recommended. It's just very pricey, which I don't care about but DH might!

boatrace30 · 02/03/2017 17:53

Mama - there is always a chance!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 02/03/2017 19:50

Mama it ain't over til the red bitch sings

dangle90 · 02/03/2017 20:46

Don't want to give myself false hope but felt different today :/ nauseous, head ache and past few days really thirsty! Anyone been really thirsty so early on if they've had previous pregnancies?

TheGrumpySquirrel · 02/03/2017 20:49

I got a pink squinter! But I reached my photo limit so can't post it !! I've also felt super thirsty today. The biggest thing has been constant lower backache for a week

dangle90 · 02/03/2017 20:51

Aww we wanna see squirrel! Congrats if it is! Flowers So strange, never felt so thirsty!! Unless I've got a raging hangover Grin! I don't want to let myself think it's a symptom incase AF rears her ugly head sat and it's just my body playing tricks as usual!

Oysterbabe · 02/03/2017 21:39

Exciting news Squirrel Grin
Sorry about the witch getting a few of you today, especially you Satsooma You sound so calm and positive, I'm really hoping it happens for you soon.
I've decided to test in the morning. I'll be 14DPO and even though I swore I'd wait until 15DPO, I think I'll be able to trust the result one way or the other. I've been feeling pretty odd today and I want to know whether it is just post pill crazy hormones as I suspect.

dangle90 · 02/03/2017 21:52

Good luck oyster let us know how you get on
