Salem Reference your opks, I noticed you’re using the 20 pack dual hormone ones, and you know I’m using the 10 pack which are slightly different. Anyway reference the cost, I contacted CB and asked them why they didn’t just sell re-fill strips and why I have to keep buying the digital reader. CB’s response was that the digital reader only lasts two cycles and that’s why they discontinued the 20pack of the OPK’s that I’m using. So I’m wondering whether the digital reader could either be faulty or be running out.
Archies - that’s really lucky that you got all those freebies, thank you for sharing. Shame they’ve stopped the trial but worth keeping our eyes out ladies. I’m thinking I might need a second mortgage to pay for these OPK’s and PG tests soon!
Charley Looks like you’re close to ovulating, fxls (fingers crossed legs spread). I only test once a day with first morning urine. When I first started with the IC’s I was POAS twice a day and confused myself too much as the lines went from light to non-existent back to light. I know if you drink too much that can affect the result and your supposed to hold your pee for 4 hours…. Like a child, I can’t manage this. It’s only CD13 for you today and if you don’t normally ovulate till 13 or 14 I’d try and stay calm (says the stress head over here who is having the exact same fear thoughts as my OPK line seemed lighter this morning (CD12) and I usually ovulate on 14 or 15).
Magpie Not long to go now, we’re all rooting for you. Do not entertain thoughts of secondary infertility at this stage, just relax (says the stress head over here) and stay positive.
Bella You’re spot on hun, the smiley OPK does add to #PMA. Fingers crossed you’re still testing too early, but remember you have another 3 prep cycles before you have to officially start counting lol. And reference the dtd during the 2ww – I’ve read that when ttc you should have sex regularly throughout the entire cycle to keep the sperm fresh and flowing.
MrsT Yes the pity party is shit, we’ve all been to it and occasionally we pop back, only to be reminded how rubbish it is. Our motto on here is that every month we are one step closer to our BFP. Do not entertain thoughts of secondary infertility at this stage, just relax (says the stress head over here) and stay positive. I have read that burping is a symptom. Eeeeeek fingers crossed for you too
Salem Reference your comment that you worry you won’t be able to have DC’s – I think this is completely normal when you haven’t got any, especially when you’re in your thirties as we’re brainwashed to believe that it gets harder. I’ve read this is bollocks, the only reason the stats are skewed is because over the many years they’ve been collecting data, most women conceive in their twenties and on the whole less women try in their 30’s and 40’s. Don’t buy into this…. Remember we all bought into ‘have unprotected sex once and you’ll get pregnant’ that was clearly bollocks too! I think you would really benefit from meditation and pregnancy affirmations to get your subconscious mind fully on board. Just google getting pregnant affirmations and loads come up. Record them on your phone and listen to them as much as possible.
In terms on your results pics, they look fairly positive so I would just carry on dtd as much as possible and try not to stress (easier said than done from the hypocrite over here)
Dolly If you’ve still got a positive OPK just keep dtd as much as possible I say.
MrsB You are a trooper, we’re all rooting for your BFP, you’ve got so much patience. My friend runs a lot and she doesn’t have periods, she’s really slim. Maybe you should eat some cake and run less, but then if you enjoy it and you want to do it, then go for it.
Something Fingers firmly crossed for your BFP. Metallic taste is definitely a symptom …. Eeeeeeeek excited for you
Blondie Not long to go until your BFP. Will you be testing early? How long are your cycles hun?
NannyG This sounds promising, good will power holding out till the weekend! Fingers firmly crossed for you too. Keep us posted please.
Cakes Welcome to thread PMA. Sorry to hear you have AF but you’re in the right place for fun and support from some lovely ladies.
