#2 PMA all the way to BFP xxx

So we've maxed out our first thread, the positivity is building up nicely and we're joyfully moving on to a brand new thread...

This thread is for anyone TTC and is bursting with positivity, love and support as we cruise towards our BFP's.

New rules instead of saying AF due we say BFP due ...
Also you do not have to add your age or what cycle number you're on if you don't want to ...

The ultimate aim is to get everyone to destination BFP ASAP...
however the bus ride may take a little longer for some of us ...
it doesn't matter if you take the scenic route ...
as long you get there.

So plug in your stats and off we go xxx

Bella I can see your point on cycle # it definitely helps to bring some perspective but at the same time it may give a false picture ... I'll use my own situation as an example ... I'm 38 yrs old tTC #1 and on cycle 4 ... but as some of you ladies already know my dp works shit loads and doesn't want to start trying properly till later on in the year ... this basically means that I only get to dtd once in fw if I'm lucky. Whilst most couples tTC are dtd every day or every other day in fw.. I kind of feel on the back foot and at a slight disadvantage. I don't want anyone looking at my stats and thinking 'oh she's struggling tTC cuz she's older' ... it would be the wrong conclusion to draw at this stage .... once dp is fully on board I feel that every cycle will count much more. But like I said ... I do see why it helps ... it's reassuring to know that it's normal for tTC to take a while. I naively thought it would happen just by having unprotected sex ... never knew what an opk was till recently :))) lol

I was the same when I was away last month moo! Was putting opk in my back pocket before going to the toilet haha!

Hippy all it takes is one little swimmer! With all your PMA I don't think your BFP is far away.

I'm on day 9 today and just realised I was meant to dtd yesterday for smep! Whoops! I don't normally ovulate until day 14-15 so I'll dtd tonight and then follow it from tomorrow anyway. Hope I haven't messed it up already!

age 33, ttc #2, cycle 3 (but like you say what does it matter) and bfp due 18th March (but that's just a rough guess based on the average length of the 3 cycles I've had so far)

Sorry just a quick one again, trying to do a bit of decluttering - people talk about nesting when you're pregnant, but perhaps ttc has the same effect :)

yes totally understand different ways people will perceive cycle # @hippy and as you say, you may have had a cycle where you know you probably won't conceive as you haven't DTD around ovulation. as much as my DH is fully on board, this could also happen to me if either of us are unwell or working away at time of OPK. i'd echo the "only takes one swimmer" comment as we're all in the same boat maybe we could count active cycles (that's if you want to and/or if you find it helpful)?

I'm the same Hippychic, but I always get stalled when I'm sorting, as find things and end up looking through them rather than getting on with the task in hand!

I'm not sure whether we'll ever manage to dtd every other day now either, as DH has long shifts, so when he comes off days he's tired and then he works nights too. We'll just have to try to make the most of what we can manage :)

Well I wish my one swimmer would identify himself!! Stand up and be a man and fertilise an egg will you??!! 😂 Xx

Thanks for the gold star hippy, was pretty miserable yesterday mind you, but just from a hormones/mood point of view I generally feel better as soon as AF arrives and I never used to realise af was counted as the beginning of your cycle not the end, every cloud!

Slipped an ic opk into the toilet. Pee'd on it. Didn't work. No more wee left. Fml if you didn't laugh you'd cry! We're heading out tomorrow so will do one on the public toilets. I thought I would be fine but it's actually driving me crazy not knowing! Xo

morning ladies - i'm in the wide awake club which is infuriating as it's day off and i'm up at work o'clock! but with PMA in mind, i'm making the most of my alone time by... googling symptoms!

isn't Mother Nature cruel at times? during this 2WW most of the symptoms i'm experiencing are an early sign of pregnancy AND pre-menstrual signs .

if no BFP this cycle i'll draw on this first ones experience, feelings, apprehension and anxieties to hopefully help me chill the fcuk out 🙈

for all on days off, hope you have a nice time and those working, hope it's a productive day
