Hello. Im currently 3-4 DPO (days post ovulation) with AF/BFP (Aunt Flo/Big Fat Positive) due 22-25th Feb! Did plenty baby dancing so fingers crossed and have promised myself not to symptom spot or go Google crazy this time. Ive also swore not to test until 18th Feb ... Do i have anyone in similar place so we can support each other and talk (while avoiding google lol) xx

teaandbics · 14/02/2017 14:38

Oh nature. Been there! It's rubbish how mental this ttc malarkey makes us. Look at it as a temporary blip. And anyway, it's best to get the crazy out of way early doors. That's what I normally tell myself anyway Wink. Hide the tests now! Xx

OnNaturesCourse · 14/02/2017 15:55

Feel like such a failure 😞 oh well...

OP posts:
PurpleTygrrr · 14/02/2017 17:26

Nature you are not a failure at all!! We all feel exactly the same an I've already done one of the cheapy tests today at only 4 dpo because I'm so impatient! BFP obviously but I'm symptom spotting like a nutter! I've had some light period type pains, a metallic taste in my mouth but I know it's probably all in my head as it's far too early! I just feel like we waited so long to be in a position to TTC that I just want it to happen now... Which is just going to make it harder in the long run!!

teaandbics · 14/02/2017 17:47

Purple is right, of course you're not a failure! You just desperately want this, we all do, and that makes us do crazy stuff like testing even when we know it's too early to get an answer. Dust yourself down my lovely and back to the weekend testing plan. And if that doesn't work, who cares? The 2ww is about getting through, however you need to. It's just nice to have some kindred spirits going through it at the same time xx

PurpleTygrrr · 14/02/2017 18:09

Exactly! I'm going to try my hardest to wait now but if we slip up and test early we shouldn't be too hard on ourselves!

Just realised I put BFP before instead of BFN! Blush

BumpleLeeds · 14/02/2017 18:54

I did it too Nature. Tested way too early just cos I had tests in the house. And then... no surprise a BFN. I've ordered some new tests to be delivered on Friday, so I won't test until Saturday morning. Now just need to keep busy, and away from the shops, until then!! I'm symptom spotting too Purple!! The TWW makes crazy ladies of us!! Patience and good luck to us all... Fingers crossed for some bfp's at the weekend Smile

OnNaturesCourse · 14/02/2017 19:09

Im crazy just now cos i constantly felt sick over last 3 days, and was off my food... But i got hungry today, but still getting waves of sick feeling. Silly bug doing the rounds at work !

Is it too late to join the convo?!

I'm also anticipating AF 24th Feb - day before my 33rd bday 😕

TTC #1 been trying more seriously since September. Trying to avoid google for the moment but who knows what will happen this week!
X

Sorry for the bfn's - I'm in the same club unfortunately. Despite my best efforts I tested this morning with a FRER and it was a very clear bfn. I'm 9 dpo. I got a positive at 9 dpo in my last pregnancy (which sadly ended in a loss) but on reflection that started as a twin pregnancy so perhaps that explains why as 9 dpo is still quite early. That said I don't feel remotely pregnant this month so feel like I'm probably out. I find the blow of af arriving easier somehow if I've tested negative ahead of it if that makes sense?

Anyway I won't now test unless af doesn't put in an appearance....well I'll not to test anyway!! Xx

OnNaturesCourse · 14/02/2017 20:48

Im sorry to hear that Welsh - cant imagine how it feels to 'just know'... must be disappointing :( BFN could still change though, at 9DPO you could still be in the early implantation stage, no?

I'm upset with myself and lack of BFP so I'm comforting myself with pizza, tea and chocolate. Ill pay for it tomorrow but its making me feel better tonight!!

Oh Nature Not to worry at all, it's not the end of the world, and we're all guilty of doing similar at some point. I've been distracting myself with online shopping and cleaning/organising in my spare time! Any moment of idleness my mind then starts to wonder to the drawer of tests! (slaps own back of hands) no no I mustn't! Lol! I know many of you are waiting till Saturday (only 4 days to go!) I read somewhere that some women pee on cotton buds to quash their need to poas. Could work?? A hell of a lot cheaper Grin.

And snap! Shock teaandbics on the constipation.. haha :) I'm going to see if it happens again this time round.. if so it should be due around Saturday Hmm Bumple & Purple as you can clearly see.. I'm an avid symptom spotter too!! Blush Talking of symptoms, today's is zlich.. sigh..

Pingu me too, I'm so excited for 4 days time onwards! Everything crossed for BFP's all around :)

AJ84 You're AF is due the same day as me! :) I'm either 23rd/24th. I'm also TTC#1 too. When do you plan to test?

Ah Welsh AF is yet to arrive and I think you're right about HCG being more present earlier due to the twin pregnancy (again I'm so sorry for your loss Flowers) but I do think wait and see still, 9dpo is still early. xx

AJE84 · 14/02/2017 21:43

I'll try & hold out as long as possible. It's unlikely AF will arrive earlier than that & i can be quite irregular so I will prob test the day before - unless I have some crazy symptoms!! don't think I have any tests in the house actually! X

appleseedpip · 14/02/2017 21:56

AJE84 That's great that you haven't got any tests in the house to test early! Could be useful to keep it like that Wink. x

teaandbics · 14/02/2017 23:40

Hello everyone,

bumble and welsh, sorry to hear about the bfns, but they are early so not out yet.

bumble, keeping busy is the key isn't it? I'm surprised I haven't broken google with searches about testing. If I'm not poas, I'm googling about it Confused

welsh, I'm so sorry for your loss. What a rubbish time you've had. 9dpo is still early so don't lose hope yet. I have everything crossed for us all.

apple it's a strange life when you're waiting and hoping to be constipated! Grin

pingus hope you're still managing to avoid the lurgy. What you said about your dd and mat leave was lovely.

Hi AJ! Wish I'd been sensible like you. I have enough tests to rival Boots here, they are practically calling my name! Must keep sitting on my hands!

harryandharry · 15/02/2017 06:29

Hello everyone! For me, it's the 3rd month of trying to get pregnant for the second time in my life (the first one was 10 years ago and had to be terminated). No luck yet. I'm not sure when I ovulated but I assume it was around Day 14 as I usually have very regular 28 day cycles. So far I have had no symptoms out of the ordinary except for seeing a miniscule amount of blood on Day 25. My period was due yesterday so I did an HPT today but it was negative. Now I have dull cramps (normal for me) and a feeling of wetness (less so). I am really trying not to get my hopes up as I know I'll just be disappointed.

tuxie11 · 15/02/2017 08:28

Hi AJ8 and apple

I am too due on the 23rd! I haven't bought any tests as it's my first cycle ever (oh the naivety!) so not sure when to do it. I am 6DPO so could probably get a FRER for Sunday at 10DPO but not sure how I would feel about a BFN (even if too early) Confused my first 2WW and it's been torturous! Flowers to all who have gone through this for so long

OnNaturesCourse · 15/02/2017 12:10

I have a inside pinching pain just above my pelvic bone. Its been there for over 24 hours. Kinda on the right but went right across a few times last night... I dunno if something is going on with my ovary? Like would that be so low down?

OP posts:
appleseedpip · 15/02/2017 15:02

tuxie11 I am actually pretty new to this whole 2WW too to be honest, this is only my 2nd real cycle of TTC but you do get easily carried away with everything! I personally would wait at least till 12 DPO to be sure (and save the POAS's Wink).

It really depends on each person how they would feel about when they would get their result. Some people would rather know their AF is due and that they're out for that month. I personally would rather test later eg. on the day or after my period is due. As if it's negative I don't have to have an excruciating long wait for my AF to turn up or I don't have to fear a chance of a chemical pregnancy.. but that's just me. Whichever you decide we're all here rooting together! :)

Nature how many DPO's are you again? That sounds similar to what I had before when I was pregnant. Fingers crossed for the weekend!

Today's symptoms is zero again :( ho hum..

OnNaturesCourse · 15/02/2017 15:15

Im only 8DPO. Im doubting PG related as ive no sore boobs, other than the days over ovulation. Im wondering what else it could be, cyst maybe? Ive had one before but it was a while ago and i remember the pain being higher but i could be wrong. I stupidly tested yesterday and a BFN. Appendix maybe??

OnNaturesCourse · 15/02/2017 15:16

Hows everyone else today?

OP posts:
tuxie11 · 15/02/2017 15:25

apple thank you. I agree - I don't have any tests anyway so I'll think I'll stick it out as far as I can go. POAS is kind of terrifying as I've never done it!

nature I'm only 6DPO but feel so bloated and burping more! I have zero appetite so had some toast for lunch and now I feel like I couldn't touch food again. I've no sore boobs either, just a spot of dizziness here & there, and no energy really. Been sneezing a little with a runny nose too, which is lovely!

OnNaturesCourse · 15/02/2017 15:36

Tuxie... Good idea not to have tests about. Too tempting once you start poas youll never stop!! 😂. Unfortunately there is no magic stick to really see whats going on n our minds play tricks!

OP posts:
OnNaturesCourse · 15/02/2017 18:37

Hows everyone tonight? My brain is symptom spotting so playing the distraction game!
