Hello. Im currently 3-4 DPO (days post ovulation) with AF/BFP (Aunt Flo/Big Fat Positive) due 22-25th Feb! Did plenty baby dancing so fingers crossed and have promised myself not to symptom spot or go Google crazy this time. Ive also swore not to test until 18th Feb ... Do i have anyone in similar place so we can support each other and talk (while avoiding google lol) xx

welsh I used one steps when I got pregnant with DD and got a BFP at 14 dpo, didn't test before that. And the tests got darker over the following days, which was reassuring. I've still got them in a bag in my wardrobe and they still have the lines on, 3.5 years later! So I've bought a shed load more this time! According to the packet they are more sensitive now too, my older ones were 20 thingies per wotsit and the new ones are 10. But I've also heard mixed reviews.

Had cramping today, thought it may have been implantation but then DH started with a D&V bug, so worried it might be that instead. Desperately hoping that he keeps it to himself! Would not be good for potential beans.

teaandbics · 12/02/2017 21:29

appleseed what a lovely message. You're right, it's really comforting to see all of the support, positivity and encouragement here. I have absolutely everything crossed for all of us!

It's weird about opks isn't it? Especially when they start showing you're ovulating again. It's so confusing. This month I had one flashing face and then the next day had a solid smiley face showing peak. I had 6 days of flashing last month before peak showed. So my body still seems to be doing strange things and I'm not holding out too much hope this month.

welsh I'm intrigued, what is conceive plus? Sounds like a magic potion I need to be finding out about! Smile

teaandbics · 12/02/2017 21:32

pingu hope the bug stays away from you!

OnNaturesCourse · 12/02/2017 21:36

apples of course not, im very open.. And as vain as it sounds we dont want a Christmas/new year birth. 😕

pingus hoping you dont get the bug! Ladies ive read online that occasionally the ovulation kits can pick up slight LH at any point, as we all carry a bit but some more than others. You only have two surges (ie previous failed ovulation) if you get two definite positives (same colour or darker test line) I am thinking that as my last peak was so clear that i dont think it could get darker that i am maybe just someone who carries a little LH high normally? Xx btw i am loving the support in here xx

Thanks ladies! I wish conceive plus was a magic potion!! I've actually just realised I've called it totally the wrong thing - it's actually called pre-seed (god knows how I got that so wrong). It's a fertility friendly lubricant. It's supposed to mimic EWCM so in theory makes the journey up to the egg easier for the sperm. God knows if it works or not but a friend swore by it after 3 mc's. I kind of thought 'in for a penny' this month.

I caught myself checking back at my photos of my tests when I was last pregnant earlier working out how early I had a BFP. Guessing I'm not going to dodge that whole 'getting obsessed' thing!

I also wanted to say I'm sorry to hear of all of the losses you ladies have experienced. It's just so awful to lose a baby - just heartbreaking xx

OnNaturesCourse · 12/02/2017 22:02

Ahhh ive heard of that welsh and think i might look into it as my CM has all but disappeared unless im actually doing the baby dance. Last month, first off birth control, it was crazy and went super stringy which im lead to believe is super fertile so concerned i didnt get that this month. Xx

welsh there are 2 products that do the same thing. Preseed and conceive plus, just different manufacturers. Preseed irritated both mine and DH's bits, conceive plus hasn't.

reluctantlondoner · 12/02/2017 22:16

Hi ladies, I am half way through the TWW, please can I hop on! I was so busy at work last week I managed to distract myself but as test date draws nearer (18th) I find myself thinking more and more could this be our month? TTC#1 been off the pill for over a year... we don't manage to DTD that much so I hope there's nothing wrong just a case of not timing it right / DTD often enough... at least that is what I tell myself...! Fingers crossed for us all ladies xxx

OnNaturesCourse · 12/02/2017 22:22

reluctant welcome, come n have a seat. 😁 when do you plan on testing? How are you feeling? Xx

teaandbics · 12/02/2017 23:10

Aha I see, thanks welsh and rufus. May have to try some of this stuff (obviously hoping I won't need to...)

passmethewine123 · 13/02/2017 06:54

Eurgh woke up this morning, took my temperature and I've have a massive temperature drop which most likely indicates I didn't ovulate properly the other day 😩😪 so frustrating as it was all looking promising and my temps were rising nicely so this is not welcome news!

WelshMammy123 · 13/02/2017 08:04

Sorry to hear that passmethewine. Does that mean you'll hopefully ovulate later this cycle? It's all so frustrating isn't it?

Well I caved and took a one step test this morning. BFN - as white as snow. I'm 8dpo which I know is early but I keep seeing people getting accurate results even at this early stage so am thinking I might be out. I have absolutely no symptoms whatsoever so no reason to think it might have been BFP but to be honest last month I had loads of symptoms and it was bfn so perhaps I'm not great at the symptom spotting and I suspect these symptoms are sometimes in my head.

If I am out this month then I've got to find a way to calm down next month - I'm not working at the moment and think that might be giving me too much time to obsess! X

reluctantlondoner · 13/02/2017 08:19

Thanks ONC. Will test on Saturday as that is when AF is due according to Glow app. But my periods are pretty irregular (I get one every month but cycle lengths vary from 25-35?!?)... tummy bloated and boobs painful, feels like PMS to me... really hope not though!

passmethewine123 · 13/02/2017 10:39

Welsh I'm not sure tbh! This is only my second cycle tracking things and the first month I only started part way through so I don't have much to compare to. I will just keep taking my temps and see what happens I guess 😕 it's odd as I was fairly certain I had ov'd on Thursday, I had several days of low temps and then my temp went up after thurs - couple with the cramping I had it all pointed towards a normal ovulation. Strange!

Try not to be too downhearted with the BFN, you are super early days and many people struggle to get positives with Internet cheapies even after a missed period! I'd get an FRER and try that in a few days x

emsler · 13/02/2017 11:02

DH and I were really good this month - DTD at least every second day in the run-up to getting +LPK, then every day post +LPK for four days. Just hoping this is our month! Of course I'm imagining symptoms left right and centre - trying to ignore them valiantly - encouragement welcome!

I've had a bad head cold during the 2WW for the last two cycles which of course has meant no cold medication meaning as well as being sad when I got a BFN / AF arrived, I was also very irritated at having had to suffer through cold symptoms with no Lemsip unnecessarily, grr. At least I don't have that this month!

reluctantlondoner - my cycles vary too, although the longer I track, the more I see that they're usually 30-33 days and anything else is an outlier. I try to wait until day 33 to test as otherwise I end up testing every day until AF arrives and it's just miserable!

teaandbics · 13/02/2017 11:07

pass so sorry to hear about the ovulation. It's gutting when you think everything's on track and then a spanner's thrown in the works. After reading about you and nature yesterday, I took an opk this morning as I was thinking about those months where I seemingly ovulated twice. The One Step has a second line on it, not quite as dark as the first but clearly there (tested twice, both times the same). Clearblue dual is showing negative (did I mention I'm a poas addict??). Not sure whether to ignore the One Step but am going to keep testing just in case. The madness has started...☹️

I have never done temping. Maybe that would help with any confusion. Can anyone tell me what brand of thermometer they'd recommend?

Hi reluctant. I think we're testing about the same time. Actually, it seems like there are a lot of us around 18th/19th.

welsh so sorry about the bfn. It is early though (she says, despite starting testing at 7dpo last month Blush). With my little boy, I didn't get a bfp till 18 dpo. So you're not nearly out yet xx

passmethewine123 · 13/02/2017 11:36

Mine thermometer is a one step Tea. It's good but the battery is starting to go on it so if you get one I'd recommend buying a spare battery for it just incase!

teaandbics · 13/02/2017 11:48

Oh thanks pass, and for the tip about the battery!

Emsler - encouragement here! Keep on ignoring the symptoms as best you can (from a fellow symptom spotter!). It's hard isn't it? I normally imagine all kind of twinges (none so far though) and can't work out which are real Smile

OnNaturesCourse · 13/02/2017 12:12

Morning all 😀 hope you are all well and not being driven crazy by symptom spotting. passme my temperature dipped too but its back up today so im thinking yesterday was just a off day? Going to see if i can get a picture of graph to get opinions on it from you lovely ladies xx

OP posts:
OnNaturesCourse · 13/02/2017 12:15

You can see the massive drop yesterday but rise today. Could I have just been feeling the cold? I have been stuffy n cold like over the weekend!

@OnNaturesCourse what app is that? I'm looking for a better tracker and it looks good! Graph looks good too. I think when we're looking for such tiny fluctuations it's easy to read too much into a slight dip but you can see it happening throughout the month so it could well just have been you feeling chilly!

Its called My Calendar. Looks like a pink diary with flower on it. I love it

Im home from work, house to myself. Someone talk me away from the pg tests... Damn bathroom drawer is full of them!

OP posts:
passmethewine123 · 13/02/2017 15:25

Step away from them 😂 if you pee now and it's bfn you will just wonder if it's because it's not FMU etc etc. At least hold out until the morning lol
