Congrats Eva!! Definitely a BFP!

Flora fx for you this month. It WILL happen eventually. 20-25% chance every month, your luck now is as good as any. Flowers

Seeing OH today for the first time in 2 weeks. We've been arguing like cat and dog whilst we've been apart so looking forward to some chill time with him (we oddly never argue when we're together!). Should ovulate next week so a fun week for us Grin

Pyjamas81 · 12/05/2017 11:40

Sorry I've been MIA everyone, I was finding it tough to keep up with two threads, but I just had to come back and say OMG EVA!!!!!! It feels like you and I have been in this together since the beginning and I am SO happy to see that glorious line!!! You've shown me there is hope after all 😊

florafoxtrot · 12/05/2017 11:43

Thanks Snooze - I know and I need to be more positive. Just keen to get this month out of the way as we'll have our test results too.

TobleroneBoo · 12/05/2017 12:37

Well my AF has arrived, on the morning I am going to get a massive cyst on my arse / fanjo looked at

KittyKat73 · 12/05/2017 16:13

Eva Amazing news! keep us up to date with how you are getting on!! first the engagement now this! sooo happy for you!!

aww no toblerone that sounds awful! hope your ok big glass of Wine for you after that!

Flora hoping that this is your month! i know it must be so frustrating every month doing exactly what we should be doing and nothing. Never give up hope its going to happen. When is your test results due?

Snooze hope you enjoy having your partner back! perfect timing for him to be home.

Since my last cycle was 59 days (im assuming it will slowly get shorter) think ill start testing CD20 to look out for ovulation.

I only have the CB ovulation sticks but was going to buy some cheapies does anyone have any recommendations ?? or do i just type in cheap ovulation sticks in amazon haha.

florafoxtrot · 12/05/2017 16:54

Kitty - I've heard people say that the One Step ovulation tests from Amazon are pretty good - I've never used them but guess they are cheap enough that if you thought you were starting to get lines on them then you double up and use the CB OPKs too?
I get my 21 day bloods in about a weeks time and then hubby gets his SA at the end of the month - I just get frustrated that we seem to do everything as we should and not a hint of anything. Patience doesn't seem to be one of my few virtues.

Hope you are OK Toblerone that doesn't sound too good. Wine for you!

MoonlightMojitos · 12/05/2017 16:58

eva you're upduffed!!!!! I'm so chuffed for you! Please try not to drive yourself mad with the piss sticks though! Congrats again! X

jene and blissful I'm good thanks for asking :) still here lurking too. I'm now 37 weeks so just waiting for him to make an appearance any day now (or hopefully anyway... I'm so done with pregnancy and really hope it's not another 5 weeks yet!). Howre you?

Eva30 · 12/05/2017 20:14

Thank you so much for all the lovely messages, I'm really touched! Yeah absolutely, what a month! Due date is January and wedding is booked for May eek, going to try to put it back to Sept.

kitty when I knew my cycles (ish) I used the one step ones because the CB ones are expensive and the one step do just as good a job.

moonlight can't believe you're nearly due!! That has gone so fast. So exciting!

Thank you PJs - I know I really feel like you were my cycle partner!! Keep the faith Flowers

toblerone how did it go, you definitely deserve a bottle this weekend!!

flora I hope they both go OK. In a way I wanted them to find something so that they could fix it and gave me answers, its a weird thing isn't it. Impatience is definitely one of my worst traits.

snooze enjoy your night Wink

Loxy4527 · 12/05/2017 21:58

Congrats Eva! That's fantastic :) Really hope it goes well x

TobleroneBoo · 13/05/2017 08:30

Thanks all! Well I got to the GP and it had started to ooze 🙈🙈 so I'm on some pretty heavy duty antibiotics.

Just have to keep reminding myself that I needed this AF as a sign my pill is coming out of my system

TobleroneBoo · 13/05/2017 08:30

Congratulations to you Eva!!

bassetmum · 13/05/2017 09:06

Congratulations eva. I see it too.

Wow full term mojitos!! That has gone so quickly. I hope your little man doesnt keep you waiting too long.

Kirsty sounds like you are doing well too.

Pjs I am with you on the keeping up to date on two threads.

Sorry to all the ladies where af has arrived. Mine is just exiting the building so getting ready for another fw.

JeNeBaguetteRien · 14/05/2017 19:49

Hope he arrives soon Moonlight, exciting times ahead! Let us know how you go.

Toblerone hope the cyst clears up ASAP.

I've been having a chilled weekend but thought I'd update after my fertility consultation on Friday.
It was an NHS appointment, I have been prescribed 3 months' worth of Clomid and am going to have a HSG so it feels like there is a bit of a plan. If this doesn't work we'll discuss IVF.
I have looked at some private clinics so will make that call if we need to.
I've been taking Boots Conception vitamins, plus ubiquinol, have now added Omega 3 and Vitamin D to the mix. Also having accupuncture which helps relax me if nothing else.

The consultant did say it's fine to have a few glasses of wine while TTC, said it was recommended and statistically better outcomes so PJs if you're reading this tell your DH! And good luck tomorrow.

Hope everyone has had a relaxing weekend. AF due in about a week so I will (presumably) be starting Clomid next week. DH has been warned that I may be extra hormonal and is a little worried...

florafoxtrot · 15/05/2017 09:49

Interesting to hear about the Clomid Baguette - do you know what the justification is for prescribing it?

Hope the antibiotics kick in soon Toblerone

I feel like I need to take the vitamins stuff more seriously as I'm really bad for forgetting and no idea if I am on the right mix of things.

Piehunter · 15/05/2017 10:55

EVA!!!!!! Grin congratulations! So so pleased for you. Fab to hear from kirsty and mojitos also!

baguette pleased to hear you have a plan of action now, FX massively for you that it happens before ivf

I'm lurking occasionally but struggling with thinking about TTC. I had 2 periods less than 2 weeks apart and my pelvic ultrasound showed something abnormal on my right ovary, questioning an abnormal cyst or possibly endometriosis. I'm not coping hormone wise with all this craziness of extra periods and PMT and all I want is to go back on the pill to be honest.. Need to find out what's growing in my pelvis and take it from there!

FairyAnn · 15/05/2017 15:58

Flora I know what you mean! I'm currently on folic, vitamin D and antihistamine daily but remembering all three every day is not always easy :)

Anban · 15/05/2017 18:42

Hello all.

DH and I have decided to start TTC next month!

We have been together 9 years, and thought that a 2018 baby would fit in with our 10 year anniversary and my 30th (gulp).

I have been tracking my cycle naturally for a couple of years so I am pretty in tune with my body, I am ovulating now so have a month to get my butt into gear and get healthy (goodbye G&Ts GinSad)

I am very open to any advice and tips you all have. Going to get me some supplements, book a GP app and I have my routine smear next week anyway.

So... yes hello all waves

TobleroneBoo · 16/05/2017 08:18

Thanks all, antibiotics are technically working a treat, but are having all different side effects. I have not stopped sweating and sleeping since I started them. The good news is that my first AF after stopping the pill is over with, lasted 4 days in all - would that be right? I thought it would be longer.

Anyway once I have more energy we will be back ttc!

DancingUnicorn · 16/05/2017 08:23

Toberlone mine has been 4 days since coming off the pill. Even then, only two of them are even remotely heavy. Two days of almost nothing. Definitely not complaining!

Almost maybe positive opk I think this morning. Ovia keeps changing my dates, but hopefully we can catch this little egg.

TobleroneBoo · 16/05/2017 08:41

Oh good Dancing! Yes I had two heavy ish and two of barely anything Smile

KittyKat73 · 16/05/2017 14:16

Thanks Eva and Flora ill get some of them ordered!

on CD7 patiently waiting for cd20 to start ovulation testing. dont think there will be much DTD until then as im very hairy patiently waiting on my preholiday wax Blush it will be a lights off no touching job haha!

toblerone yeah i would say thats normal :) hope your antibioitcs help!
Welcome Anban aww that would be a lovley way to celebrate 10 years and a 30th! FX for you
pie its good to hear from you! sorry to hear your having a rough time. do you know when they will have a definate result of what the cycst is for you?
Flora i have my folic acid infront of my kettle, my aim is when i make my morning cup of tea i take my tablet lol ( and i still forget at times)
Baguette that sounds like it was a really productive consultation which is great. FX your first month of clomid goes well and you get tyour BFP!

JeNeBaguetteRien · 16/05/2017 14:32

Oh Pie hope you get some answers soon. Sending lots of positive vibes.

Hope the symptoms and side effects clear up Toblerone.

Flora I'm not sure about the logic. As it's NHS I presume it's so much cheaper than IVF that it's cost-effective to try the Clomid and maybe also makes the patient feel better, like there's a plan in place. Obviously I'd be delighted if it worked. I have always got a peak on the Clearblue opks which I have used for the last 6 cycles but I don't temp and have had varying day 21 progesterone results so maybe the Clomid can be a bit of a nudge to the ovaries?

AF due at the weekend and I think I have some cramps already, I get spotting before AF. At this point I'm keen to try anything that's a bit less invasive before moving to IVF. Private fertility clinic said IUI would be a waste of time but gave a potential success rate of half of IVF but a quarter of the price so I'd be willing to try one or two cycles of that.

Welcome Anban try to have fun. You might decide not to totally ditch the g&ts, just cut down (or switch to something else).

JeNeBaguetteRien · 16/05/2017 14:34

Oh cross post with you Kitty, tell DH it's a 70s night. The bush is back!
I'm pleased with the consultation so fingers crossed for all of us, good luck with your blood tests.

KittyKat73 · 17/05/2017 16:07

haha thanks baguette although i think i have put the fear of god into DH i kept saying " im so hairy!! im so sorry but im soooooo hairy" so think im out of luck until holiday wax! xx

bassetmum · 17/05/2017 21:57

Fingers crossed for you baguette. Hopefully the clomid helps!! I'm taking (well when I remember) bots conception, q10 and omegas. Hopefully you aren't out this weekend.

Oh no pie. When I was a teenager I went through about 4 months of fortnightly periods it was awful. I hope it's nothing to ominous on your ovary.

Antihistamines fairy?? Ive been avoiding taking them as i read somewhere you shouldn't. Its been awful with my hayfever.

Hi ann. welcome! Im sure the odd g&t wont hurt. I met up with a friend yesterday and had half a bottle if wine plus another glass and a g&t. Felt so nice not to worry. Im 30 this year and been with my oh for 8 years. Its a secret item on my 30 before 30 list having a baby.

Hope you are feeling better toblerone.
*
Fx for a shorter cycle kitty!!* All i can say for grooming is I hope your DH is also groomed 😜.

Sorry for the radio silence been mega busy. Im cd 10 so far we've dtd on cd7 and 9. Not sure whether to try tonight or wait till tomorrow. My opk was negative today so think ive still got a few days.
