Unless I'm very much mistaken, AF has made her appearance. Angry

PillowFort · 29/04/2017 15:39

Thank you Unicorn, I've read it can even be a few weeks for some. Tricky old hormones. Do you know when you're hopefully expecting AF?

Very sorry to hear about AF arriving clean. Hope you can spoil yourself this weekend. Sad

DancingUnicorn · 29/04/2017 15:43

Pillow I'm expecting it any time. For the first time I'm willing its arrival!!

clean I'm sorry about AF. :( Hope you have something to look forward to.

cleanjean · 29/04/2017 16:17

Thanks you two. Not totally sure now as it was just one light bit of blood so far and nothing since, but was having quite bad leg and arm pains this morning and really moody lol. This has to have been the shortest cycle I've ever had, it's ALWAYS 5 weeks usually, but I've been under a huge amount of stress with work so makes sense.

Have to take a month off trying till the next AF so will use the time to get things sorted out and to pamper myself a bit. Haven't felt like I could drink this month "just in case" and I've got a boozy night out next month (not a big drinker usually lol).

Still, was really hoping to have to be sneakily sober on that night out Sadbummer! DH hasn't been very sympathetic, he doesn't know what it's like having sore breasts for two whole weeks and hoping that they will be worth it and not AF!

PillowFort · 29/04/2017 16:39

Is there a chance it could be implantation bleeding clean? I've got my fx for you, I know how frustrating not knowing is.

I don't blame you for willing it to arrive Unicorn. The sooner AF arrives the sooner you can get started! I hope AF doesn't keep you waiting too much longer.

DancingUnicorn · 29/04/2017 16:46

Yeah FX it's implantation clean. I had NO clue just how much waiting was involved in ttc... Desperately need to find things to make time pass more quickly!

Pillow It feels imminent. Am on knicker watch! Blush

cleanjean · 29/04/2017 18:42

Fx it's implantation but I highly doubt it (having a pity party lol!). I've been to the loo way more often than usual today, not coz I need (although I've been drinking loads of water), but to check for AF. No sign yet, but as gross as it sounds, she usually comes when I have a "period poo" lol and there's no way I'm going for that at work!!

cleanjean · 29/04/2017 18:46

Unicorn well at least you have a fellow knicker watcher here! Hope you get yours soon(and that I don't get mines!!).

beautyisfoundwithin · 29/04/2017 19:08

Wow so many posts since I last checked!

Hi Unicorn! So sorry to hear about your miscarriage Flowers

Sorry about your negatives Pillow, sounds frustrating as well if AF still hasn't showed but nor has a BFP. Fx you'll get the result you want even if it takes a few days. And so strange about your Johnson's baby hamper for Christmas?!

Hoping it's not AF for you clean.

As for me I'm still waiting on my positive OPK... still trying to DTD every other day just in case though.

DancingUnicorn · 29/04/2017 19:13

I'll try to take the AF vibes for the whole thread!

Thanks for the welcome Beauty Keep up the good EOD work. Think that's my plan mostly - planning to follow SMEP. Have no idea how it will work! Will be the most DTD in a month I've ever done!

PillowFort · 29/04/2017 19:45

Yeah, I thought it was strange beauty - I think they were attempting a not-so-subtle hint. Sounds like you've got all your bases covered this month, FX for you! Smile

Sorry to hear you're feeling bad clean, is there anything you can do to distract yourself this weekend?

Passing my AF vibes to you Unicorn! Grin

I'll keep you guys posted on what's sure to be a string of negative tests...

JeNeBaguetteRien · 29/04/2017 20:05

Sorry to hear about your MC Unicorn 🦄, hope AF shows for you.

Have fingers crossed Pillow, the baby basket gift is ultra weird. Like if you weren't TTC that would suddenly change your mind?! 🤔 Not sure what to say Clean except hope it's implantation.
I have to confess to a similar issue Basset, when AF comes she brings a southerly wind here too, hope you haven't knocked yourself out with the pong!

cleanjean · 30/04/2017 14:37

AF is most definitely here, so back to day 1. Got a big night out planned right after I think I'm due to ovulate this month... if it were you, would you guys keep trying anyway, or take a month off?

JeNeBaguetteRien · 30/04/2017 15:10

Bad luck Clean. I personally would keep trying but have been TTC for ages and wouldn't miss a month except for if one of us has to go away for work, and we try to minimise that. Right after ovulation it would take time to implant etc. That said it's up to you, you could decide at the time.

DTD this morning after DH fell asleep before I got to bed last night! Starting my opks again tomorrow so when I get static smiley he'll just have to stay awake 😉

DancingUnicorn · 30/04/2017 15:28

Clean right after ovulation, I believe the biggest risk of alcohol is that it prevents implantation. I don't think there's a huge risk to the baby at that point. Maybe you could just have a few non-alcoholic drinks mixed in there. Plus, there's no guarantee you will ov when you expect to! Obviously your choice though. Sorry about AF. :(

cleanjean · 30/04/2017 17:34

Thanks! So I'll keep DTD haha and if it happens it happens, if not then there's still the next month lol.

JeNe lol sure he'll be happy to wake up for that!

Loxy4527 · 30/04/2017 21:53

Bad luck, clean yeah I'm sure you'll be fine. If you do get pregnant one night of drinking after ovulation isn't going to have hurt the baby. :) have fun and enjoy yourself!

beautyisfoundwithin · 01/05/2017 09:29

Sorry about AF clean. I'm with the others - if it was me I wouldn't stop trying either. I don't know how long it's going to take to get a BFP so I wouldn't want to miss an opportunity!

Definitely a not so subtle hint Pillow! Fx it ends up actually being a useful present soon! This weekend I've been hoping to see a BFP update from you Smile

On the subject of not so subtle hints but in an opposite way - DH and I were chatting to his parents the other day and DH said he had some exciting news (something work related) and his step dad said in an excited voice "Oooh is is going to be the pitter patter of tiny feet?!" and his mum kind of groaned and said "Oh no I hope not." Only a silly comment I know but DH especially was a bit upset over it afterwards. No idea why it would be such a disaster!! Good thing we haven't told them we're TTC I suppose!

Hope everyone's having a nice BH!

DancingUnicorn · 01/05/2017 09:34

Oh beauty. That sucks. I'm sure your dh was upset! Don't blame him. Why don't people keep remarks like that to themselves?!

DancingUnicorn · 01/05/2017 09:37

Does anyone do temping? I've done 7 days of it yet, so not really expecting anything to come out of it. But it's literally a giant zig zag. Up and down by about .2 degrees every day. Is this normal?!

Loxy4527 · 01/05/2017 10:54

That tickled me a little Beauty as my MIL is the same. My parents are already grandparents and will love doing it all again (my nieces have just become teenagers so they're out of the cute stage lol) but my MIL is determined that she's "not ready to be a grandma thank you very much, you've got loads of time." Again, good thing she doesn't know. I love her but she's not very sensitive :P

PillowFort · 01/05/2017 14:47

Exactly JeNe, I mean we weren't ready to TTC until we had some Johnson's baby lotion - now we're set! Grin But yes, as beauty has said, hopefully it'll be useful soon...

I'm so sorry to hear AF has arrived clean. I would personally still TTC this month, but it's also whether you feel the break would do you some good. Do what you think is best for you. Smile

I'm sorry about MIL's comment beauty. It seems harsh, especially considering they had no idea what your news was. I don't think people think before they speak sometimes. You and DH know you're ready - it's not up to anybody else. Congratulations to your DH on his exciting work news!

My MIL is similar Loxy in that she says she isn't old enough to be a grandmother and we can't get pregnant until she's a certain age (weirdly the goalposts get moved every few birthdays!). I'm sure it's just a joke though and she'd be over the moon when it does happen.

I haven't tried temping yet Unicorn but only because I'm incredibly indecisive about which thermometer to buy!!! I hope the results start making more sense soon.

Another test and another BFN this morning. No AF yet either - I'll be a week late tomorrow. Hmm Symptoms have been up and down - some days I feel okay and other days I'm exhausted a couple of hours after getting up and nauseous all day. I'm going to have to call my GP in the morning. I just really don't want to be taking time off work for doctors appointments because it's only going to make the suspicious questions worse. Confused I don't mean to sound like I'm whining - just frustrated!

On a positive note, we reclaimed a lot of our garden from mother nature yesterday! And I didn't get attacked by a single spider. Wink

I hope everybody is having a lovely bank holiday weekend.

beautyisfoundwithin · 01/05/2017 16:20

Sounds like your MIL wants to avoid getting old Loxy! She'll just have to be a cool, un-granny-ish grandma when the time comesWink

The strange/upsetting thing about my MIL is that it's nothing to do with age or being a grandma, as she already is one! DH's sister has 3 kids who are very much the centre of everyone's universe, so the comment felt a bit personal, like grandkids are great, just not any children that DH and I might produce??? It's actually not the first time she's said something like that, we just have no idea why she feels that way...

You're so right Pillow! I said to DH what on earth would she have said if the news actually was a baby?! Awkward! Sorry to hear you've still not got any answers, I can understand your frustration. Well done on the garden front though! Sounds like you've been very productive!

Sorry Unicorn, I can't offer any help as I've not done any temping myself. Hope you get some answers soon!

Anna2006 · 01/05/2017 16:46

@Dancing unicorn

Don't usually comment on this thread but seeing as no one appeared to do any temping thought I would try help! I've charted my cycles for well over a year so am very used to it! Pre-ovulation temps can sometimes jump around a little bit but lutesl phase temps should stay a lot more consistent. But continuous zigzag could suggest something else. Happy for you to private message me with pic of your chart if you like an I can try and help 😊 What app do you use to chart? X
