MrsC that's absolutely fab! You can relax and enjoy the process now :)

Just went to Boots to pick up some extra vitamins (vit C and zinc to go with my folic acid/Vit D) and got myself a FRER too as imagine will need it at some point. The woman at the till gave me a knowing look and said that I can get extra points on my advantage card if I'm buying baby products and did a half wink. I know she shouldn't have really as can't assume that being pregnant would be good news for me, but actually I really liked it - made me feel like I'm about to enter a special club or something.

Sad to read stories of parents/in-laws who might not be over the moon or excited to hear our news. Think our family members on both sides should be happy but my parents will be a million times more involved (thank goodness!)

Hey ladies, Id like to hop on please?! Finish the last pill in my pack on 12th March so wont be joining you with BFPs just yet (get married in June so want my body back to normal first)

Just wondered, post-pill normally Ive had a withdrawal bleed a few days after the pack has finished. When do I start counting CD or do I have to wait til AF makes an appearance? Confused

Hi laura, welcome aboard.

I haven't just come off the pill (came off mine a few years ago) but there will be others around soon who can advise. I think you could use the first day of your withdrawal bleed as CD1 but you might not ovulate for a while afterwards. Everyone is different though! Are you going to be tracking with OPKs and things or just let things settle for a bit?

Oysterbabe · 06/02/2017 15:51

Welcome! I had my withdrawal bleed start today and I'm counting CD1. I'm not really considering it a proper cycle until I get my first proper af though.

Redpony1 · 06/02/2017 15:56

I haven't had a withdrawal bleed, and no AF yet, last pill was beginning of Dec, so CD62 for me, i am counting it as a cycle as i know i ovulated.

You might get a BFP before ever seeing AF Red :)

Sitting in Sainsbury's cafe with a cuppa. DS is asleep in the pushchair.... and relax 😍

I'm not sure how to go about this cycle. Previous cycles we have dtd very frequently.. first cycle every day of fertile week, 2nd cycle two days leading up to ovulation and day of. I am Day 2 of fertile week and expect to ovulate on Fridays we dtd last night.. not sure if we should try EOD this cycle. I'm on a night shift on Friday night so no dtd on ovulation day but can make sure we are active around it

Jupiter - I was thinking of using OPKs after my first cycle really. I wanted to see if I regulate a normal 28 day cycle like before. It doesnt show up after 28 days I will probably start using them just to keep a track on fertility days tbh. Id be quite happy to fall pregnant in May just dread it incase it happens in April (secretly dying with happiness inside though haha!)

Redpony - this could be your time to start growing girl?! I bet you get your BFP this month..lots of baby dust to you

Oyster - wow okay, well fingers crossed mine will make an appearance fairly soon. I cannot wait to come off this pill its taking its toll on me now - major hair thinning and weight fluctuation is unreal. My poor legs are covered with stretch marks where I keep going up and down so quick. I have legs of somebody wiht 5 children and im only 21 with none Sad haha.

Hi xlaura! Welcome on board! Hope your cycle gets back to normal very quick!
red how long since it happened now?
mummy Im wondering the same, might leave the first two days of FW according to ovia if no positive opks and do the next three days instead!

HeyJupiter · 06/02/2017 16:37

Mummyme might be worth trying EOD this cycle? I think that's what we'll do next month. Don't think my DH can really manage more than 2-3 of DTD in a row so EOD seems like good compromise.

laura sounds like a good plan with the OPKs. My first AF came exactly 28 days after stopping the pill which was very lucky and made things easier to monitor. Good luck!

Hi laura! Welcome! How's the wedding planning going? I'd count as CD1 until AF appears I reckon.
mummy that sounds like bliss, i managed to sneak off work early so just on my train home :) I bought a new lipstick today and was super excited, said to my colleagues 'I've got something to tell you' and they instantly said 'omg you're pregnant!' I was like no (inside thinking gosh imagine if I am! They were so excited bless em and genuinely disappointed when I said no, but I have a lovely new lipstick 😂)
I deffo don't feel anything today though so think I had phantom symptoms and that AF will make an appearance this weekend as expected. Actually quite disappointed at the thought. What a bloody rollercoaster of emotions this all is!

HeyJupiter · 06/02/2017 16:52

Ohh buzz you are far from out yet. Loads of people don't have any symptoms at all. Are you going to do any early tests or just wait for AF to come/not come. It is such a rollercoaster though - I'm only 2DPO and convinced I feel "different" haha.

I think I should wait? I know for a fact it'll be Thursday and I'll be buying all the FRER known to man!! 😂

Ovia says 5 days to pregnancy test so yeah Saturday. Keep me sane girls and don't let me give in!

Report
MrsC2017 · 06/02/2017 17:08

buzz very hard to stay strong, I didn't bother with frers but tested early with ICs, I figured it would show up at some stage if I was! Thursday is close though and not to far from what ovia says so it's def not ridiculously early to test if you do!

Report
buzzmoon · 06/02/2017 17:10

ICs?

Report
HeyJupiter · 06/02/2017 17:10

Ohhh buzz it's really hard to resist! Thursday wouldn't be crazy early at all but you could compromise with Friday? :) So tempting though. Ovia always recommends I test the day before my AF is due which seems weird - maybe Ovia enjoys the suspense too!

Stay strong!
I'm not an early tester as I get too depressed by the blank whiteness of a negative test. I'm not buying a test until I'm late.

Mummyme87 · 06/02/2017 17:14

Ah buzz it's so bloody tempting to test early and spend hours of your life looking for lines. I would say hold out for AF day but I can't talk, I'm flippin mental when it gets to 8dpo 🙈
