Confused get onto Pinterest there are so many great ideas! Etsy is great as well for that. I am tempted to buy myself a cute 'mama bear' top and ask him if he likes my new pyjamas? There's also lots of different 'preggers' tops that you can get. Some people find it a bit cringey but I love it! How about something like this? Getting way too excited.

jupiter I'm taking vitamin c, just the ones u dissolve in water and use it to wash back my vitamin D and folic acid every morning! No idea if I need it or not, was taking it anyway over winter to try and find off colds and flu!

The only thing I've thought of doing is getting a box of either blue or pink balloons for DPs nieces and all our family to open for the gender reveal :)

Ah I went there a couple of years ago! Easily my favourite European city! You'll have a fab time!

Definitely going to raid Pinterest for announcement ideas and get a secret board on the go!!

My sis announced by saying they'll be some else living with them from Oct... Everyone thought she was getting a dog🐶😂

Last time I announced by phoning my mum, waiting 12 to 13 seconds then everyone else knew. I call her jungle drums.
I imagine I'll do the same this time.
I didn't tell anyone until after the 12 week scan.

Oh Pinterest is the best! So many good ideas. Speaking of gender reveals - we were chatting to friends at the wedding about a mutual friend who is pregnant who found out she was having a girl at 18 weeks. She announced it, had a beautiful sign made, family all buying pink gifts etc - has the 20 week scan and is told oh actually it's a boy 😂😂😂

Oysterbabe · 05/02/2017 18:36

Oh dear 😂
We didn't find out until the birth. I was so overwhelmed I forgot I didn't know the sex until DH said "It's a girl 😐"

Report
MrsC2017 · 05/02/2017 19:25

oyster I thought I was the only person who did that, never occurred to me to also what I had 😂! Then midwife eventually was like "oh let's see what you had then"!
parsnips oh gosh, I've heard it happen that people get told its x and when it's born it's y! Apparently it's very distressing when that happens, I guess people have had a picture in their head!
I won't find out, I figure there isn't many surprises in life so it's nice to have one or two!

Report
Wiggleyfingers · 05/02/2017 19:26

I would love to wait to find out the sex but again my control freak organisation would just take over! I think it's the teacher in me, I compulsively plan everything. It's a shame because my friend didn't find out and everyone took bets and it was so much fun.

buzzmoon · 05/02/2017 19:46

wiggly I'm the same! I'll need to know and just pray the sonographer is correct!!
hb Lisbon is probabl my fave European city mrs you'll have a fab time! Fill up on nata tarts 😋

Argh just went to set up the CBFM and it says you have to do it on cycle day 1-4 or you have to wait until next AF?!! Wtf! So annoying .. i'm CD6. Seems a lot of faff.. will use the cheap OPKs this month.

We aren't even sure if we will DTD in fertile week this cycle because (we were debating it in the car back from MIL) we still have a ton of work to do on our house and a Feb 2018 baby (original plan) would be easier than a Nov 2017 one.. but I like the idea of a newborn to snuggle at Christmas! We will see what happens

I've also found a new builder ..fx he is reliable! We agreed we are going to outsource all the work to get it done and not try and do DIY on top of working FT

Yay for DTD confused ... I take it you didn't DTD on the bedroom floor then?
Lovely I'll put you on the list for BFP due April! Well done on all the vitamining!
I absolutely love pinterest - I have a secret baby board for nursery ideas and bits and pieces I'd like to make!
I don't think I want to find out the gender... a surprise would be lovely but I think DH will want to know. I might have to overrule :D
I don't know whether to tell parents/close family right away or wait until after scan. My sister waited and just sent us all the scan pic but I think my mum was a bit disappointed she didn't already know. But then again if Mum knows, then the whole extended family will know like you Oyster... I guess I'll focus on getting preggers first and then decide!

Grumpy How annoying! What work are you getting done? x

Sounds like a good plan Squirrel, leave it to the pros :)

I really hope to either have a tiny squishy newborn or be heavily pregnant next Christmas as then I'll have the perfect excuse to stay home and not drag myself up and down the fucking country visiting various relatives!
