awww buzz I hope you are OK. Funnily enough, I was looking at DIY co-sleepers from an IKEA crib too (go pinterest!!!) The next to me ones seem quite expensive for something that will only get used for a few months but absolutely something I would love to have. I bet the cat would end up in it more than the baby tho! I honestly have no idea what we're going to do with her when we have a baby... She snuggles up to us every night and totally kicks off if she's locked away from us.

I also love the idea of snuggling a baby up in a sling like a little baby kangaroo :)

I think I just get things as and when I need them. My sister had so much stuff, most of it didn't get used. I expect we will get quite a few hand me downs as my brother and sister both have kids and countless cousins who will be out growing cots and things.

Mouse I hope you are doing OK my lovely xxxx

Welcome to Laura and Broom xx

I've had another busy day but have been reading in between. Love hearing all the wedding plans, it's so exciting :)

xlaura · 07/02/2017 21:52

Buzz - aww bless your heart. I hope your feeling a little bit better now. I've kinda become obsessed in the last couple of days with this thread. You guys are my new TTC bitches (please don't be offended it's just the way I talk☺️) my front spare room that currently looks like this has built in wardrobe which is where the boiler and bedding and towels along with all my dresses and handbags and other shit I don't know where to store haha! I have no choice but to buy a wardrobe because there ain't nowhere I can be moving that crap too haha! We moved in on 23rd December 2015 and was manic. And I had to do xmas dinner haha! It's now been up for sale since November got itchy feet and ready to move again. Desperately want to get it done and dusted ideally before wedding and LO arriving but know the market isn't always that simple. I'm desperately running out of room!! Haha

xlaura · 07/02/2017 21:53

Can't upload anymore pics grrr..who decided 6 was a max per day? How rude haha!!

Mummyme87 · 07/02/2017 22:22

xlaura I know what you mean about fear of hurting baby in sling. However, when DS was about 5wks old I tripped over in pothole, saved myself putting pressure down on the handle bar of pram and brought it down with me, leaving pram up on its end. Thank god I had The zip bit done up on the pram so DS just slid down and was protected. Bloody shat myself 😫😂 prams just as dangerous lol.

sevenofnine most people I know used the next to me cot for up to 7/8months. If it gets me more sleep and successful breastfeeding I'll pay anything (my DS never slept EVER 😵😱😴)

My IC OPK still very negative, CB OPK flashing smiley face. I'm expecting a static smiley on Thursday FX

buzzmoon · 07/02/2017 22:23

Awh thanks all, you're all so kind! What would I do without you? Flowers

Bloody hell laura wedding, baby anddddd moving house! Isn't that all of life's most stressful things all in one? Good luck!!

Think you're right seven I know I'm going to be tempted to buy everything 'just in case' but I should just buy when you need it after baby comes

I used gumtree for almost all our furniture when we moved in and upcycled, I hope to do the same with baby stuff although I'm sure there are certain things you deffo wouldn't want second hand :)

buzzmoon · 07/02/2017 22:24

mummy is that normal for you? Are the IC opks not very sensitive? I've not got the CBD one

MouseLove · 07/02/2017 22:30

Thank you ladies for the well wishes. I'm doing ok mentally. Physically is proving painful and uncomfortable. Your lovely messages are helping. Everyone is so lovely here.

Confused the specialist has given me a complete ban for the next 2 months which is understandable. He will assess my levels in April and make a call. He hinted at 4-6 months ideally but it could take up to 12 months. I'm just hoping and wishing that everything will be normal in a few months.

At the moment I want to get to the 18th for my scan. Then if I'm feeling better I'll start back at the gym. I think I'll aim for small weight loss goals first. 5lbs at a time.

Noroo I'm sorry you're going through this too. Mine was a mmc too. I was waiting for a d&c but passed the baby naturally. I was almost 10 weeks but baby measured only 6+3 😢

Seven0fNine · 07/02/2017 22:34

They do look fab and that's just it mummy you can't put a price on a good night's sleep! Xx
Have you seen those comfy cushion things they do too. Forget what they're called.Almost like a dog bed for babies. I wish they did adult sized ones, they look so snuggly!

buzzmoon · 07/02/2017 22:39

Ooh that sounds good seven do you have a link?

Thinking of both of you mouse and room Flowers

TheGrumpySquirrel · 07/02/2017 22:52

Would I be crazy not to get anything crib or cot wise and just co sleep? I really hope I can breastfeed, I have breast implants (got them after DD) but they are under the muscle so should be ok I think..

I'm up for a hippy sling as well (iykwim), and a nice design pram.

DH has a cold, I hope he recovers in time for fertile week!

Mummyme87 · 07/02/2017 22:54

sevenofnine is it the sleepyhead? I want that too 🙈 To put in the co sleeper 😂

buzz the IC OPK only pick up two days of high fertility so assuming it will pick up on Thursday and Friday.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 07/02/2017 23:17

Spoke too soon, I told him I'm not in fertile week and he jumped me! I think as the pressure is off that meant we he could DTD in a very hot relaxed way Blush sorry tmi! Grin

Night ladies!!

Mummyme87 · 08/02/2017 06:55

CD12... this is dragging!! I must say I'm not getting my usual increase in sex drive that I normally get in fertile week 🤔
I'm doing a rubbish job at temping. I forget to do it before I do anything else

buzzmoon · 08/02/2017 07:03

What's your normal temping range those who are? I feel like I must be doing mine wrong, although have pretty much managed to do it at the same time (ish) without getting up or anything

xlaura · 08/02/2017 07:07

Morning ladies. Yet again was wiped out last couldn't even keep my eyes open any longer 😴 what is a co-sleeper? I've seen those sleepyheads they look amazing. Like sleeping on a ball of cotton wool 😂 even id have a good go at sleeping on that I recon.
I don't plan on bf, never have ever been one to think I'll do it I'll just stick to formula but each to their own you do what works out best for you.

Another day down and another day closer to end of the pill pack 🎉 wahoo!! Haha

Seven0fNine · 08/02/2017 07:19

Yes a sleepy head! They look amazing!

I think you can if you want Grumpy but it's safer if they're in their own little space. Because of covers and squashing risks.. Depends how big your bed is tho. If we had a bigger bed I'd just get a sleephead and plonk them in the middle on that

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 08/02/2017 07:24

Morning ladies! Still no sign of AF - CD 28 since I got the implant out. Not had a withdrawal or anything! Would love to know what is going on down there! My sis in law has one of those next to me co sleepers - they look great but our dog would definitely end up in there too! With proper co-sleeping in the bed with you I think they recommend you sleep just on the mattress on floor in case baby falls out. Seems very disruptive. I have a friend doing it and she and he DH now sleep separately. We are going to use a Moses basket for as long as poss then a cot in baby's room (assuming baby will sleep for a while).

Mummyme87 · 08/02/2017 07:44

We didn't a lot of co sleeping with DS, by day 5/6 so many families co sleep but without any knowledge. They are scared to speak to HCP about it because of the bad press. UNICEF have produced a document for HCP last year about safe cosleepung with plenty of facts and figures 353ld710iigr2n4po7k4kgvv-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/babyfriendly/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2016/07/Co-sleeping-and-SIDS-A-Guide-for-Health-Professionals-2.pdf

I plan to express antenatally from 36/40 again. I did this last time and had 100mlnof colostrum which was invaluable. DS was in neonatal unit with meningitis and I was unwell so struggled in the early days. We got to exclusively breastfeeding by 7days against the odds but by 3weeks introduced formula as my antibiotics were making DS unwell and he refused to feed. I'm still devastated 😔 Mothers guilt!!! So really determined for next baby. DS had stomach problems for 7months and I blame the combination of antibiotics he was pumped with and formula 😔

Oysterbabe · 08/02/2017 07:55

I've always taken a very baby led approach with DD from the off. We co-slept for about 2 months because she needed the cuddles and wouldn't sleep at all otherwise.
It's scary being out in the world. I still shared with DH and DD was on the edge away from him. One day she just didn't need it anymore and was happy in the snuzpod. It really does depend on what kind of baby you get. I'm all for doing whatever results in the most sleep for everyone.

Mummyme87 · 08/02/2017 07:55

This is my temping so far buzz would rate its accuracy however

Getting Ready for Baby Challenge-Pt3
Mummyme87 · 08/02/2017 07:59

Sorry this is my up to date one. It didn't include today's temp

Getting Ready for Baby Challenge-Pt3
Mummyme87 · 08/02/2017 08:00

Apparently you get a drop in temp just before ovulation.... maybe that's why I had a low reading today. Who knows

HbH04 · 08/02/2017 08:07

Hang in there parsnips think my post pill bleed was 30 days... Hopefully not much longer!

Glad things are slowly getting better mouse small goals sound like a good plan based around your health x

mummy are you temping the second you wake up, at the same time everyday? Think it has to be very consistent & you have to be practically still asleep for accurate reading. I did it a bit of jan for a practice but decided it was too intense until I'm actually TTC!

xlaura · 08/02/2017 08:07

Parsnips - I can imagine your rather frustrated. I'm getting frustrating just thinking what I'm gonna do if it doesn't return quick let alone be in your position and actually be there. Hopefully soon your af turns up so you know what's going on with your poor 🤞🏼

Just googled co-sleepers..I think I'd get into such a bad habit of picking them up for cuddles and going to bed I'd be so incase something happened (there's that pessimist side in me coming out again!) I always think the worst which I don't know if it's a good thing or not really. Both my niece and nephew were in there own rooms by 10-12 weeks old which some people may completely disagree with but they were fine in there and slept through all night from 10:30 feed to 6 in the morn which was a blessing in disguise I think haha.

confusedat23 · 08/02/2017 08:31

oh god about the Pram thing Mummy but my friend did the same thing... Her DD was only about 4 weeks old andshe came flying out the pramonto the pavement! so you are not the only one

I am really not keen on the idea of co-sleeping and so I am not going to get the next to me... I am thinking ofgetting a cot bed even though I know it will never be able to be passed down but I just think they are better cost wise Smile

Mouse I am so sorry you had to pass the baby naturally I know you really really did not want to do that! The only silver lining is that you have a cause so you can work on that and move forward! I hope DP is being kind to you Flowers

I have seen a lot about this antenatal extraction at the moment! I am thinking of bf but expressing also. Who was it on here that said they did that? What I wanted to know is that when they are newborn how do you manage that? Don't newborns BFsomething like every 2hours?

You can get a pre-ov dip I believe Mummy but I thought the spike was when ov actually happened? but your fertile days are showing afterwards Confused
