How long for One Step POAS to show BFP?

I am due my period today and had slight cramps all day yesterday, but different to my usual AF cramps.

This is our 3rd month TTC and we used preseed lube this month. I have had sore breasts and increased CM this last week, so I decided to take a test. I have a load of internet cheap sticks and it came up with BFN.
They are the One Step brand, not sure if they are early detection or not. How long before you got your BFP on One step if AF was late?

I was 18dpo before I got an extremely faint positive on a One Step. I got a very clear BFP on a FRER 13dpo!

Ahhh, so if I go and buy a FRER I might have more luck?

I have a Clearblue in the drawer, was keeping it for to confirm when I get a faint line on One Step.

Are Clearblue any good?

Clear blue should be accurate on the day of your missed period. I think it's when you're testing earlier that they're not quite as good, is those cases first response are more sensitive. But you should be good with a CB today. FX for you let us know

My One Step test was BFP at 18dpo but it was really very faint. Day after I did frer and got a nice clear positive. I've got a thread with pics called something BFP but too faint for 16-18dpo.
Pregnancy and ovulation tests are 3for2 at boots at the moment!

I got a very obvious and indisputable One Step BFP but I'd left testing until I was nearly a week late. so 20dpo.

I got a bfp on one step the day after af was due.

If I am testing the day AF is due, do I need FMU? Can't wait until tomorrow!!

You will always get a stronger result with fmu. I would wait until the morning. Your urine will be stronger and if pregnant the hormone level will have risen. Otherwise you could find yourself effectively weeing on a 5er and none the wiser.

We used preseed last month as well, but didn't work. This is our second month using it. DH not keen on it, strangely he commented that it seems to 'dry up' my natural lubricant, and he says he would rather not use it!! If it has worked, then I say it's worth it!!!

One Step are not sensitive at all. Good luck with the FRER!

So now I'm confused, the day of AF and still no sign apart from odd cramps...and still BFN!

Part of me thinks I may have the dates slightly off and it still might be too early, but then the rest of me is expecting AF any second and don't want to waste money on a FRER if that is the case.

Ohh so frustrating for you! Looks like you might need to sit tight for a couple more days then retest, I would use a FRER next time. More money but worth it for the peace of mind!

Personally I think I can see a very faint line on your test, so you might not be out yet! I would leave it a couple of days and do a FRER. Good luck!

Yes, I think I can! When I was pg with DD3, it took a few days for the line to show up properly. Even when I was getting results on the Clearblue Digital, the internet cheaply ones were showing negative, so I wouldn't rely on those. Hopefully try again in a few days.

I can't see a line I'll be honest. I got a very faint line on an IC at CD34 when I previously had a BFN on CD32. I took one of those cross tests the same day and got a very definite cross. I'm 7 weeks today. I would wait a few more days before testing again. Good luck!!
