How long for One Step POAS to show BFP?

I am due my period today and had slight cramps all day yesterday, but different to my usual AF cramps.

This is our 3rd month TTC and we used preseed lube this month. I have had sore breasts and increased CM this last week, so I decided to take a test. I have a load of internet cheap sticks and it came up with BFN.
They are the One Step brand, not sure if they are early detection or not. How long before you got your BFP on One step if AF was late?

Thanks for reading.

I think I have started AF. Sad

More cramps etc

It's unlikely to be implantation bleeding, right? If it's exactly when my period would be?

If you've got normal flow for you're period then yes unlikely to be implantation I'm afraid x

I'm so sorry, Butterscotch. It does sound like AF, tbh. I truly am sorry if I've inadvertently made things worse. I hope next month is your month x

No don't worry, I appreciated you all taking the time to reply. I kinda had an idea that it wasn't this month because of the cramps that wouldn't go away.

Fingers crossed for next month. I have ovulation sticks and a thermometer so planning to track ovulation more carefully as I'm not sure if I'm getting it right so far! Poor DH won't know what's happening!! Wink

Sorry this wasn't your month. Just for future months - I found the Superdrug own brand test to be cheaper but good. It gave me a BFP at 12dpo whereas the One Step didn't show until about 17dpo.

Thank you, I have heard good things about Superdrug's own brand, I'll have to stock up next time I'm in!

Personally I would never test before AF is due. Always wait for a missed period or you'll be spending loads and worrying even more. You'll have 9 months to wait for a baby. Another week is actually a blessing.
